And go over the quotes very carefully. I didn't and on painting day found out what I was expecting was not what the painters had planned. They did work with me and got started. But then needed more money because they needed more paint. Shouldn't the professional know how much paint is required for the job? I spoke to another paint company who was shocked I was asked for more money after they were half way through the job. Do I have the option to say no? Not really, I need the job done. Also the communication between the scheduler and the painting team seems faulty, as I expressed clearly about fragrance allergies causing migraines yet no one seemed to care and arrived with cologne and scented clothing. So 5 star painting please fix that, a migraine is no joke. The photo attached is the "corrected" crown molding ... this wobbly line at the bottom is after I asked it to be redone and it's just getting worse because the guy added more caulk over the mess made before and immediately painted under it. I signed a contract to have 3 rooms and a hall painted, the trim, 10 doors and a closet painted. Well, the professionalism stopped with the salesman. The painters arrived late mornings and left early afternoons over a 5-day period. A job that should have taken two painters 2 days to complete, started on a Monday and carried over into the next week. More importantly, the finished job looks like a beginner painter's work. It does not look professional at all. Some walls were partially painted two coats; there are dried paint drips, one side of a door was left unpainted; walls that needed repair were not smoothed out before painting. I was most shocked by the fact that the painters did not paint behind the refrigerator or paint the adjoining wall. Although, they told me they had painted all areas covered in my contract. They told me they had completed everything....unfortunately I believed them. I gave them a substantial tip. Later, when I realized the job was not completed and some areas were a hot mess, I asked them to return the tip. They did not. The bottom line is, CertaPro is a recognizable name. However, the painters are subcontractors who come and go, and do as they please. I got a painter, Stephen, who said he had been subcontracting for 5 years, longer than most of Certapro's painters. He and his helper (his cousin) were not experienced painters! I hope this review helps others from making the mistake I made. I actually signed a contract with a company that should have been named CertaNon-Pro!
