I was in Bethlehem recently for a wedding and the hotel recommended Clementine salon to me. I wanted to get my hair curled for the wedding and I was able to make an appt. for Sunday afternoon for a curl set a couple weeks in advance. The salon was a quick, easy walk from the historic Bethlehem hotel where I stayed. The salon was very clean and bright inside. Only one stylist was working that day and I was the last appt. at 1 pm for the day. Jen was very friendly and did a nice job curling my hair for the event. It cost $45 and I was very happy with how it looked. The curls held all night (and I even left them for a couple days after). I would definitely recommend Clementine salon if you are in town and need a blowout or curls done for an event. read more

I've come here a few times for eyebrow waxing. I like the facility and the aesthetician a lot! But unfortunately I've had a lot of redness and later, breakouts, from the wax here, which I've never had anywhere else. It has happened each time I visited, so unfortunately am now looking for another spot. If you don't have sensitive skin, though, this might be a great option for you! read more

Okay, I walked into my appointment ready with a big project. I sat down in the chair and told Liz my plans to go from a dark brown (pic 1) to platinum blonde (pic 2). And oh. my. goodness. did she deliver. It was a long process but Liz gave me the blonde hair I have wanted for the longest time! My husband and two sons went here. The haircuts were ok, but they didn't clean up the necks or around the ears well. One neck was very crooked, the other didn't look like it was even done. Really disappointed considering it was $140 for these 3 haircuts. We won't be back here for men's or boy's cuts in the future. read more

Best hair salon experience I've had in a long time. The shop is small and intimate and everyone is very friendly. Lots of returning clients came in. Great products, and they stick to appointment times which is a big plus. It was my first time there, so Adele, The owner who was my stylist for the day, took time to get to know me. Did I come in with some ideas on what I wanted, was I comfortable using hair products, and how much time did I have/want to spend on styling my hair. I got a facial by Danielle and it was wonderful! Besides great smelling products, she uses aromatherapy and cues you to breath deeply which really helped to remind me to relax and enjoy the experience. It reminded me of a yoga class. A week later, my skin is still looking better than before! And Allison cuts my long hair and waxes my eyebrows perfectly (so that they look natural). I love all the people here!! read more

Really friendly nice stylists in a cute salon. Allison is truly and fantastic person. When I woke up this morning and saw my hair in natural light, it was very clear that the highlights were not what I asked for. I specifically asked for sandy or champagne colored highlights. I showed three pictures to Allison, but now my hair is clearly a medium/dark orangey blond. The cut is another issue: I had long layers and now I still have layers, but the top layer is dense and hangs like a long bowl cut....wouldn't let them fix it if they paid me. read more

She did such a masterful job at blending my purple ombre hair, that I get compliments every day from strangers. She also cuts my husband's hair, and does a great job of that. Wow... I feel like I just stepped out of a Salon at Walmart. I'm absolutely mortified! I got home and my husband said, OMG... WTF. When I looked in the mirror I had to clean globs of dye out of my ears and off of my neck. Been going here, every four weeks for a color and cut, for the past year and a half, but, my stylists keep leaving. At my previous appointment, Haley, who was wonderful, advised me that she was also leaving. So, I booked my next appointment with Allison. To my surprise, my appointment was switched to a new girl, without anyone even notifying me. That's just not right. When I arrived, I asked the new girl upfront if she was able to cut a slightly angled bob. She said, of course. Kaeleigh literally cut my hair in five minutes, like a bowl cut. I said, wow, I've never had my hair cut so fast. Adele, the owner, was stationed next to me and kept saying how awesome my hair looked. When I looked in the mirror, I almost had a heart attack. It was completely uneven all the way around, with long pieces of untouched hair, sticking out from underneath. The stylist spent another 10-15 minutes trying to fix it, dry, all while Adele kept saying it looks great. I wanted to scream, can someone who knows how to cut a bob, please fix this! I am all for positive reinforcement, but, not at my expense. I am absolutely speechless. I would never write a bad review with out proof or merit, so I've attached a picture of the end result, after the "fix". You be the judge. read more

I go and see Devon, but every time I enter the salon, the staff always greets me and treats me as if I was their client in that moment. I just moved to Bethlehem from the south, and I had read great reviews about Clementine and decided to try it out. Everyone in the salon was very friendly, and I felt like I had been coming here for years. They also use great, high quality products and made some good recommendations for me considering my hair was suffering from the harsh dry winter air. I don't get my hair colored so I can't speak on that, but the cut was perfect, and I'm so glad I found this place! I'll be a customer as long as I am in Bethlehem. read more

I go to Celementine Salon to get my eyebrows threaded and let me tell you it's a great place. Every single one of the girls are sweet and the owner is very nice, she always makes it a point to address returning clients by name. Everytime I walk in they offer parking coins and a drink and ask how I am doing. They accommodate all my appointments even the ones I make on the whim. The best part is the girl who does my eyebrow threading is named Haley and she is wonderful and sweet and always makes me feel great and pretty, and after I leave I always leave feeling like I left my friends house, happy and looking forward to my next visit. read more

Allison gave me highlights that were perfect -- exactly the shade I asked for and slowly, painstakingly painted into my very thick yet fine hair. Bethlehem has some salons that are awful experiences -- overpriced for what you get, or just straight up a disappointment. My Clementine's experience restored my faith in trying new salons!! Clementine's is the absolute best -- I disagree with previous reviews that consider it expensive. I had an a blast from the moment I walked in -- I was offered a drink (choice of alcoholic or non alcoholic -- yes, I'll take the wine thank you!) and warmly greeted in an eclectic and chicly decorated space where all the employees and clients were in a great mood and happily chattering away. Unfortunately I am moving away from Bethlehem at the end of the month... But I think I'm going to have to drive back to Bethlehem to visit the ladies at Clementine. read more

It is difficult for me to find someone who can style my hair because I like it medium length and easy to maintain. I ride and run and swim a lot and don't have time to blow dry and style. I wanted a "messy but still sexy" look :) So on my birthday (October 19) a Monday, I decided to once again try a new salon and hope for the best. Practically everything is closed on Mondays in Bethlehem. I called four places...all closed. My fifth call was to Clementine Salon. It was open and the woman on the phone (Carissa) asked if I could make it there in 10 minutes because she was in between appointments. I answered yes and the result was the best haircut I have received in over ten years. She was amazing! Really pretty. Genuinely nice. A real perfectionist. I had my hair highlighted here a few months ago, because looking at reviews I saw one of the girls loved working with long hair. I have pretty long hair and most stylists convince me to cut it, so I was excited about working with her. She did a nice job, but the highlights were a little too light for my taste. I have light brown hair and I asked for ash blonde highlights, and the highlights were very thin, in which I prefer them to be a little chunkier. However, the shop is ver y cute and everyone is friendly. I was offered a drink when I got in, and I love the set up of the shop. There's about 4 chairs, so it is very intimate. read more

Wonderful experience. I was in Bethlehem during the super-storm-Sandy and when i saw that this little gem of a salon had its lights on, I had to go in and get an appointment. That was a lucky choice because not only did I get a fantastic cut, colour, and style with Allison but I felt relaxed during a really stressful time. Seems to me that all the stylists are talented. The owner has a classic charm about her and that comes through in the service and the easy elegance at Clementine. Highly recommend. Oh, and Hayley gives the BEST shampoos on the planet. If you haven't made this your absolute go-to salon, it's time. I used to be a regular at sweet Clementine Salon until I relocated to Charleston SC (where ladies take their hair veeery seriously--in a good way). Last week I stopped in during my Bethlehem family holiday visit, and was totally wow'd by the level of care and skill at each stylist's station. Honestly, everyone had GREAT hair--whether in the chair or standing behind. I only wish they'd come down south now! Tip: Carissa just started at the salon so that means her book is open. She rocks!
