beautiful venue for a beautiful couple!

What a stunning venue!! Imagine Mt. Hood as the backdrop, and then this delightful orchard with tall luscious blooms of hydrangeas, lavender, roses, hollyhocks, and more. Strings of light across the open space above the guests. SO ROMANTIC! The best feature to me though is that they allow you to choose your own vendors (caterers, florals, cake, etc) unlike most other venues that push their preferences onto you. Cheers to Christina and Khoa for such a beautiful wedding. Their day was the glimmer of light in the midst of the Covid darkness. If I am being completely honest, we questioned whether or not this August 2020 wedding would be possible since many other happy pairs had to reschedule this year. Luckily this outdoor venue and small guest list of family and close friends allowed for the Covid safety mandated by the county and state. Covid Safety - The venue was thoroughly sanitized prior to the event. Face masks for all staff working the event. The bride and groom are in the medical field so they provided face masks for all guests to wear, aside from when eating and drinking. The rows of chairs for the ceremony where 6 feet apart from one another. Each row correlated to a table, so that there were limited points of contacts. Hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue. The venue was very nice and accommodating throughout the process. They allowed us to leave things in the fridge from the night prior since it did not fit in the fridge at our house rentals. Also, the bride's sister forgot something while we were at rehearsals, and they kindly came back to open the gate for her to retrieve her goods. My friend also mentioned really good pricing compared to other venues she checked out. Everyone had an amazing time at the wedding. It is definitely worth it for me to make the trip to be there for my friend! We've been friends since first grade :) But don't worry... I'm self isolating after my exposure to a semi-large group to keep our germs contained.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at The Orchard. We ended up here after a string of bad luck due to COVID that led to us turning a large indoor wedding in Portland into a small elopement. We were connected with Molly in mid-June and she was able to help us get everything together for a July 31st event. She even helped connect us to a caterer to provide dinner and cake for the event as restaurants were not open and would have been tricky to orchestrate with. Because the sun sets so late in July we ended up doing a brief cocktail time, dinner, the ceremony, and then cake. They even allowed our small dog so we were able to incorporate him into the ceremony which was really fun. The space is absolutely beautiful, you really can't beat the views with lovely flowers and orchards to accent the mountains. Molly worked with us to figure out the best set up for a small event (total of 10 people including myself and the groom) and when we arrived everything looked perfect. It is so nice that they have all of the furniture in house, it made everything super easy and the options were all beautiful. We are so thankful to have found this venue, our families loved it and I have received so many compliments on the venue based on the photos, I highly recommend!

The Orchard is an incredible venue!! I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. The first time I saw the venue in person my jaw dropped and it remained that amazing throughout our whole wedding. The staff is awesome and very communicative and great about sending out brochures. The property is outstanding with the two Mountain View's and we got married in august so the hydrangeas were in full bloom and just gorgeous. It did rain for about 15 minutes on our wedding day but it created the most spectacular sunset we've ever seen. Would very highly recommend getting married in this magical place!

My husband and I got married at The Orchard August 4 2019. The property is absolutely stunning and the mountain views are unbeatable! The were so easy to work with and Molly even did our flowers, which were stunning! They did an amazing job with the property and have included so many details to make it perfect! It is rare to find a venue that lets you 100% create your own day with your own vendors, which allowed for a unique and personalized wedding. We could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding!!

The Orchard was the best place to get married. The planning process was so easy and enjoyable from start to finish. The location and views cannot be beat and the folks at the Orchard are always doing everything they can to make the grounds more and more beautiful and to make the wedding planning process more and more streamlined and easy. We first chose the Orchard because they allowed up to 175 guests (whereas many venues in the area have a max. of 150). But we would not have wanted to get married anywhere else. We loved that there were view of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams and that they partnered with Celilo Catering. The flowers and setting are gorgeous at every moment of the year and all of the staff go above and beyond for their couples. We had the absolute most wonderful, easy, and beautiful wedding day thanks to the Orchard (and all our other great vendors!). I highly recommend the Orchard to anyone looking to get married in the Gorge!

Truly the most amazing location to have a wedding! If you are interested in having an outdoor wedding in the gorge with epic scenery and mountain views, this place ticks all the boxes. We were very fortunate to get to be able to hold our wedding at The Orchard during it's very first wedding season. When my husband and I initially toured the venue, it was a concrete slab with an unpainted new barn structure surrounded by dirt. Even then, it was easy to see the inherent gorgeousness of this pear orchard with surrounding mountain views. The venue owners Molly and Amanda were down to earth, easy to work with, and professional but not formal (which I liked). The site was finished to perfection by our wedding: landscaping filled in and beautiful, classic string lights hung from the barn out to the orchard, barn walls whitewashed and beautiful, and dressing room decorated. There are many beautiful wedding venues located in the gorge (I toured a lot of them before deciding on The Orchard). When comparing venue locations here are few things to think about that the Orchard offers that other venues did not. 1) Some venues had a view of Mt. Hood; The Orchard has double mountain views of Mt. Hood along with Mt. Adams 2) Other venues would have required us to book additional rentals; the Orchard included chairs, benches, farm tables, dessert table, a table for the DJ all in the venue rental price. Money saver 3) The portable bathrooms!!!! Technically this point could have gone under reason #2 but it really deserves its own separate line. So, the portable bathrooms are included in the venue rental price (again cool money saver). Also, they were really really really nice.... like PREMIUM! There are three bathrooms included in the price (1 is ADA accessible though all 3 I would say are spacious). They kind of look like an airstream bus. They have air conditioning, lighting and running water. Honestly, they were just like a regular bathroom... they were just located in the middle of a beautiful orchard My wedding had 150 guests and there was never a line. 4) The location of The Orchard. I can't speak for all wedding venues but most of the ones we looked at (we were interested in scenery and nature) were located further out of town. The Orchard is just 10 minutes from downtown Hood River! It was so close. It feels like you are out in the country, but you are still really close to everything. It made it easy to coordinate our shuttle transportation for guests. And again it was a money saver that we were able to hire one shuttle to do multiple trips instead of needing to book multiple vehicles. Obviously I highly recommend this venue. Some practical things to also consider are that the venue is in Hood River and it is windy. We had to make practical adjustments with out wedding decorations to make sure things wouldn't blow away. Also, the venue only has one bridal suite. There is no separate space for the groom and the groomsmen to hang out in. My husband and his guys were pretty warm right before the ceremony (it was summer time and they were helping to set things up) and I needed to let them into the air-conditioning in the bridal suite in order to keep everyone comfortable. Also the bridal suite is fairly small and I wouldn't recommend getting ready there. We got ready off site and then used the bridal suite just to hide away in before the wedding started. The review is long, but I honestly feel like once you find the venue and pick your date everything else begins to fall into place... so it's important to get what you like

A Dream Wedding Venue with Amazing Owners!…read more We had our daughter's wedding at Redland Family Farm, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful or accommodating venue. From the start, Adelle and Tim were so patient and helpful, even with the many questions and requests we threw their way. They always responded with kindness and made the entire process so much easier for us. They went above and beyond on the wedding day--Adelle even helped turn simple cheesecloth into gorgeous curtains, creating a warm and romantic entryway for the bride and groom. The venue itself is stunning, with two separate suites for the bride and groom to get ready, a large parking lot for guests, onsite staff to assist throughout the day, and the most breathtaking oak tree and sunset views you could imagine. Adelle and Tim are such a wonderful couple to work with, and their property is truly a gem. If you're looking for a venue that combines natural beauty with caring, hands-on owners, Redland Family Farm is the perfect choice!

You can tell it's a family-run space, and that makes all the difference. We got married on a chilly summer solstice day with unexpected rain, and Tim was constantly stoking the fires to keep everyone warm and cozy. Even with the weather, there were so many beautiful, usable spaces for our guests to enjoy. The property is breathtaking in every direction, rain or shine! Adele and Tim were the kindest, most accommodating hosts. The whole day felt warm, welcoming, and so well supported. If you're looking for a venue that's as thoughtful as it is gorgeous, this is it. We are so grateful we chose Redland Family Farm - it was the best decision we made, and we would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat!

Of course you have the stunning view of Mt. Hood in the background, and we were lucky enough for it to be clear on our wedding day, but even on an off day if you can't see the mountain, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained that you won't be disappointed. Most of our guests were from out of town and we got so many compliments about it being the most amazing venue they had ever been to. In fact, it took a while to get the dance floor going because people were spending so much time admiring the view and taking pictures! Starting your wedding planning journey can be so confusing and oftentimes frustrating, and finding a venue is where it really starts. Gorge Crest made the process as simple as possible, offering a full, REALISTIC event quote (including things like catering, DJ, etc.) and providing a list of mandatory vendor options. While some may find this limiting, we were pleased to know that they had vetted vendors and were so happy with everyone they recommended. Jena was always quick to respond and worked with us on our requests, including extra time in the Grooms room and letting us leave a car overnight to pack up our decorations in. The only issue we ran into was getting recurring invoices in our email that weren't meant for us... I would just recommend staying on top of what you owe them and know that you may need to remind them that they have made a mistake. Best wishes to anyone who chooses to get married here. It is a very special place.

Snacks table - A cornucopia of little bites were available in the pavilion including cheeses, hearts of palm and crackers.   Salad - Our first plated course which I passed on as I wasn't into the mix of leaves.  I'm more inclined to romaine or green leaf.   Veggies - I honestly can't remember what exactly was served but they were good!   Rice pilaf - That's what was stated on the table menu but it was more of a risotto as it was super sticky, mushy and low on flavor.  Bleh.   Chicken - Simply roasted and lightly seasoned.  The piece I had was on the dry side.   Steak - Easily the tastiest meal of them all, drizzled in a savory chimichurri sauce.  It was so good we asked for more.   After dinner was dancing but the DJ's music was so soft that it didn't give you (or me, anyway) the excitement of being on a dancefloor.  The bar stayed open till the very end with the two bartenders providing friendly and quick service.   OVERALL: We have similar venues on Maui and these guys are right up there with the best of them.

The bar, adjoining restrooms and such are attached in a way that does not cheapen the natural beauty of it all. It's not a huge selection of beverages, but there's plenty enough you should be able to find at least one or two beverages you like from the beer, wine, cider, seltzer, etc. selections. Finding the Ruins is easy as well as parking. There's great signage pointing you in the right direction, and it's only one block off the main strip in downtown Hood River. The acoustics are fantastic, and it was a blast being able to be right there in front of the stage. The music was loud, but not too loud. I wasn't worried at all about not having earplugs. From what I hear, they have rotating food carts for events and shows. We were able to choose from an ice cream/gourmet ice cream-float cart, and a savory and sweet crêpe cart. We had both of course!
