I found The Owl Cove via YELP and the reviews looked great so I gave it a go and booked online. I should preface this with saying my hair is a frizzy hot mess. Some pregnant women get great hair but I was not one of those people. I booked with Sara who bleached it out and it looks amazing! My roots were horrendous and my hair was like 82645 different colors. She managed to get it all the same shade of bright platinum blonde. The salon itself is adorable - the theme/style is so cute! This was my first time at The Owl Cove. I went here looking for a balayage/color melt process. Boy, did this place NOT disappoint!! Stopped in one day and had an appointment at the end of the week. I was quoted a solid price that didn't change at the time of service. Diana took wonderful care of my hair and styled with loose curls that did not frizz the next day after brushing. I had a facial with Alyssa last week and it was (I'm not exaggerating here) life-changing. I've had about a dozen facials in my life and this was by far the best. In addition to the expected aspects of a facial; the moisturizing, the exfoliation, the extractions; Alyssa gave me a face and neck massage that was beyond words. All the other facials I've ever had focused on my skin, but Alyssa went beyond that... I know this sounds weird, but her fingers digging into my face and neck was exactly what I needed. Had my hair done by Diana before at her previous employment and loved her new place . She worked hard to accommodate my hair which is very resistant to accepting color and she had to pull out all the tricks of the trade . Unfortunately when the product they use I guess changed their formulation - it caused intense burning and itching of my scalp -realizing this was likely an allergic kind of reaction for me I stopped patronizing this salon but nevertheless would definitely recommend them for others who wouldn't have that issue . read more

I started going to Alexis in November and she's the first stylist to understand my hair off the bat! You know how sometimes you go to a new stylist and there's a "break in" period where y'all have to get to know each other and your hair is *almost exactly what you wanted but you need a few more visits for your stylist to "get" you? This didn't happen with Alexis! She nailed it on the first shot. I had previous breakage in the back and she was very honest about how much we'd need to cut to make my hair even and we compromised how much should go. On my last visit, we brought the length up completely and now the back of my head looks perfect :) I generally go for pastel colors or platinum hair, which I know requires so much hard work on the stylist. Alexis takes her time and is very careful to keep my sensitive fine hair healthy and in tact! I think her shampoo scalp massage might also be the best I've ever had! I highly recommend Alexis and Diana who owns the shop is a true gem, too! Wonderful, caring people all around AND plenty of free parking around! read more

I was so happy to see The Owl Cove open a few months ago! Diana is as good as it gets. She has been cutting my hair (as well as my husband's) for years. She always understands my quirky requests for side swept bangs and is also amazing with color - she gave me beautiful blond highlights that still look good almost a year later. I have long hair, and she does an awesome job of tapering my ends, cutting in shapely layers. I don't live here, but I travel here frequently for work and when I needed a haircut, a friend recommended The Owl Cove. I like it here so much that I have been trying to wait until I'm in town on business to get my haircut, but the timing doesn't always work out. My wife was just in town for an event and had her hair, makeup and brows done. We were both very pleased. Great people, great atmosphere and it is obvious that the staff really enjoys working here. HORRIBLE experience with DIANA! Went in for a routine color and walked out with orange hair. What's even worse is Diana said well it happens sometimes it will grow out and charged me $245 as I stood there crying. The entire time I was there they talked trash about the previous client. Very unprofessional. Updated 1/6/16 Thank you for reaching out Diana and Owl cove team. I wrote this review bc I truly had a bad experience. I completely understand everyone has a off day and mistakes happen and had you just said "hey I'm sorry that's not the color we were going for let's fix it" there would have been no problem instead my feelings were disregarded. Since I wrote this review I have received several nasty and hateful messages stating they were friends with you Diana one which was calling me loser and calling me ugly. I did not know that name calling and being mean girls were the vision of this new salon. I went into The Owl Cove and was filled with a warm, comfortable feeling. The interior is stunning yet makes you feel right at home, with ease. My hair was in desperate need for an update. I had raggedy ends and very unmaintained color. Alexis listened and was patient as I wasn't even sure what I wanted to do with my hair. She suggested a couple of different of options and made sure I was on board before we began. She painted my hair with seamless perfection. She turned my uninspiring brunette hair into a rich, velvety crimson. The shampoo was incredible and so relaxing. The salon carries Evo hair products which are top tier and always make my hair feel amazing. Alexis cut all of my dead ends and off and shaped my hair into a flattering, shoulder-length bob with soft layers. She then polished everything with a soft, wavy blowout.
