They were both spicy, and one was slightly spicier than the other but neither was what I'm used to for Nashville Chicken. The spicier one was maybe a Hattie B's medium. My tastes at Hattie's is usually for their Hot or Damn Hot, I've learned to stay away from "Shut the cluck up". Wow! Hot! And that was with the basic stuff! You gotta be careful here unless you're really really into hot spicy food. If you are just go for it and have a blast. Everything here was over the top for me and I love spicy food. 2°. Painful is not fun. Start with the basic level and work your way up slowly. They do have free refills on drinks, though, which is great because you're going to need them. It's a dry rub, not the wet rub like Nashville has, but I know what they're going for. And it's hot. We also tried the fire hot, and while it was really good... it definitely lives up to the name. Let's just say my mouth knew it had made a bold decision. If you love serious heat, that one's for you. The sandwich itself was chef's kiss. The chicken was thick and juicy, layered perfectly with crunchy slaw, pickles, and a soft toasted bun that somehow managed to hold everything together without falling apart.
