We planned ahead and brought our bottle of wine and had a wonderful time. We went on an open studio night, so I did the door mat project, and he did the string art project. If you are crafty or creative, the studio is so fun! There are so many supplies and fun things. Audra was our teacher and she was great! She was very friendly and welcoming but gave us space to get creative and do our own thing. Everybody at the class on the night we went was very nice and we got to chat with everyone. From looking at some of the other projects they had displayed and listening to them talk about what they have coming up, I'm guessing I'll be back soon for more fun projects!

The image I chose for girls night was Moonlight at the San Pasqual Wine tasting room in La Mesa. The San Pasqual tasting room was located in a very cute and walkable area in La Mesa. There was plenty of street parking, and I didn't have any problems finding the location or parking. It is a 3 hour event, so depending on the location, availability of food varies. The winery offered cheese platters and a variety of wines. Since they didn't have food, we were allowed to bring in food from neighboring restaurants. I chose a glass of their sangria for my drink of choice. I absolutely loved it. It was the perfect blend of wine and citrus. The whole experience was awesome and I had so much fun! I love my painting and I already have it on my wall! I'm planning another one with the girls already! Jason is a really good teacher! He's patient, funny, and talented in addition to being able to survive a room of primarily women drinking and painting! I completely recommend Paint-A-holics for a girls night or a date night!

Serial killer speakeasy was killer! Haha…read more The shows were great! They were like mini stories about the 4 serial killers; Gein, Dahmer, Gacy & Bundy! I got the mocktails, and let me tell you... they were DELICIOUS! My favorite was the 2nd drink with the sprinkles, and the last one with Biscoff was my 2nd favorite! The show was also very interactive with the crowd, which made it even more fun! The only downside was the ladies sitting behind me, they were VERY loud and talked way too much, which was pretty annoying. But overall, the show moved pretty fast, and luckily there were 4 bathroom breaks! Definitely made it easy to enjoy the whole thing!

Once you know you're going to start rings, I would go and buy your stones from S&J because it'll be cheaper!

Splash in a perfect pool and hot tub as needed, mix it all together and you become the best partner ever for pulling off the best birthday celebration ever! Who knew??!! Painting with Canvas is the bomb! The price is right, and they bring all the needed supplies. All we had to do was extend invites and make sure we had tables and chairs. Francesca and her assistant Lana couldn't have been more enjoyable during the event, and Stephanie - who helps support from afar - made it all seem so very easy, so much help to make this a perfect evening. One thing in particular we enjoyed was Francesca shared a lot of information about the painting we were doing as we moved through the evening - details about the artist, his life, and how it related to the painting. Who Knew??!! You can have fun AND learn at the same time! Don't worry - if you've never put brush to paint to canvas before ... if you can't draw a box (like me) - you CAN do this! They step you through each part to create your masterpiece, and along the way they help you learn technique, understand some of the painting concepts, as well as help you to enjoy painting your own creation! I am not artsy, I can't even draw perfect stick people, my birds look like m's, my drawing skill is…read morestill somewhere in the 1st grade level, but there is this artist inside of me that just keeps trying and have been wanting to do a painting class for years now, just never was brave enough to step out of my comfort zone to show up in public and make a fool of myself. With that said I found a really great offer on Living Social for a 2 hour paint class for 2 for the price of one person with Painting on Canvas so I bought it an then I quickly messaged my partner in crime and see if she was up for it, and thankfully she said yes! Booked a class a month out from when I bought the deal and waited for the day. I was a bundle of nerves, I can't draw, seriously can not draw, but Francesca was super nice and helpful and gave great instructions and technique and slowly my blank white canvas started to have something on it, that looked ok. This was fun, it was stressful because I was fearful of messing up (which I did plenty of) but it was fun and rewarding, and honestly I can't wait to do it again haha. Who knows maybe the inner artist in me will finally work their way out! Now time to find my next class with Painting On Canvas.

The actors were all spot on with their characters and the entire show ran smoothly. Masks are still required. There is plenty of seating and there is not a bad seat in the building.
