Everything about the place is amazing, service, Menu, food, ambience and location. Definitely good we made reservations! They were busy from 5pm! We were seated right away, and I loved our table and who they weren't so close to other tables. They have a nice seasonal cocktail menu, great wine and beer list too. I went with a glass of Cabernet and my friend had beer. Our server was very sweet and allowed us to catch up on conversation and we finally figured out what we wanted to order! They have everything from steaks, seafood to some veggie apps, and salads. They also have specials which the server told us about.I had the blackened Mahi and my friend had one of the specials which was the shrimp and chorizo gumbo. They offer a nice bread service for the table which was nice and warm when it came. Always good bread and butter. Our entrees were excellent, Mahi was cooked perfectly, with a nice black bean, hominy and chorizo base, with ranchero sauce. Really good. My friend loved her gumbo, which looked amazing. She said the sauce was delicious, there was also a generous amount of shrimp and chorizo. Entrees were amazing, so we thought why not check out the desserts, great dessert menu, so I went with the lemon tart, and she had the peach strudel. Both, you guessed it ! Fantastic. Citrusy smooth tart, with a buttery crust and a lovely coconut macaroon on the side. The peach strudel came with a cherry ice cream, toasted almonds and a cherry coulis. We also got sone espresso martinis, because why not. I asked for mine with less simple and it was perfect. This was one of the best meals I've had in Greensboro, kinda under the radar as you don't always hear about this place. Obviously people know about it though as it was packed. Great dinner and fabulous service. Can't wait for another show which will bring me back here. I'd been here along time ago, then remembered it when we needed a pre theater spot. The interior decorator(s) clearly had taste. The artwork is pretty and the windows add to the light and airy feeling. Now let's talk food! The food is bespoke. I had to google a few words (which I loved) to make sure I knew what I was getting. The Fried Cauliflower had a touch of spice, and frankly you would have no idea you were eating cauliflower if it wasn't in the name. Pimento Cheese Galette...what's the word...hmmm....divine! Spinach Salad felt like a summer evening on the patio - strawberries, feta, sunflower seed - wonderful! Artisan cheese Selection - it's cheese, what's not to love!?! The flatbread is 'hand-rolled' in house - babeeee! Seared Sea Scallops for the sea lovers. The real blessing was Savannah and Courtney. They took care of us and were a pure delight as well as helpful.

They had counter service this morning, where you order at the counter. Since it was my first visit, the young man could probably tell I was new--he greeted me right away and explained how everything worked. The space was clean, and it faces the rising sun. I'd already picked out the perfect seat to let that morning sunshine shine right in. The lemon ricotta pancakes had been calling my name for a while. The young woman at the counter let me know they're soft because of the ricotta. I appreciated the heads-up, since the texture is different from a regular pancake and someone might otherwise think they weren't fully cooked. They were absolutely out-of-this-world amazing! I ordered the three pancakes and only afterward noticed that you can order them individually. Three was definitely too many for me--I made it through two and was stuffed, so I left one lonely pancake behind. I also ordered a side of bacon to add some protein. They also have the cutest little French market inside, with a whole freezer full of items you can take home and bake yourself. And they just introduced some new menu items today, which will be around for the next couple of months: pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes, braised short ribs, beignets, and a savory Dutch baby. If you're ever downtown, stop by and give this place a try! Ciao for now!

All were excellent; fresh, perfectly cooked and full of authentic flavor. The tart was exceptionally good: a tall slice, moist and rich, onions sweet and delicious. For mains, two of us had the almandine, both loved it. Ali's right off the skin, perfect cook, wonderful flavors. Husband had the pork chop, said the flavors were all on point, but the chop was just north of tender and the potatoes, cabbage and sauce could have been hotter. We went back for the perfect crème brûlée and decadent chocolate mousse we loved at brunch, and added the lemon tart: on par with the others. Service was excellent, again. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. Notably top shelf service for the area.

Lovely service team paired with an intimate, romantic dining area. Perfect for a date night or celebration! The hostess and our server were especially welcoming and super friendly. On to the food... Our cocktails were made just right, and our entrees were phenomenal to say the least. Not to mention that apple bread pudding. I did wish it was served warm, but it was still delicious and not the "over-the-top"-type of sweet. We also felt that the escargot was too earthy for our personal liking, but I can see it being someone's. Just not ours, and beggars can't be choosers. All in all, a lovely surprise at Vin Rouge. Next time, I'd love to try brunch and a seat in their beautiful patio!

They have probably the best French Onion soup (Gratinèe Soupe à l'Oignon) I have ever tasted, I loved that the bread maintained a slight crispness around the edges even though the soup was perfectly cooked and the bread absorbed it well. I had the Filet Mignon de Porc as my entree, and the pork was cooked just right, it was so tender and juicy, with a nice peppery crust and smoky (but not overwhelming) flavor. My wife had the Steak Frites, which was very tender and cooked perfectly. I would tell you about the dessert, but we were too full and satisfied to even try one. The atmosphere is nice, not maybe quite as private as some restaurants, but the ambient noise is light and feels more private than the layout would suggest. The lighting is dim but not so dark that you can't see just fine. All around it was perfect for our anniversary dinner. Peyton was our waitress, and I cannot say enough good things about the job she did! She was attentive and very warm and friendly, not sugary sweet in the way some people do that comes off as cloying or insincere, but rather conversational and pleasant. I don't know how much they pay Peyton, but it isn't enough. All around, the whole experience made for a delightful meal and experience! And our previous experience there was just as good, so I recommend it very highly!!

The broth so flavorful . Steaming hot on this one . The escargot. Yes another must here. Always decadent . Buttery and garlicky . Awesome. The mushroom risotto. Yes I know not french but they do it so well here. Rich and creamy and perfectly cooked where it's not mushy, different kinds of mushrooms and I love they add peas. Perfect comfort food. On my last visit to PRESS, I had the seasonal Blue Ridge crepe ($16.50), which was excellent -- a savory, blue-tinged shell filled with a great combination of sweet maple syrup-glazed ham and tangy granny smith apples and topped by a scrambled "hurricane-style" egg and a spicy maple mustard drizzle. YUM! The beverage menu at PRESS is equally impressive, featuring everything from made-to-order hot and cold coffees and tea-based beverages to a carefully curated cocktail list. I really enjoyed the soy maple pecan latte.

We were seated within 5 minutes and our server was attentive and nice. Cozy ambience with low romantic lighting. Great for a date. Love all the beautiful flowers in the outdoor garden near the entrance. Food was very tasty but also very rich and heavy. Portions are large so you may want to order a lunch portion if you're not bringing a huge appetite. My Chicken Parmagiano was delicious but 3 people could have split it (I wasn't super hungry). My partner's Alfredo (he added shrimp) was too oily for his taste, but it was good. We both felt sluggish and needed a nap after eating which is not our norm; we generally eat lighter dishes like salads. The pasta is all angel hair even though the menu says spaghetti. I expect multiple types of pasta at an Italian restaurant. So that's disappointing.

They clearly indicate on the menu what is gluten free and understand the safety around it. Service was okay. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the best either. We haven't been back yet but we plan on coming once or twice a year to try out the seasonal menus as well as more teas and dip's du jour.
