PLEASE DONT GET LUPE! She was supposed fix my bleached hair I did at home and I told her I just want to go a tiny bit darker and have my roots be darker than the rest of my so it fades out better. She didn't listen to anything I said, she made my hair almost black, she started coloring at the bottom of my hair, so the top is light but the bottom is darker, which is what I specifically asked for her not to do. Now my hair looks tacky and she tried to fix it 2 days later but it just looked worse and darker now. My hair is damaged and thin. Btw I also paid her like $300 so if you go here please don't get Lupe. read more

The consult went well and I could tell she knew what she was talking about. They took such good care of me, spending time shampooing, treating and styling my hair. I ended up following her to her own business, The Organic Salon (which is inside Urban Luxury Salon) I wanted to do an ashy blonde but have only trusted her to color my hair. It took about 2 hair appointments since my hair is very dark brown to get the color I wanted. Alyssa walks you through the whole process of what her organic hair dyes are. She uses The Organic Colour system. If you look up the dyes she uses they are: -95% naturally derived and 60% certified organic ingredients. -Vegan friendly colour, care and styling products. -Free from ammonia, parabens, resorcinol, gluten and GMO ingredients. -No nasty chemical smell -Cruelty-free. Even though I went through 2 color appointment, my hair is still healthy as ever! She was extremely conscious to retain the health of my hair (before dying my hair, it was back to it's natural color). Her skills at styling and creating a flawless balayage and ombré were so on point and exact what I wanted when I brought in my sample pictures. Oh one thing I haven't seen any other salon do and makes Alyssa/The Organic Salon truly special, is she finds companies that are sustainable. Meaning she recycles you cut hair with a certain company and the dye she uses another company will recycle/reprocess the dye to where it's not harmful to the environment. This salon operates differently as they charge by the hour. I don't mind this, and don't mind paying higher prices for good service and quality products, but my last experience was not a good one. I've been seeing Melissa who at first she was very sweet and easy to work with, but when the salon started to get busy she seemed to change. Before my appointment we exchanged text messages and agreed upon a time frame to complete my services, but when I got there she started complaining that it wasn't going to be enough time, and made me feel like it was my fault. She ended up over-bleaching my hair, but the worst part was her attitude. She told me their services had become in high demand, and that she was going to raise her prices so that she could work less and make the same amount of money. It became very clear that I was just a warm body with a credit card and there were plenty more where I came from. When it comes to a stylist-client relationship appreciation should go both ways, and I definitely did not feel appreciated. read more

So excited I found Alyssa! I do not use toxic products on my hair or skin and wig the greys coming in I always hated having to put color on my hair. So just out of curiosity one day I did some googling and found the Organic Salon. Her hair dye is formaldehyde and ammonia free and she really took her time to listen to me on my cut which I have had trouble finding someone who could cut my hair in a way that works as it's wavy with layers. Phenomenal job and I'll be back! Not only is toxic hair dye bad for our skin but when rinsed down the drain it contributes to polluting our ground water so choosing a stylist that lowers our carbon footprint is extremely important to me as it should be in society as the concern for environmental safety grows. read more
