I don't know why this salon has only 3 stars. After decades of different stylists, I'd say Andrea is the best of the best. She is a talented stylist, and she will give you what you would like, although she makes great suggestions. People complain about the costs. For crying out loud, if you go, ASK about any service you're offered. If it's too costly, don't get it. Don't meekly accept it and then complain about it later. Stylist added additional services that I never would have approved if I had known about. The stylist was not transparent, very sneaky at checkout time, and took a long time (3.5 hours) ugh. From start to finish, the staff at A-List will make you feel welcomed and so, so relaxed. The owner, Andrea, was able to accommodate me for a last minute appointment. I had a gloss, bond treatment, and much needed cut focused on getting my dead ends off. Robert took care of my gloss and haircut. He double and triple checked that I was comfortable with each step of the process, which was very appreciated. Andrea handled my shampoo and treatment. They don't rush you out of the wash. They take their time, make sure you are relaxed, and massage your scalp and head. It felt sooo good. I am very pleased with the results of my appointment. They over charge you here! The prices are monstrous and they take advantage of young clients. Ask price before getting hair done and maybe get it in writing!! Or just don't bother coming here because you'll be over charged for a job that would cost half somewhere else. read more

Been trying to find a decent place for a hair cut in the valley. Decided to look on yelp this morning and a list came up. Although their prices on the mobile website were tough to read I liked what I saw. When I arrived I was instantly greeted with a warm smile. I don't recommend this place whatsoever. I went in and got my hair stripped and lightned and it cost me $380 which was a little too much but okay because it took about 8hours but when I went back to get my hair finished I asked how much it would cost to lighten one more and add color she told me $175. during then dying process she told me it was going to cost A LITTLE BIT more but at the end she charged me $500. She totally took advantage of me. Unfortunately I paid because the work was already done. They made me feel so little and disrespected when they told me one price and charged me 3TIMES MORE. I have been to Andrea (owner) several times for a cut and blow-dry. Nicely done each time. I like that I can typically get an appointment on short notice. (I can often be flexible and get there during lunch or after work.) I've got a mid-length cut, no color. The decor is not fancy so don't expect an indulgent waiting area, hence no 5th star -- but that isn't what they are trying to be. They are a bit cheaper than other places in the area for a woman's cut. And the place is very clean and the staff are nice. A mix of local and Lehigh customers. read more

Worst salon in the Lehigh valley!!! Way to expensive. The color cut and highlights were over 300. And I might add that I was not even happy with how it turned out!! The owner Andrea tried to sell me the products that she used on me and when I said no she got an attitude with me. They took advantage of someone who has no family here and saw it as an opportunity to scam someone who was vulnerable to make more money. They have no work ethic whatsoever. Interesting re two of the reviews -- on is a stylist there and the other the owner. I've gone there several times and never seem to quite get what I am asking for.... seems they cut the way "they" want. It was the same with the color... I got exactly the shade range I didn't want. I've tried to give them a chance several times, but have never really left happy/satisfied. A bit overpriced IMO. They are very nice and the salon is clean. (music a bit too loud at times...JMO, though. read more

Being a Lehigh student in Bethlehem for 4 years I had always gone to Eskandalo to get my haircuts. I tried out A-list for the first time yesterday and had an awesome experience. Besides getting a great men's cut and wash, I had a good time while in the salon. Good music, really nice employees, and a very personable experience.
