My mother is downsizing after 25 years. I called and he was working so he called back. My mom is moving from a 3 level home into a 2 bedroom apartment. I told him everything and asked the rate and how to confirm the date; He informed me that he would be there with a few guys and the rate is $175/hour and we agreed and said he didn't need to come out and see anything. I asked if he could break down her bed and he "said I normally don't but I can do that". He didn't bring any tools to breakdown the bed and I had to borrow tools from a neighbors; he the states he would not be putting it back together. I got on task rabbit and hired someone to put it back together; no problem. I ensured he had my mother's number since I would be flying in that day and he had the starting location. 8/2 the day of the move he texted us he would be a few minutes late since he had to pick up his uhual truck so he showed up around 1023am and finished at 3:15 which would be 5 hours. He tried to charge us for 7 hours and my mom said you haven't been with us 7 hours; I stepped in since I was paying him then he said it would be 6 hours as my mother had some items that wouldn't fit into her new place and we asked if he would bring them back to her home which he agreed. But as soon as I sent the payment $1050 he flipped ; The sofa he agreed to bring back he refused to touch; he had 2 items still on the truck and he agreed to bring those items back but refused to bring the sofa as he had first agreed. We get to the original location and I called to let him know we were here. He arrives and he's aggressive, yelling and rude; he opens the truck door and starts dumping the items in the street; I asked if he could put it on the porch as he agreed and he refused stating " are yall going to pay me to put it on the porch" ! I started recording him putting the items in the street and only then did he startedplacing items on the porch. He started yelling " I already spoke to my lawyer so it's nothing" His brother was agreeable to placing the items on the porch but Darrell refused at first. He told us we were putting his business in jeopardy and " I have to feed my kids with this business" , " yall unprofessional and unorganized"; we aren't professional movers and my mother hasn't moved in 25 years so him expecting her to get everything perfect is crazy. She didnt know the sofa wouldn't fit in her hallways and he had no problem removing them until the money was sent. I told him I had been nothing but nice to him and paid him so I didn't understand why so rude now when he agreed to bring back the items. He yelled at me " you a black woman and yall lie, that's all yall do, yall can't be trusted". I have the entire interaction recorded and he is the only aggressive, rude and yelling person! 3:02 pm I paid him and in that moment and he totally flipped the script almost immediately. Before he finished I asked for his lawyers contact information and the contract he brought up which he refused to give me either but brought them up. He showed up at 10:23am and was unloading the items on the street at 3:47pm. He told us how we wasted his time although he had been paid in full at 3:02pm and agreed to bring the items back and said " yall think this is slavery"; he agreed to bring the items back under no distress so I was confused why he was behaving so rude and aggressive. A google search of the owner will tell you everything you need to know; sorry I didn't do it before hand. Darrell Lardge Update(5:50pm 8/3/24) : he is now calling me and my mom multiple times after we left the review threatening us with legal action. We haven't told one lie so we will not remove the review but now worried about safety with his behavior. He's calling and text us both.

I reached out to get a quote to wallpaper my parents' powder bath (we were "gifting" this to our…read moremother). I explained that we were planning to use an unusually-wide wallpaper from the UK and it's a small job. I spoke with Tim who said that they did powder baths all the time, wasn't daunted by the paper size, etc. He followed up immediately with a text providing his phone number and said he could come by in a few days to take measurements, etc. I sent him an email with all of the measurements and didn't hear back with a quote. I followed up via text a few days later to see if he wanted to measure directly or did he need anything more for a quote so he could let us know how much wallpaper to order. No response. I waited a few days and called. He was very apologetic, he was just busy, he would do it that night. Again, no follow up. I gave him another few days and texted him. No response. I tried one more time and received no response. I understand that people get busy (I'm busy too!) and I understand if you've changed your mind and are no longer interested in the work, but if you've committed (twice!) to provide a quote, it isn't unreasonable to take two minutes to text that you just can't do it. Poor communication, would not recommend.

He told me to contact him if I had any issues in the next couple of days as he would be working close by. Within hours of completing the job, I noticed that some of the wallpaper had not stuck to the walls and was curling on the edges. I tried reaching out to Mr. Bodine via email and phone without success. After 6 months without any word from him, I emailed one last time to let him know I was posting a negative review on Yelp. He returned my email with a call within 24 hours and corrected the problem a day later. As a result, I am changing my initial 2 star review to 3 stars. Had he been responsive initially and corrected the problem in a timely manner, I would have given him 4 stars. Pros: - When all is said and done, the wallpapering looks great. - He managed my expectations both while we were discussing the project and during the actual job. - He let me know what to expect once my grasscloth "dried out" and gave suggestions on what to do with the screws of the returns he covered so they wouldn't stick out like sore thumbs on my newly papered walls. - He arrived on the scheduled work day early. Cons: - Inefficient: his estimates are based on the total number of hours he thinks he is going to take (which includes the time he spends talking and not working). - Unresponsive for follow-up until my negative review.

They presented a forged contract as documentation to my bank over a dispute of the charges I paid. I never signed off on any contract or any document in respect to the service they were hired to provide which they never did. I never provided my signature to them AT ALL!!!. So far I've had to file a police report with my local police department regarding the forgery, and a claim and complaint with the CFPB to investigate what has been presented to my bank. Not sure of what the outcome will be but I sure would like to see them held accountable and possibly prosecuted. Hopefully they will definitely find out that it's criminal and actually a federal crime to forge someone's signature for financial gain especially if they present it to a banking institution. Consumers need to know the lengths this company and its owner/owners will go to in order to make money even when they don't provide the service they were hired for. I will definitely be pursuing this case with vigilance. Not only is it criminal, it's a complete violation of my identity and an invasion of personal boundaries to present my signature on something I never signed.
