I wish I had found Norma O'Bryan of Discount Draperies long ago. Our most recent experience (in 2021) with a different drape company cost us twice the amount per window, took nearly three times as long to have the drapes made and installed. What's worse, is that I'd call four times and leave a message before I would receive a call back. Norma is amazing to work with. She is very responsive. She came to our home with countless fabric and trim samples. She counseled us on fabric, styles, colors and hardware. Our drapes were made by her local workroom within the time Norma estimated, and Norma's installation person, Josh, did an excellent job installing them while Norma was here with him to ensure our satisfaction. We are so pleased!

Over the past year of working with Kayla there have been consistent changes to her prices without notification, consistent attempts to nickel and dime an extra dollar out of us. She charges for every single dish she loads to every single thing she folds. When our normal cleaning went up by $100 out of nowhere a few weeks ago we inquired to why that was and she informed us that we are now paying a $20 Venmo transaction fee in addition to all these other charges to the same stuff she's been doing for a year. She did not notify us before she raised her prices either. When my family decided to terminate services with her, she referenced a contract that says she needs 30 day notice before ending. A few weeks ago we gave her notice that her rising prices were not something we can continue to do and she said she understood and then this week informed us that she needs an additional 30 days of payment to terminate the contract. When we asked her to at least clean if we have to pay $1000 (2 cleanings) can you at least do the cleaning. She refused stating after we complained about the prices she doesn't feel comfortable working for us. So she's got VERY thin skin. Words cannot express how dishonest this person is. It's really nice that she has a spreadsheet and she itemize all the things she has done which makes her come off as incredibly professional, but what it actually has shown itself to be incredibly dishonest, deceitful, & shady practices. As a business owner myself and having a family that has multiple businesses, we are very familiar with the nuances of entrepreneurship, but we are also big believers in honesty and transparency and this person does not uphold that in anyway. Recently we have found that she has been posting photos of our home (master bath and messy kitchen) on yelp and Google without any consent or permission. Legally, this is called Unauthorized invasion of privacy. This is grossly illegal. Good thing we have a lawyer in the family and will probably be dealing with her accordingly. ***update: She continues to lie in response to my review. This person is continuously disgusting and I'm sure she's gonna just continue to get this review removed. With two pet cats, she was drawn to Croy's use of eco-friendly cleaning chemicals. After cleaning, the house smells fresh .. and everything looks neat and dust-free. So we didn't even spend any money here, just the gift certificate. Which I believe was issued by Metro Lighting, not purchased by someone. We wanted to order a product that they didn't have in stock. Not just something they were out of, but something they don't usually carry. Again, we were spending zero dollars here. But Cameron was one of the most helpful employees I've ever dealt with. She got the products we wanted ordered, price matched from an online ad, and was just all around awesome. The next time we need to buy anything that they would have, we will be going back here. Metro Lighting is lucky to have someone like Cameron working for them. People like that are what makes a store stand out.

Called the store manager (who is also our sales rep), and she blamed everything on production. Doesn't have a clue when our furniture will deliver. She had the audacity to tell us her production team doesn't tell the stores anything. They just deliver when they deliver. I asked for their phone number and she doesn't have one. She can only email them. This same store manager didn't have a hard time following up with us every 10 min for three hours when we were in their store. This store manager didn't have a problem taking our $2700 cash down. But, now...she has no answers. We started calling after not hearing from the store in 7 weeks. It took 6 phone calls and 2.5 weeks to get a call return. And, we were promised we would get our furniture the end of April. We are two weeks into May 2024 and no phone calls, no follow-up, no furniture. Covid can no longer be blamed for these delays. This is customer service at its worst. I would love to take a class action law suit against Lazy Boy. If I cancel my order I am out $2700. It would be better to buy your furniture from a yard sale, at least you would have it in your possession! Buyer BEWARE!
