Over the years, I've been to The Pageant a few times for shows. The last show was in May of 2026. I traveled out to see Dayseeker, Northlane, Wind Walkers, and Sace6. I've never been to a bad show here. It also helps that there are other things to do and eat in the area. You want a date night rock show? This area is perfect for that. I'm prompted to this review because this last show was the first time I've sit up top. Results may vary from venue to venue when it comes to sitting up top. I'm not sure but in the future, I might opt to sit up top for every show. Sometimes you run the risk of the sound bouncing off back walls and ceilings which can make things miserable if you're catching the sound from multiple directions. I'm happy to report the sound is contained in this venue. To begin, all 4 of these bands have perfected their live sound. That definitely helps in small and large venues alike. If any of your favorites roll through here, you owe it to yourself to attend. The only peeve I had this time was the merch. It's a bit odd how this venue handles merch. There were multiple locations for the merch inside the venue. Dayseeker merch was in the big room up front but my question... why not put all the acts in one room? they were spread out which also led to mass confusion with multiple long lines snaking and intersecting with each other. This music and entertainment venue has new life. The venue now has seats on the lower level that were only for special shows. I would always call the box office to be sure of the layout before buying tickets. I saw Qveen Herby and Thot Squad (May 20th) and it was a safe vibe of all types of people. The check in process was smooth and someone helped me to my seat up stairs. I enjoyed the show but my accessible seat kind of sucked because once folks stood up I couldn't see. I asked some other people to help me be a mood killer and kindly ask others to sit down, but the venue should adjust those seats one more time. Also they should go back to just being a smoking building because everyone was vaping and the smell of smoke and marijuana was very pronounced! Either crack down hard or let the people smoke it up. Accessibility note: there is not enough parking so get an uber or pray to the parking goddesses. There is stepless entry but if your seat is upstairs, you will need a proper staff member to key in the elevator for you. I waited over 10 minutes for assistance (they bought me a drink tomorrow ease that soreness). Bring headphones or ear plugs as the whole suite booms! Don't be afraid to tell folks down in front because you cannot see. read more

I've been going to the Pageant for YEARS! It's always been a good but last nights show with Michelle Buteau was FABULOUS. Not just because she's hilarious but the more recent facelift to the actual venue just breathed new life into the space. They have chairs and built in tables, bars on both levels AND the outside as well as clean bathrooms! I know that seems like a given but it's a HUGE plus in heavily populated public spaces. The only real drawback were the drinks. You pay cocktail prices for something I would consider less than a cocktail as they were more juice than anything. No worries though, the staff makes up for it with their helpful attitudes. Oh! And honorable mention to the entire production starting and ending ON TIME! BRAVO! read more

Love the intimacy of this venue. I've seen multiple bands, Small Town Murder live shows, El Monstero, and the like here. It's the perfect number of seats. Not too big; not too small. The view from any seat is great. Even in the "nosebleeds," you're not far from the stage. The sound is outstanding. The staff are always friendly. Even when getting busted sneaking liquor in, they were so nice, LOL! Bathrooms are clean and plentiful. The bar? Expensive. I mean, expect to pay concert venue prices. Just club soda is even $4. They will, however, let you bring food in or even order food to the venue. Parking can be tricky along Delmar. There is a parking lot behind the venue that I recommend. Love this place for concerts and absolutely recommend seeing a show here. read more

Demola in concert. Great violinist! This was my first time at this venue and I really liked it. I had great floor second row seats but there actually is not a bad seat in the building since it's a small and intimate venue. Outside seating available with a halo bar that was not open for this concert . Bar on the inside was open and staff were friendly , speedy check in, security system is in effect which is always a good thing. Drinks were priced reasonable yay. Free parking in the bar fyi. Sound and lighting were great . I will definitely check for more concerts here. Located in the Delmar Loop there is plenty of eateries and venues to entertain you before and or afterwards. read more

I make an annual appearance at the Pageant for El Monstero. The security staff can be a little excitable, may be lacking in some training. The rest of the staff isv warm and friendly. Just like any music venue, the drinks aren't cheap, but they don't short you on the pour either. They have a good selection of beer as well. Parking can sometimes be a challenge. The sound system is pretty good. read more

The service at the bar is great. The vibe is extremely small and intimate compared to massive arenas and amphitheaters. Plus they allow you to bring in whatever food you want, which is amazing. So I got to peacefully enjoy Johnny Swim with some Session Taco with my husband and friends. It was such an amazing night. read more

Came for the Johnnyswim show. Arrived a few minutes after the doors opened and security was well organized, thorough but quick. Quite a few seats still available and we chose some chairs on the 3rd tier. Great seats but they also have bar stools on the other side and when someone sat there made it difficult to see. They have a lot of seating but I would rather some of the bar stools were removed as it is so easy to be blocked by someone sitting on the other side. Drinks were not too expensive and they had free water cups by the drinking fountains. Acoustics are just so nice in The Pageant and no complaints about the concert, sound, etc. parking was easy in the free lot behind as well. We went here for the very first time to see JOHNNYSWIM and whoa! We adored this place! The sound was incredible! I loved where we were sitting; perfect seats for viewing the concert and! Right in front of the bar for easy access to drinks! Bathrooms were close and it was cozy and intimate vibes! Also! A plus was that they serve THC microdose seltzers which is right up my husband and my alley- trying to drink alcohol less so this was a PERFECT option. YES! Perfect venue for an event! I've been to 2 St. Louis County Library events here recently (Rachel Maddow and RuPaul) and even if you're sitting in the balcony, it feels like you are close to the stage. Didn't really eat here as it's an event space but it was well staffed and security was visible. We were able to find street parking and so avoided pricey lots. Just a great evening! read more

I was sooo looking forward to Michelle Buteau's St. Louis show on April 25, 2026. I went to the box office at The Pageant this morning to buy tickets and the box office REFUSED to sell me tickets because they had an on-sale for Slater. Their manager, Justin, told me I'd have to wait in line behind 20 people (and growing) to purchase my tickets for Michelle's show even though I got there at 9:45 am when there were only three people in line. I hate to miss it, but won't be going to show now - nor will I ever frequent the Pageant again. This is not only bad business, it's unfair to the customer and the artist. Forever a favorite concert venue. The seats are super comfy, it's always a great temperature, bathrooms stay clean. The bartenders are the best! Super kind even when slammed & everything seems to be appropriately priced. They do not serve food & parking can be hard to find - but that's just the area! I had not been to the Pageant in years but it was just a nice as it was last time I went, I will continue to going to the concert venue when someone I like it coming, this time it was an R and B singing group and they did not disappoint, the Pageant was the perfect place for them to come, it was called an Intimate night with Jagged Edge and the Pageant to me is an intimate venue, it's upstairs and downstairs seating, there is not a bad seat in this venue. Food is not served in the venue, however you are permitted to bring in outside and I love that. There is a fullbar that was bust busy busy but those bartenders were knocking the lines down quickly. They host an awesome concert called can you feel the punk tonight. It's a punk rock Disney concert for all ages. The band that does the show encourages people to dress up in anything Disney. There is an entire part of the show based around star wars but they confiscate toy lightsabers at the door. What a bunch of buzz kill, time ruining, a-holes. This is such a vibe and it's perfect for live entertainment in such a great place as the Delmar Loop! I highly recommend ordering your tickets online because it made the check-in process so fast and easy. We came to see DayGlow and absolutely loved hearing them live in this place! This place holds the key to a live music environment that appreciates the ambience, the lights, the sound and the vibe all the way to the service from the staff, honestly everything was perfect that night. It's not too crowded and there's plenty of room to walk around, sit at a table and vibe with the music, or dance to your hearts content on the big floor in the middle near the stage. This is my first visit to The Pageant - I don't know why it's taken me so long to attend an event here. As soon as I heard Adam Ant was coming to St. Louis again, I rushed to get tickets and was happy to see that he was playing here since it's a smaller venue and all the seats have a pretty good view. I would love to be more up close and personal with Adam for sure! My only complaint is that the seats are really on top of each other and I wish they were a bit less sardine-like. The sound quality could be a little bit better as well. Adam Ant put on a phenomenal show and this was the first show in his U.S. tour this year. They really rocked it out with amazing heavy drum beats and some great guitar shreds. I moved from my assigned seat in the balcony up to the general admission area directly behind my row so I could stand and dance without blocking anyone else's view. The guy in front of me was over 6'2" and I'm 5'3" and every time he stood up I couldn't see. The restrooms were very close as well and were generally clean, but nothing fancy and only a few stalls. I ordered a tall Tito's and soda with a splash of cranberry and it was a really well-made drink. The bartender was super nice too. I ordered my drink downstairs and walked up to the balcony and when I went for a water refill I was told I wasn't allowed to have glass in the balcony so he took my glass and gave me a plastic cup. No biggie. P.S. The English Beat Open for Adam Ant and they did a phenomenal job as well. read more

Fun place for a concert! This was my second time seeing a show at the pageant and last time it was all GA which is what I thought it was this time but they actually had tables and chairs. It's much smaller than many other venues and you get a pretty good view wherever you are. I will say it's a little dated and I think if they were to update it a little it would make a huge difference. Drinks are on the smaller side compared to other venues but they were good and they check your id on your way in so you can get a stamp and not have to get carded again. I really like when venues do this or wrist bands because it makes things go much faster when ordering drinks. Parking was free and easy in the lot behind the venue. I definitely want to make this a yearly occurrence since el monstero plays here every year! read more

First time here, and I like it. They have pretty organized system from the beginning til the end. I had hard times viewing my tickets online and connecting to Ticketmaster with my phone, an employee noticed my frustration and directed me to the ticket booth, so I was able to print my tickets. We had balcony seats. There is bar sells canned beers, nothing is on tap, and they have cocktails. Drink prices are not bad for the venue. read more

I have attended several shows here, some busy, some not so busy, but I have always had a great time. Great places to sit, and the bar, while busy, gets through the crowd pretty quickly, so there is never a long wait. The staff are very helpful and friendly. In this particular show you had to show vaccination or test result status. Slowly the shows are coming back, and I look forward to attending more shows here as the concert world opens back up! read more

I was invited to a comedy show last Saturday at The Pageant, so I decided to go! I have been coming to The Pageant since I was 15, my first concert here was Simple Plan (lol). I always know the experience is going to be legit, as the acoustics and views of the place are always great. It's just the right size and I'm always taken care of! This particular evening, we grabbed dinner at Moonrise and then walked over. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. The check in process wasn't the most organized and we got jumbled up, but nothing that hindered our experience of the show! We walked in and went to the lower level bar and got some drinks. They had quite a good selection, I was in the midst of dry January and ordered a Wellbeing IPA. Love the local feature, and also becoming aware of how many places don't have N/A options. It was nice to have a choice! We walked upstairs (never sat up there) and we're shown our seats. It was great! When Dan Cummins came out, we were able to hear him clearly and view was great. I was comfortable in my seat, and we were close to the bathrooms/ bar. We didn't have to worry about parking since we ubered. We quickly walked down the street to itap when we were done. I've been wanting to come to The Pageant for awhile now as it is a pretty big and famous event space in St. Louis. I came for the Nick Cannon Future Superstar Tour and I know this review might not be that fair because it's based on the show rather than the venue, but I've got to say that I really didn't enjoy the show. Nick Cannon's Future Superstar is essentially Nick Cannon finding a bunch of up and coming talent and they have a bit of a talent show-esque performance with a seminar to begin with. I thought it might be interesting to discover new artists, but I honestly could barely sit through the show and here's why: - A lot of these up and coming artists are legit, think hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram, but there performances were kind of lacking. Honestly each could just go on their own tour but a lot of it felt really unpracticed - the stage was too big and they weren't able to get the crowd hyped at all. I feel like the performance kind of tarnished their name for me as it felt very unprofessional. - I think it's great that Nick Cannon is involved in such grassroots community empowerment, but honestly he didn't seem very engaged. Also, he can definitely improve his DJ skills. - There was no ending to the show, the lights just came on and everyone just left. The transitions were incredibly rough as it felt like we were just waiting for an artist half of the time. - There needs to be more information online with this show and on the Pageant website because it really isn't a traditional concert and the tickets were expensive as well. Honestly, was not a big fan of the show. The Pageant was okay as well as the bathrooms were kind of dirty that night. I did appreciate they set up and tables and chairs so people didn't have to stand the whole night. But honestly, could not take away from the performance. Honestly, makes me not want to go to another concert again which I know is in no fault of the Pageant but oh gosh. read more

Went to see Ludo in concert in their hometown and it was FANTASTIC! Stayed at the Moonrise Hotel next door and it was Ludo fan central, LOL. We were in line, all dressed up in Halloween costumes, and luckily they opened a new door through the bar so we got in quickly and the friendly bar staff had us sorted with drinks while we people watched the Halloween costumes until the concert started. Drinks are weak, which is probably to stop drunks, and it worked. The crowd was happy, and no fights broke out and everyone was dancing and singing along together, great party atmosphere, band kept it going and we had a blast! Came here for the Rocky Mountain High Experience John Denver Christmas show. Was very pleased. The venue seemed extremely clean in the seating area as well as the restrooms. They had a good size bar with very friendly bartenders. Pretty much anywhere that you sat you could see the stage well. We sat in a row, but had to move up to some bar tables due to my sister's allergies with fragrance and the ladies in front of us having a lot of perfume on. It was nice to have the option to move to the table area which was general admission. They had plenty of parking and back. Also liked the fact that there were lots of restaurants nearby to grab a meal at before or after the show. read more

It's unique layout allows for a number of seating situation and it's tiered layers are definitely a plus for short people. I've been to several concerts here and I really enjoy this venue. Whatever type of band you're seeing, it's sure to be a fun, somewhat intimate experience as it isn't such a large place. The acoustic is wonderful, I feel like there's not really a bad spot to see the band or the artist and they have a small lounge/bar right out of the actual concert area to hang out at prior to the show. The first time I came here was about 2.5 years ago to see a band I've been wanting to see for a while. It didn't disappoint. I was probably standing more toward the bar area to avoid the crowd but I could still see the performance well and hear them great! The restroom has several stalls so you don't have to wait in line as much and they keep it pretty clean. The entire place is fairly clean and organized. The staff are friendly and I don't really think I've experienced a bad show here. In fact, I have tickets to see Kruangbin in December and I can't wait! read more

The Pageant is such a classic venue in St. Louis. I have seen so many great artists there and you always feel like you're up close and personal with them in such a small venue. Nelly and Lizzo are a couple of my favorites I got a chance the enjoy there. Most recently we were able to enjoy El Monstero for the holidays and they did not disappoint! The only downside to the Pageant is there aren't many seating options and some standing room spots around the venue are too far away from the railing for short people like me to see. I went to the Giveon concert w/ a friend. There were multiple doors for entrance. Even though there was a line it moved rather quickly. There was a bar on both the first and second floors. The bartender remembered our drink which is always impressive. We opted to buy tickets on the second floor because it guaranteed we would have a seat. For this specific concert the first floor was general admission/ standing room only. The only thing I didn't care for was the female worker who didn't ask to help us find our seats but once we found our seats asked to see our tickets because she thought we were in the wrong seats. After explaining someone from across the room had already helped and we knew these were our seats. She mentioned she does this to everyone however after asking the people sitting a few seats down they said she didn't ask them anything. Just sucks to OVER verify something we paid over $100 for "the good seats" it's offensive for someone to act as if we don't belong there. My advice would be to have the ushers stand at the top of each stairway to ask if they can help people find their seats versus picking people out that are already seated and questioning whether they should be there. read more
