Great service and yummy ice cream. Its very kid friendly and lots of outdoor space. There is good parking which you can't find by the stores in Freeport. The staff said the cafe part is coming soon!

I submit this for management to take corrective action,…read more I stopped in for a quick cup of coffee. One would think this would be a non event. The coffee was served in a hand made mug with no handle. WAY TOO HOT to hold. When I pointed this out the server moved on to mistake number two. "You can pick it up at the rim," she suggested, and then proceeded to demonstrate, putting her fingers ALL OVER the rim.... DISGUSTING! There is an old expression in the food service business where top third of a glass, mug etc. belongs to the customer. In a 15 second interaction they managed to screw up a simple cup of coffee.....For A COFFEE SHOP, you would think they would be savvy about such simple minded matters.... Had her pour into a paper cup and bit my tongue.....Get it together......it is a simple process.

I like the interior: it has old, historic Maine building vibes (the exposed brick, the wooden floors, the large windows with accent shutters). I like the coffee (it's from a local roaster; shame on other coffee shops for not buying their beans from Maine businesses). I like the staff: I had A LOT of weird requests, and the person ringing me up was like, "yeah, we got you, girl" (not like that, but you get the point). I like the abundance of non-dairy creamer options. I like the very Maine themed lattes (like, The Golden Road? IYKYK) I like the very seasonal themed lattes. I like that they're dog friendly. I asked them if it was possible to get the Down East Maple Latte iced (with an extra shot) and additionally a healthy sprinkle of sea salt. It was the saltiest latte I've ever had in my life, but like, in a good way? It was a gentle amount of sweet, strong on the espresso flavor, and salty. I would absolutely come out of my way to WFM here!

We went early - which was a good move, as mid to later morning - the place fills in really fast. We went on a weekend. The greeting we received when we walked in was friendly and welcoming. We were seated quickly in a lovely / cozy window seat area. Seating can be tight when it's full and there are coats etc. It wasn't uncomfortable, however, if you like a lot of personal space, you may want to get take out, or get there early. The place was clean and super cute inside. Loved plates and the condiment baskets! The menu had something to curb my sweet and savory cravings. We started with a delicious hot chocolate - in a very interesting glass mug. The grilled blueberry muffin was delicious - one thing that stood out is it was sliced into three pieces! I loved it that way and now I judge other restaurants when they don't do this. LOL The croissant was nice - not sure if it was made locally, but it was fresh and tasty. My breakfast plate was YUM!! The homemade corned beef hash amazing! The eggs perfect and the potatoes - tender and wonderful savory flavor. I saved a little to bring home to my husband to try. My friend's eggs benedict looked amazing. She said she loved it. The parking lot is primarily for them - which I didn't realize because of the way it's positioned in front of the tattoo shop. I love that Matt and Mandy are in this corner and I can't wait to return. Thank you to the staff that made our experience wonderful - Food and customer services - 10 stars!

I walked in thinking I'd order something simple, but Jocelyn somehow anticipated exactly what I wanted before I even said it -- an oatmeal latte with honey infused right into the espresso. It was warm, silky, lightly sweet, and honestly one of the most thoughtful, dialed‑in drinks I've had anywhere. You can tell when someone really knows their craft, and she absolutely does. We also grabbed the curried chicken sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance of creamy and bright. It's the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid‑bite and go, "Wait... this is really good." The whole place has that cozy‑local‑favorite energy -- friendly staff, great food, and the kind of coffee that makes you want to reroute your trip just to come back again. If you're driving through Freeport, Camden, or anywhere along the coast, Wild Oats is 100% worth the detour.
