    #13 sub in a tub Mike's Way.
    Patty C.

I've been eating at Jersey Mikes in other locations around the Bay Area for years but when I heard they were coming to SV just minutes from my home I was excited. My two favorites are the big kahuna and the original #13. I like to get the #13 in a tub (sub in a tub is basically a salad - no bread). I get it Mikes Way and sometimes with extra cheese and meat. They have staffed it very well. Everyone helps each other out as many of the employees are new. All of the workers are always smiling and super nice. They have really started off making a great impression. It's also a bonus that they have seating inside. Another new spot came to the shopping center not long ago and they didn't have seating and it didn't go over well. Some people like to eat their food right away. I'll definitely be back.

    Portabella

What happened to Jersey Mike's in Scott's valley? We have been ordering sandwiches since they first opened up and this is the first time the sandwiches were so small and missing ingredients. I ordered the big kahuna and me wife that the portabella mushroom and Swiss. Both of these sandwiches had very little cheese and my with didn't think the mushrooms were portabella, they were so small. The big kahuna didn't have any grilled peppers, just one or two jalapenos. Even the bread seemed smaller. What happened? Did the come under new management? Now we will have to go back to Subway so we know what they put on the sandwich and how much.

I called in a #56, it was delicious. The 56 is my favorite. It was ready when I arrived, very efficient.

Sandwiches are good and I'm glad they have real brewed iced tea but I'm tired of dirty restaurants and cleaning my own table.

    Do you make salads?

Not that I know of, but they do have the option to make a bowl out of the sandwich fillings.

We got the Grotto (fresh, blackened snapper, chimichurri tomatoes, jalapeno-lime slaw, tarragon-basil aioli, arugula, francese roll) and the Sailor (New York style pastrami, Vermont white cheddar cheese, pickled onions, arugula, coriander-mustard aioli, francese roll). How are we supposed to try different sandwiches when these are so good you'd want to order them again and again? They had plenty of craft beers and canned wine. I tried a mimosa one and decided that Somerbella was the best canned wine I've ever had. I wanted to try every flavor so I bought all 6 ($7 a pop.) The owner saw me carrying all the cans in my arms and asked if she could send a pic to the supplier. I said sure! :) They also made the most perfect banana cream pudding for dessert. And sold Jeni's ice cream. I seriously can't wait to go back.

Menu options: 1) They have physical menus that give descriptions of what is inside the sandwiches 2) They have visuals above the service counter Decor - they have nicer, artistic and more appetizing looking photos on the wall My husband and I managed to get a table on their back patio - they have a decent amount of seating space. Sandwiches were pretty good! My husband and swapped half of each other's sandwiches so we could try 2 different ones. I really enjoyed the Neptune (turkey) - lots of flavor. The Grotto was nice (red snapper fish), but I wish it was seasoned more. Overall, we would definitely come back to Seabright Deli! Each sandwich is roughly $20, but they're the size of 2 meals.

Just hop in line, grab a ticket, wait to be called to order, then head to the next register to pay! The place has that classic, old-school sandwich deli feel, warm and inviting. There's also outdoor seating, which is perfect if you want to catch some sun and enjoy your food. We originally found this spot on Yelp (and saw it all over TikTok), so expectations were definitely high and it didn't disappoint. My wife and I were on the hunt for the perfect beach sandwich, and this was exactly that. I went with the chicken parmesan sandwich... and wow. The cheese pull alone was worth it!! We took our food to the beach, paired it with a cold adult beverage and some BBQ kettle chips, and it absolutely hit the spot. Definitely a place worth checking out if you're in Santa Cruz and craving a solid sandwich.

The very next day, we ordered the exact same thing, and they came on what looked like half a slice of bread. There was absolutely no consistency in the portion size. To make matters worse, we were charged $16 for two kids' grilled cheeses on the second visit, yet the day before we paid only $10 for what appeared to be a larger portion. Paying more for less made no sense. What was most disappointing, though, was the customer service. The employees were incredibly rude and acted as if we were an inconvenience instead of paying customers. Rather than answering our questions or addressing our concerns professionally, they were dismissive and made us feel unwelcome. We gave this place a second chance, hoping our first experience was just an off day, but it ended up being even worse. Between the inconsistent portions, confusing pricing, and poor customer service, we won't be returning and can't recommend this place to others.

I think you can make the wrong choice on your 1st/2nd/3rd visit depending on your taste, but I also think you should come back and you'll absolutely find something that 100% tickles your pickle. I've tried most of their hot sandwiches: - Noni's Pesto Chicken: this is one of my favorite sandwiches of all time. It's not very complex but for some reason the combination of flavors just is *chefs kiss*. 5* for this alone, don't fight me - Surf City Philly: can be surprisingly spicy, heavy but SO good. This is my third favorite. - Chicken Cowabunga: not that great, would skip, but I also have a whole website on fried chicken sandwich rankings so I'm picky - Vulcan Mind Melt: sounds so good on paper but it's just heavy. I would skip - Crispy Cod Wrap: I've had a bite or two of this and I thought it was pretty good but not that memorable - Pork Belly Banh Mi: this was good, and I don't usually like pork belly - Chipotle Chicken Club: also kinda heavy but I really enjoyed this! This is my second favorite. - Cubano: not particularly memorable Not a sandwich but Beer Barnacles: ugh I enjoyed this more often than I should have, sorry not sorry. 5*

I had a pastrami sandwich there once before and it was pretty good, so figured this would do. Ordered the burger combo with Lentil soup. Asked for my burger medium and when it came out it was well past that and I'm pretty sure it was a frozen patty. I have frozen patties I cook at home that are great, so guessing it just wasn't very good quality to begin with. The lentil soup was flavorless and I only had a few bites before tossing out. Seasoning, a ham hock, and some aromatics would do a lot for this soup. Left feeling very disappointed as there are a bunch of more satisfying options in the area and I chose the wrong one. As I was sitting in traffic, my stomach started feeling like I ate some broken glass or something. Obviously there wasn't broken glass in the burger, just a fitting analogy. I had stomach pains for the next few hours. This is all I had eaten in like 10 hours, so I'm positive it was the burger. The woman at the counter was friendly and the place was pretty clean. I've got a pretty iron gut and it takes a lot to make it turn. Don't think I will be going back.
