Been here twice now and each time was amazing. Unique specials that change often and great regular menu with nice variety. Staff is friendly and attentive and overall a cute cozy place.

The Other Fish is a hidden gem near Main Street in Bethlehem. We have dined in and had takeout from here many times and are always so happy with the service, ambiance, and everything they offer. Today, we started with the spicy seafood soup, inari with spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, and the black truffle tuna appetizer, which were all delicious. We also ordered 4 sushi rolls - spicy lover, snow goose, tracy, and tipper. All were fantastic and left us wanting more!

This is it. This is the one. This is the best sushi place in the Lehigh Valley HANDS DOWN. My boyfriend and I love coming here. The atmosphere is immaculate, the staff is hospitable, and the rolls are works of art. The ingredients are so fresh and you definitely get your moneys worth. You have our unwavering patronage as long as your doors are open.

how absolutely delicious!!! came here with my dad and a friend and we were absolutely amazed at how tasty and fresh everything was. the miso soup, seaweed salad, and all the variations of sushi we got was amazing. customer service was excellent; highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar. the owner was the one preparing the sushi, and they're incredibly friendly & make great suggestions (and are also very accommodating and said that if we didn't want anything or wanted substitutions). ambience was great, great for chatting, and great music playing, too! such amazing sushi here, my friend who'd lived in okinawa was amazed, and i live in new york, and i can say this is one of the best sushi places. i also found the prices pretty reasonable for a table of 4. cash or venmo payments only so come prepared! will definitely be returning next time im in the area!

Staff is really friendly and inviting. Yuri is the MANNNNN ! We got complimentary Thai iced tea since it was a promotion they had, to unleash their new special. Definitely try it! It is super clever and delicious. The dinner environment is awesome and quiet. Had dinner with my handsome fiancé (my hand hurts cause of my diamond). Food is delicious and honestly come here with a friend or alone, you defiantly deserve to TREAT YOSELF ! It's BYOB and great energy . Wings are awesome

The Other Fish is *so good*. It's a small business in a small restaurant run by the best staff. Yuri is great, and the man who makes the sushi (sorry, not on a first name basis with him) is so talented! Everything is made with such care and the ingredients are always fresh. "The Other Fish" sushi roll is the best I've had, though the Blue Crab, the Natalie, and the Dragon roll are all great too. If you're in the area, absolutely make a reservation for this place!

First and foremost I do want to thank the bearded gentleman at The Other Fish for giving me a full refund on my order BUT this was my experience: Sushi is something that I eat on the regular. I live and work in NYC and I know what good quality sushi looks and tastes like. I also know when a restaurant is bs-ing me. I placed an order for 3 people, through grubhub, at 8:45pm. According to the grubhub app, it would take 90-100 minutes to prepare the order. At 9:31pm I called the establishment to ask them when my order would be done, since I am on the same block as the restaurant. They did not seem to know I had placed an order and told me 9:50pm would be the best time for pickup. I arrived at the restaurant at exactly 9:50pm and was given my order with no problem but I noticed the bag was a bit small for the order we placed. Come to find out we were missing 3 rolls and immediately headed back to the restaurant. We told them about the missing roll and told us they couldn't make us more because the cook just threw out the rice. They suggested refunding me for the rolls we were missing but instead a kind, bearded gentleman said they would refund our whole order. My sister and friend were able to have dinner but I was not able to because the rolls that were missing were avocado rolls (I do not consume animal products). Upon inspection, the rolls looked like they were rushed, as they were falling apart when being consumed and not wrapped tightly. My thoughts on The Other Fish: 1. Your prices are ridiculous! I work on the Upper West Side in NYC and can get avocado rolls for $3.50 instead of your $6.00 for some crappy loose, rushed rolls. The most expensive avocado rolls I've had are $5.50 from one of the best Sushi restaurants in NYC and they have the right to charge that because of their presentation, taste, and overall experience. 2. Your preparation time is also ridiculous! On the Upper West Side, I can order 4 avocado rolls, 1 eel avocado roll, 2 California rolls and an order of gyoza that will arrive to me in 30-40 minutes, being delivered to me from only 5 blocks away. You guys can't even get it together with me picking up the order and staying literally next door to the restaurant. Today you produced 5 rolls of my order in an hour, meaning it took you about 12 minutes to create each of those crappy rolls. Get out of here with that 90-100 minute prep time! 3. Your presentation sucks. Styrofoam takeout containers for sushi? Really? Also, your ratio of rice to filling is way off. There is too much rice and it needs to be balanced. Overall experience: Very disappointed. My best friend actually recommended this place and thought I'd love it because of my love for sushi. Don't think I will ever order from here again.

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but if your near the intersection of North & New Street in the thriving, historic, colonial Bethlehem NoBo arts district, you'll stumble upon a gem known as the other fish. Top spot in Bethlehem's Little Tokyo district for sushi, Japanese miso soup , & fresh sides & wasabis.

Also, with these places, you are expected not to waste food so you should consume the rice portion as well. Fair enough and totally understandable. When I called, I was glad to hear that they would allow for members in your party to order à la carte as long as the folks partaking in AYCE do not share. That is a very good way of appeasing the entire party. Walking in, I saw a sign that says BYOB. Another plus but unfortunately I didn't bring any drinks. After my wife looked at the menu, she too opted for AYCE because getting an entree isn't that far off price wise. This is a Chinese owned establishment but nonetheless, the sushi selections are amazing and different. The wait service is prompt and always ready to take your order, and the AYCE came with unlimited soft drink per guest. We ordered a few appetizers and I will say I really enjoyed the spicy edamame as it has a very nice garlicy taste to it. A letdown was the lo mein as I felt it was too garlicy for some reason while my wife felt it was a bit bland. For the sushi selection, they have single sushi pieces, rolls which come in 6 pieces, and special rolls which come in 8. They also have some cooked Asian fusion dishes like General Tso chicken as an example. One advice is they do give a lot of rice in the sushi so when you place your first order, go easy as that will allow you to gauge your speed for the rest of the meal. Throughout the whole time, we were never rushed and didn't have to wait super long to get our order. All in all, very good place for what it offers and will give 4 stars overall.

We were going to a place nearby that serves 6-8 different types of cuisine that I didn't want to roll the dice with on a Saturday night. We had to park behind and walk by Steak and Steele to get there and she smelt steak and wondered where it was coming from? That was my opportunity to point out the Japanese style steak place! So we rolled the dice.... We sat at a traditional window table by the bar and were seated quickly. I wanted to do the teppanyaki table but she didn't want to deal with other folks etc on a busy night. The server was so nice and very down to earth. Fairly quick service overall. She had no clue about the ins and outs of this cuisine but she knew the menu well. I had fun talking with her and explained a few reasons for my questions about this type of dining that I know very well and she seemed to enjoy learning. Another server next to us seemed very much the same way and they worked well together with service. My wife ordered a really good Yuzu and I got a Sapporo draft. She loved that yuzu but to me it was kind of too sweet and I love sugary drinks. But I'd highly recommend looking at the bottle and finding one. $15 but this product category is not cheap. I prefer Kirin over Sapporo but it was good. We ordered steak and shrimp and steak and prawns, along with a spicy tuna roll extra spicy. The roll was Meh at best and not even really spicy at all but still tasty I guess and just above grocery store sushi grade. The food platter we got was F enourmous! Wow I just didn't know how to even imagine it when it showed up. We both opted for half noodles and half rice and the pile of these was immense. But it was about as good as say Panda Express or maybe slightly better however a huge volume. Protein was pretty generous and was seasoned pretty well and cooked at a good temp. The onion soup was mild but nice touch. Salad basic but fresh. I'd eat here again if ever in town again. The bar looked nice with four tv screens across from a group of stools in a line. Probably good for a drink and snack. But it just doesn't wow me other than really appreciating the great staff, value for the money, and an alternative to a dinner elsewhere I didn't care to try.

She got their chicken teriyaki and it was obvious that this was better and fresher than any version of the dish she had. My girlfriend loved it. The chicken was tender and the vegetables were crisp. The odd thing: My miso soup had way too much sodium but my girlfriend's was perfect. I'm not sure how that could even happen. The servers were kind and helpful, but they seemed to be a bit overworked and didn't check in as expected. The atmosphere can be improved. The restaurant decorated with some Japanese-style art and busy for a Saturday Night. While Takumi has a wide variety of sushi, they also offer habachi dishes. I tried the habachi vegetables, and they were good. I also enjoyed an ice cream sundae for dessert. The portions I thought were fair for the prices of the product. The only thing that could have been better was the seating. If you don't get a booth, it can be hard to have a conversation, especially in a busy restaurant. The acoustics made it difficult to hear my and friend and I talk to each other. For a group, a table would have been ideal, but we weren't in a hurry, so asking for a booth or table might have been helpful. Overall, it's a great restaurant, and the food was enjoyable. The wait staff was clearly not happy about this, as they were a bit snippy in their interactions with us-- a bit disheartening, again, as there was still a whole hour before they were scheduled to shut. Thankfully, for them, our order was pretty simple. We both ordered a miso soup, house salad, and shared an avocado roll, and tempura plate. The avocado roll was perfect; ripe and thickly-cut avocado, not too much rice, and rolled tightly so it didn't fall apart. The miso soup and salad were good; they soup was a pinch bland, but nothing a few drops of soy sauce can't fix, and the dressing on the salad was delicious. The items in the tempura plate were fried in different kinds of batter-- given it came out pretty fast, it made me suspect different pre-packaged varieties, but it was a tasty and simple dish so I was unbothered. The next day, we ended up coming back before our flight for a quick lunch. Same treatment; Very nice host, curt wait staff-- Either they remembered us as the couple that kept them from leaving early the night before, or that's just how they are. We ordered the same thing, minus the tempura plate, and plus a yellowtail carpaccio. Everything we ordered previously was just as good as the night before. The carpaccio was good as well; Nothing to write home about, but the fish was fresh and the sauce was tasty. As this was the only restaurant we ate at during our brief stint in Allentown, I'm overall happy with our experience-- minus the demeanor of the employees. While I highly doubt I'll ever find myself in Allentown again, I would certainly dine there again if the opportunity presented itself.
