I have used other trainers in the past and this is by far the most progress I have seen out of my dog, Skippy. Before skippy was always pulling on her leash but now is starting to walk by my side. Kristen helped train my dogs. I have two dogs. One (Sansa) is a pitbull the other (Sadie) is half…read morepitbull. Both are very stubborn, but very smart. She was able to figure out a way to get through to them and help me learn how to manage two different personalities, ages (senior & an 8yr old) with one having limited abilities and the other running/jumping/hyper. Issue 1) walking them.. sadie the eight-year-old was very energetic and wanted to run or walk very fast. She tended to pull a lot. Sansa The senior, 12-year-old girl walked slowly and very close to me to where I would keep tripping over her so I needed her to learn space. Kristen admittedly said this was difficult to have two very differing dogs and one person walking both of them especially since I have physical limitations myself with struggling from fibromyalgia. She set up an appointment for us to go to A walking trail and worked with us on that, and additionally another issue Sadie was having. Issue 2) when I would take Sansa and Sadie for walks on the trails that were busy Sadie would often bark and spin in circles when a bike would ride past us. I wanted help with this behavior. Kristen was able to find a way to help subdue her reaction. Issue 3) One of the people we live with is very obnoxious and the dogs bark at him every time he enters the room. They don't do this with any other person. I asked her to come to my home to evaluate the situation. She nailed it right on the head what the problem was. She spoke with this person to give him insight into how his behavior was affecting the dogs. Her ability to get through to not only the dogs, but people as well is amazing! He actually heard her! He is a very difficult person to talk to so I was impressed! She also helped trained us to not reward them when they barked at him (which I didn't realize I was doing by letting them stay on the couch & petting them.) I thought I was calming them, but she pointed out it's rewarding what they're doing. So now I get them off the couch when they bark & treat them when they don't. This helped quite a bit. Not only is she knowledgeable but she is very upbeat and positive. She is very sweet and takes her time with you and the dogs. I highly recommend her and we would hire her again! I will never take my little girl here again…read more.. I made her appointment for 9:20 and I walk in and I was immediately concerned because it did not look like any other PetSmart groomers I've been to in the past. This place was cramped, the check in was in the same room as grooming and it was filthy. The staff were not friendly and just immediately put on their leash and took her back without letting her adjust or get to know who was even taking her. I have never been to a groomer that doesn't greet the dog and establish trust first. Then, she says it'll be 3-4 hours because they're busy so she will be in a kennel which just didn't sit well with me. At that point I already said we were never going back. At 1:30 I get a call (so it's been over 4 hours at this point). The groomer calls and says that our pup is half done. She didn't like the blow dryer (which I warned them about. She just becomes deadweight and tries to hide because she's scared). But because she didn't like the blow dryer, she said they put her back in the kennel and let her air dry in there. My poor baby!!!! Then she said she'll go on her lunch break and hopefully she'll be dryer then she can finish! She's finally done at 2:30. I pick her up and oh my god it is the most botched hair cut I have ever seen. Random long hairs all over, her tail wasn't even touched. And I'm sure she didn't get water the whole time there either because she drank almost 2L of water when she got home. Our pup shows her anxiety by becoming deadweight and doesn't like to be touched by people she hasn't established trust with. I am stunned that this is an acceptable standard for PetSmart. I will never bring my baby back here.

This PetSmart location has steadily declined in customer service over the years but this was the…read morefinal straw for me. Had a coupon for a discount on grooming and thought it would be a good way to check out the service so I could have a convenient backup established for when my usual groomer is booked up. From the moment I walked in with my golden retriever it was clear that although I had an appointment and there were only two other dogs there, the grumpy employees here didn't want to groom my dog. I was given attitude, and they made comments before I was even checked in with several reasons why the service might have to be cancelled. Seriously? There was really a bad vibe - like they had just argued amongst themselves before I walked in, and I should have just listened to my instinct and walked out. I unfortunately decided to go through with the service since I was already late for another appointment. An hour and 15 minutes later I was called to tell me that because my dog was drooling they wouldn't groom him and to come and get him NOW. I then found out he had been locked in a cage the moment I left without any part of the grooming process started at all. That is unacceptable stress to put on a pet. After being treated like this today, PetSmart just permanently lost a customer in me. It was a mistake coming here and one I will never repeat. I will drive out of my way to avoid this store and recommend you do the same if you care about your pets.

Walking her is a dream. Our old Eskie is dog aggressive and Rocket blocks for him when we encounter offleash dogs on our walks. We had never been trained to use an e-collar. It is a game changer. And, better yet, Desiree is commited to maintaining her relationship with the dogs she trains.
