It's super vibey and intimate. It's perfect for a small group (2 to 4 people), but larger parties might have a harder time finding seating. We ordered five rolls total with a mix of classic, special, and sashimi, and everything was fresh and delicious. The Catalina Roll was our favorite. The interior does actually remind me of a couple of the small sushi places I've been to in Japan. I like it. Walked in early on a Saturday evening and they had reservations for every table so the only option was to sit at the sushi bar. This was a great sign! The main section had enough lighting, but the sushi bar was actually quite dark so I had to use my phone light to be able to read the menu. The hostess was a little abrupt when seating us, but the actual server was polite and efficient. The sushi and sashimi was high-quality and the gyudon was tasty. The side salads and miso soup were also good. It's a BYOB, which is always a plus. My rating would've been 4.5 which I would've rounded up to 5, however, when it came time to pay the bill, the hostess literally dropped the credit card sleeve next to me saying "here you go" as she walked off, chewing bubblegum and popping it. I have Celiac disease, so eating out can be difficult. I explained to the hostess I can't have gluten etc., she told me I could order anything on the menu aside from something with sauce/crunchy things on it. Brought out a tuna avocado roll, and a special roll - which contained imitation crab. I asked if this had wheat, she checked and it did. No offer to exchange the roll, I still did have to pay for it. I then got 2 more rolls to go - when I got home, they added regular soy sauce in my bag along with my rolls, and it spilled all over my order. Unfortunately I will not be going again. read more

Little gem in Nazareth! Recommended to us by our college roomie who lived in Japan for several years and knows her stuff. We popped in for impromptu dinner and were very pleased. We both ordered the house salad- honestly expecting ginger dressing, but it was served with a lightly sweet, creamy dressing that seemed Kewpie mayo-based. Unexpected, but refreshing. We shared an order of steamed shumai which were on point. My husband had a bao bun appetizer, the bun was perfectly soft and steamy and the sauce and scallion garnish just right (this I know because I got a bite!) We each ordered 2 rolls: Dragon Roll and California Heat for him, Catalina Roll and Wasabi Rainbow Roll for me. The fish was very fresh and beautifully presented. I especially loved the California Heat with addition of spicy tuna to top a Cali Roll and the Catalina Roll which had kani salad inside for super texture and crispy jalapeño slice on top. The description definitely matched the taste for all. We had the lobster melody, tropical inferno (hot but smooth), shaky dog, B-52 and the sweaty tuna. The presentation was above average and I'd definitely come back and try other things if we're in the area. I'm not a sushi person since I don't really like fish, but they have lots of other food that's not sushi, but the sushi my husband gets always looks beautiful and fresh and delicious. I've never had anything here that wasn't delicious and perfect. The gyozas are SO good and perfectly crispy on the bottom and the sauce that comes with them is amazing. The tempura is perfect! Karaage chicken is my favorite thing on the menu it's definitely a must try!! Sometimes they have a home made soy sauce ice cream that is mind blowing it's so perfect and delicious! Their homemade Japanese iced tea with rose and lychee is sooo refreshing I crave it when i'm not there! Also the sweet potato roll is so good I love that the sweet potato has crunchy tempura bits on it, it's the best!! 10000% recommend going to Hana sushi and trying some new things! Okay so as much as I like this restaurant, I have to say... my bf and I recently went there on a date for my bday. I ordered the veggie soy Yaki noodles with no mushrooms. My bf even specified, "please make sure there are absolutely no mushrooms. My gf is highly allergic." I took 1 bite of my leftovers yesterday & instantly spit it out. My throat started closing. I would like to specify that I don't feel as if it is the waitress fault. She's 1 person serving a lot of people. However, it kind of seemed as if the cook just tried to pick the mushrooms out & missed them.
