Full service salon....hair, nails and massage I believe the whole nine yards. My review is based on my experience in Sept. 2014 (I know I'm late) I saw Timmy when my then stylist royally messed up my hair before I was scheduled to go on vacation. When making the appointment the receptionist was very professional and accommodating. That's a plus! Can't speak about anyone else although the salon was full of workers those two were the only ones to address or even speak to me. STYLIST: Timmy appears to be very knowledgeable in what he was doing and how to execute. He was very professional, nice and funny but I was a bit disappointed as to how my color came out. It appeared perfect on the surface but as you parted the hair in different areas you could see where the color had seeped erroneously all over close to the scalp. There wasn't to much of a "just from the salon" finish my hair is really frizzy and needs extra heat and I didn't push for it so I almost immediately put hair in a bun. COST: it was relative I suppose. I didn't get what I wanted so I would say it was too much? Over all I probably won't go back. read more

I can't believe I've found a Diamond in the ruff. I had my hair cut by Kelli and had the Best Precision cut I've ever had. She took a look at the picture of how I wanted to wear my hair and let her magic begin. I love,love, love the result. It was more than I've ever spent for a haircut but well worth it. So I wasn't happy w my haircut, in the chair I said I wanted it shorter. Stylist didint hear me or something. So I left. Paid and tip. For a haircut I didn't like. I called to get it fixed she said vomd in at this time, I came back and showed her what I had wanted. She said that wasn't they original pic, I'll have to charge for a full cut 50$. I was like OK forget it. My cut gets paid for and the Stylist is like we want you to be happy. And she gave me what I wanted not knowing she got paid for a full cut!! Won't be Goin back. Love this salon! I went in as a (brassy mixed with platinum a true mess) blonde and I wanted to go dark. I had gone from light blonde and brassy to dark brown in the past at other salons and a week later my hair was a faded orange mess. Well, that definitely didn't happen at Trendz!! Kara is my stylist did an AMAZING job with the cut and color!! It's been almost 3 weeks and it still looks just as good as the day I got it done! They have the cutest full service salon in Hellertown! Everyone in there is so sweet and they all love what they do. I am very picky when it comes to trying new salons but this place is hands down top notch!! read more

I love that they offer OPI GelColor for my nails and Nufree Finipil hair remover for all of my waxing needs! I've had nothing but great experiences here over the decade. I've been coming here for well over a year now and found my salon. Jenny does a great job coloring, cutting and styling my hair. She is very knowledgeable in what types of medications can mess up your hair, what you have to do to get your hair on the right track to being healthy again. She also does a wonderful job with pedicures and manicures. She is my go-to girl!! Love the salon and everyone there is very very nice. It's also reasonably priced and they do groupon deals as well! read more

Smokers paradise! Upon arrival I was surprised to find several employees perched right out front smoking like I was about to enter a bar. What respectable business would allow this anymore? Inside the atmosphere and the service... far from special. Next time, I'll take my services somewhere first and last impressions matter. I scheduled a bridal hair/makeup appointment for myself and my 5 bridesmaids without knowing anything about them except their location and other yelp reviews and it could not have gone better. I didn't have a hair trial because I'm not longer in the area, but Christine did an awesome job just going off of pictures I liked. She also did 2 other girls' hair and everyone was pleased. Kelli did the other 3 girls and she did an amazing job, again just going off of pictures they liked. Timmy helped out as well and all of the staff was very nice and helpful. Shawnnah did makeup for 4 of us and did a beautiful job. They got all of us done ahead of schedule, which really helped me to not stress. The part that really blew me away was that it started to rain just before we were ready to leave so they gave all of us shower caps (not glamorous, but not the point) and Shawnnah gave us 2 umbrellas she had in her car. The staff was spectacular in service and style and all of the girls agreed they needed a good yelp review. read more

I went to this salon due to the great reviews. Well recently, I was told I couldn't get a perm by Trendz Salon hair stylist Beth, because I am a blonde. I have been blonde my whole life! I have had plenty of perms in my life and this is first time I was told by a hair stylist, that they refused to do the perm because of being blonde. When I said I didn't understand, I was told because I had previously colored my hair a few times in past years that the perm would destroy my hair. I told them there has been many times in my years, that I colored or highlighted my hair then month or 2 later I got a perm and it was just fine. The hairstylist Beth, and the manager kept insisting that they can't perm a blonde person and especially one that has colored her hair. The next excuse was because my hair is long, that they would cut a lot off before they would even consider doing the perm. Needless to say, this is the worst customer service I have ever had at a hair salon. The 2 woman were very snobby while trying to act like they were polite. And Beth is a person who colors her hair blonde!!! I do not recommend Trendz Salon to anyone. Go someplace else!!! They are snobby and rude and make excuses to not have to work. Trendz Salon must only want to do over priced hair cuts and that is it. Save your money ladies and never go to Trendz Salon in Allentown. read more
