I had such a mixed review of this place. I went here for the second time a few weeks ago and wanted my long curly hair cut to my shoulders. The hair stylist I had was super friendly and energetic but cut it way too short, almost to my collarbone. I wish he would have checked with me on the length before he actually started cutting. My hair grows fast, so I'm not too concerned but I feel like I'm in this weird waiting phase of having my hair grow out more. This is NOT a review for Mr Perry , just my experiences from other hairstylists, I'm looking for a new someone to visit. I have like an aloepicia on my middle crown , sides and back looking like it's trying to grow back very very slowly, history if bad perms braids , pony tails, I just been cutting ok if my hair on and off just to try to grow it back, wasting money buying so many promising results. Paying hairstyles I wanted and didn't get instead of telling me you can do the style and when you're done it's not the style you ask for. Just tell me upfront you can't do it, I just want a simple easy managing short style or visit a barber or beautician that can help me out. I sweat in wigs and want something That the hair doesn't irritate behind my ears or too heavy on my hair and not over my eyebrows. I like free space. I see beautiful pics ThatsI would like but could never get the right person to do it or understand, I rather prefer my own hair to be worked on to my liking. Salon is very nice, but overly priced and I was disappointed with the way my daughters hair turned out. A young lady that's supposed to be a specialist with curly hair quotes a price of 55$ then when she said it needed to be trimmed the price went to $100 and my child's hair looked like they washed it, used the blow dryer for a second and sent her on her way. By the time she got home her hair looked like she stuck her finger in a socket and it was hard and stiff. She went to school the next morning in the same ponytail she always has. I remember Michael when he used to be on ferry Street. He had an awesome service and he still has an awesome service. The staff is nice. The place is beautiful and the money is worth it. Today was my first time going to Michael Perry's hair studio and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. It's been awhile since I've been to a hair stylist (mostly due to me trying to be safe from Covid-19). I needed a trim with a wash and style, so I made an appointment here after someone recommended it to me. Robyn did a fantastic job! I was very impressed. I definitely recommend going to her! She took her time and was very gentle with my hair. I have never been to a hair stylist that was so gentle with my hair. While blow drying, she was careful and didn't yank my hair at all. But she still managed to get it bone straight. It shows that she really cares about hair. Most hair stylist are concerned with just getting the hair straight and will pull and yank it which often results in breakage. But she was very gentle and the hair looked as good if not better than hair stylist that are rough when straightening. She also did a great job with trimming since I had an undercut done previously. She did a really good job with the Bob. Also very pleasant and friendly. The receptionist was pleasant as well. Beautiful salon, very clean and decorated nicely. I highly recommend coming here. My husband and I received a gift certificate for a mani-pedi here and decided to go check it out. Although there was a small hiccup, we were very pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is very cute and quaint. The salon is located in what appears to be an old townhouse or something similar, so all of the treatments take place in small rooms with a layout like someone's home. This really adds to the experience! We were taken into a relaxation room before our appointment to relax and fill out some paperwork. After sitting for about 5-10 minutes, a staff member came to tell us that there was a little mix-up and that one of the nail technicians was running late. They were so incredibly apologetic (which was very nice). We really didn't mind as we were not in a rush and were really there to relax. Before long we were taken into the room for our pedicures & manicures. The technicians were very nice and again apologetic for the small delay. They also brought a glass of wine for us each to enjoy during our treatment. We both really enjoy our mani-pedis. When we were leaving, Michael himself came over and gave us a gift certificate for a free 30-minute couples massage and apologized for the delay. We were quite taken aback considering it really wasn't much of a delay, nor were we all that upset, but it was truly nice to know that they cared about us. It is this attention to detail that makes customers return, and we will definitely be coming back! read more

I recently booked an appointment with Heather for a haircut with a Brazlilian end treatment. She did such an excellent job and she knows her trade. She was able to explain the science behind some of the life long issues I've had with buildup and general care and I've seen immediate results with the tips she provided. He dyed my hair and it actually had a green tint to it! I will never forget it! I had to catch a plane in am so I didn't go back! When my girlfriend picked me up at the airport 1st thing she said is your hair is GREEN !!! She has been doing hair for 30 years! He also charges way to much for services one of my bills walking out the door was $500.00 ! The place was to much drama for me! I have been to great salons this wasn't one of them! read more

I took a leap of faith coming to this salon, and it paid off! I was a little nervous at first because it is a lot smaller than the salons I am accustomed, but I love the environment. The staff is super friendly and entertaining, also my stylist Alexis is so incredibly talented. I visited at first for a cut and a simple blow out and I left so happy that I switched and I made her my normal stylist; how she even has room on her book is beyond me though. Alexis is so amazing at what she does. she truly takes time to make sure she is going to give you exactly what you WANT. I have gone to Michael Perry's for many years now! I picked them off the internet because I just could not find a hair stylist and was bouncing from salon to salon. During my first visit there, I watched Michael listen to each customers needs. I saw him transform a women with dry multi color hair to a stylish hip hair style that both she and her boyfriend loved! I told Michael that I wanted to grow my hair out longer. He gave me fabulous hair cuts each time while we grew out my heir. I finally got the look I wanted. Michael has since worked with me on perms, hair color and a variety of styles. For about 9 months, I worked in Indianapolis and I traveled back to Bethlehem for Michael to cut, color and style my hair. I booked back to back appointments with Courtney, an esthetician. I really enjoyed the experience and the results. I tried brow and lash tinting for a bolder look. Her taste and judgment was spot on and resulted in a natural look - incredible definition in my brows and lashes. I am easily frustrated by hair stylists who cut hair how "they" want to, not what is asked. At my previous salon, I went to get my colored as a touchup and she got the dye wrong. Went back to get it fixed and she got it wrong... AGAIN. When to Michael Perry to get it all fixed and get a straight black color for a complete change. I was paired with Jordan and I have fallen in love. She is amazing and I trust no other with my hair. Michael Perry himself has always been in the salon when I visit and he is an absolute delight to be around. If I was more girly I would try their other services, maybe one day. I recommend this salon, and Jordan, every chance I can. Unfortunately it takes a few bad experiences to really value quality, and I'm very happy I have finally found it. read more

Excellent. I received a facial service from Angela and it was wonderful. She was so knowledgeable and gave me valuable information on skincare. It was my first time receiving a facial at Michael Perry's and it was probably the best facial I've ever had. I and my wedding party had a great experience at Michael Perry Hair Studio. They were wonderfully accommodating to my needs being an out-of-state bride and they had reasonable prices. All off my girls had their hair done and some had their make-up done (I had both) and we all were very happy with our results. No one wanted to change anything once we left, which had been an issue we all had experienced in the past.
