We have been at it about two months and have made significant progress (with lots of room for more!) Don't forget that it is up to the dog owner to do the work--neither Don nor the dogs can bear any responsibility for the lack of progress when the only way to improve the dogs' behavior is to be consistent in demanding (and enforcing) what you want. But Don is very patient with the dogs and me, so I can try to emulate his techniques with the dogs daily, between sessions.

I have used other trainers in the past and this is by far the most progress I have seen out of my dog, Skippy. Before skippy was always pulling on her leash but now is starting to walk by my side. We have done about 3 classes so far and plan to do more! I can't wait to see how much further skippy can advance. Reminder you also have to put in the work. Before that, we enjoyed dog parks and meeting other dogs and their owners on our daily walks. She became aggressive during puberty. The Vet said let's wait to see what happens after the spay. Jade got more aggressive, not less. Desiree is a dog whisperer. When we met at our consultation, Desire walked into my backyard, and Jade snarled and bounded across toward her. I almost fainted watching my huge dog running toward her. Desiree did her trainer thing, and Jade completely relaxed. I watched Jade become putty in her hands within minutes, and I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. The training was detailed and extensive. My dog responds to me when I call her with a quiet "hey" when she starts to play with my cats or go towards the kitchen. She places in the house even when guests arrive, or someone rings the doorbell. Her PICA (eating non-food items) is almost completely gone. ( Jade is s/p a life-threatening bowel obstruction after eating a towel) She went to the dog park and played with a Golden until her energy was spent a few days ago. I can play with her off-leash and have confidence in my abilities to communicate with her. A couple of weeks after the training, Jade all of sudden began to be triggered by the satellite dishes and telephone polls on our walks. Well, you can imagine how difficult it became with aggressive barking and then refusal to move. I called Desiree, and she drove the 20 miles to my house immediately. She offered some recommendations, which I applied right away and I could see that the initial onslaught of fear dissipated over a couple of weeks. My dog has been....... unpredictable when it comes to meeting people and other dogs, and recently decided to eat our couch. This is on top of barking continuously at noises outside and jetting out the door when it's opened (she's been skunked twice because of this). She DOES hear me when I used to tell her to come, but instead of coming to me, she'd wag her tail and chase whatever's more important in the back bushes. After just ONE session with Jenn, we completely re-focused my dog's attention and have since addressed every one of our concerns AND have recently started scent-training, which has kept our doggo super mentally stimulated. My dog (Goliath) and I needed some serious training so I did not get dragged. Bill worked with us for 6 weeks (1 x per week) and he was truly amazing. He was firm and compassionate. Goliath had the utmost respect for Bill and did what he asked. Every week we met, Goliath became more of a pleasure than a puppy pain-in-the-a@##! I've had dogs forever and have worked with several trainers. By far, Bill is the most knowledgeable and effective trainer I've ever known. I am now confident in taking Goliath anywhere and having him remain obedient. I can take him on walks without using the claw collar - something I thought I'd never be able to do. As a first-time puppy owner, I wasn't sure what to expect or if puppies just naturally outgrow certain behavioral issues. When we go out in public, people always come up to see her because she's cute, but what they *constantly* comment on is how exceptionally well-behaved she is for an 8-month-old puppy. All because I called and told her to give me my money back. Just ridiculous. This woman is an ABUSER. Run for your life!!! Do not trust your pets to her! No way in HELL that I would trust my cats to this woman!
