My wife and I made a road trip up the California, Oregon, and Washington coasts, staying in many wonderful hotels and bed & breakfast establishments along the way. On our way back to Los Angeles, we stoped at the Columbia River Gorge and stayed at Carson Luxury Cabins. What an amazing experience--one of the highlights of our trip! The 9-acre setting was like a beautiful park, with amazing pathways through the trees and meadows and benches placed along the way to sit down and take in the view. The cabins truly were luxury, with all the amenities one would expect from a 5-star hotel. The owners were meticulous hosts, even preparing a delicious vegan and gluten-free breakfast for us and delivering it to our door every morning. We have many incredible memories from our trip, but our stay here was one of the best.

I can't say enough about this place, the cabins are awesome. We stayed in the Northwest territory cabin. It has its own parking spot away from everyone and its kind of off all by itself. The interior its a warm pine cabin feel with a jacuzzi tub. Our hosts Richard and Theresa were some of the warmest and kind people we have encountered on our travels. They are genuine and make you feel at home. The home made breakfasts are amazing! Highly highly recommend!

Beautiful place very quiet there are outdoor fire pits and little trails to walk around the property on extremely clean. the staff are very friendly and helpful they brought breakfast up to (the hood ) my cabin in morning it was hot and very good homemade food. Inside my cabin is a very plush king bed, a two person tub and a big shower. Would have not went anywhere else for my wife's birthday. Highly recommend this stay for a cozy night out

Loved our one night stay at these luxury cabins! When we asked for something, the owners delivered! They also made it a point to go above and beyond on my expectation of a "continental" or included breakfast, asking what allergens one might have, my list is very long and they made My breakfast happen! We also got to enjoy a late snowfall in the morning! Which was a beautiful touch to being in a cabin. Definitely want to Come again.

I don't even know where to begin. Entering the property we felt like we were in our own little world. The attention to the property detail was nothing I had ever seen before except maybe the Wilderness Lodge at Disney World. In saying this, the comparison is to the attention to the detail of the grounds. From the walking paths to the landscaping, to the placement of the cabins and the view from every cabin, priceless. The grounds are simply impeccable! Our Mount Adams cabin was beautiful. No detail was left unturned. There is wine in the room (Honor system), games and popcorn with the movie box container so you could take it to your porch swing or to the fire pits on the property. And how can I forget the oh so luxurious bedsheets. Every morning we sat on the porch drinking our coffee and consuming the most exquisite breakfast (Prepared by Richard and Theresa) that was delivered to our cabin. Our hosts, Richard and Theresa were so so gracious. We started off our trip here and now wish we would have made this the end of our trip. So relaxing and peaceful! The perfect touch to end any vacation. We will be returning to Carson Ridge Luxury cabins for a vacation again soon! We look forward to the expansion of the additional cabins and can't wait for the restaurant and spa addition in the near future. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!

We stayed here for an anniversary and throughly enjoyed the experience. Richard and Theresa take great pride in providing top-notched service and it's pays off. They cook an amazing breakfast and bring it to you around 9 every morning-- they gave us a great quiche recipe they served and it's save in our recipe book now. The grounds are well kept and fun to walk around. We stayed in the Mount St. Helens cabin and loved it. My boyfriend also secretly got one of the romance packages and was communicating with Richard during one of our outings to have it set up by the time we came back and it was perfect. Perfectly romantic and wonderful.

The feeling you get when you walk in is that of... rustic luxury. Huge vaulted ceilings and big picture windows give this wooden palace an exceptionally open feel. To your left as you walk in the door is a kitchen that you swear Paula Dean or Dolly Parton is going to pop out of with a plate of hot biscuits. I believe the most heard exclamation I heard as people walked in for the first time was, "Holy fucking shit." I think a Catholic Priest would say the same thing. Here are the stats on the place. Four bedrooms plus a loft bedroom, four and a half bathrooms, three floors, Jacuzzi, free Wi-Fi, two patios, fully functional kitchen, two sets of washers and dryers, sleeps at least 15 by my count and the place just oozes serenity. I have stayed at the Bigfoot Lodge twice now; we rent in late October for a race that we attend near Mt. Hood City. Each time I find something I like more about the place. Great cell phone coverage, everyone in our group was either Verizon or AT&T. The Wi-Fi also worked great, the password is in the book in the kitchen. There are a few downsides to the place that are easily overlooked. Some of the furniture has been repaired with rustic matching duct tape. The stove in the kitchen is a little small and not very powerful. The downstairs brownstone shower needs a new showerhead in the worst way. That is about all the negatives I can think of. I believe the place runs about $299 a night, there are specials for extended stays as well. I can see a bunch of people using the place for skiing vacations, there have been many weddings there, family reunions, corporate retreats but one things that I keep thinking is Super Bowl!

The rooms were spacious and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Fresh berries, eggs, bacon and coffee were scrumptious. The views of Mount Hood with fresh snow from their living room were postcard pretty. Tons to do in the area with orchards, vineyards, breweries, restaurants, hiking trails and so much more. I highly recommend Bigfoot Lodge as a special experience Thank you again Nilsa and Mark

The BnB is perched perfectly above acres of orchards (apples and pears), with the most gorgeous view of Mt Hood from the porch. We went in January and used the BnB as a "homebase" for our snowshoeing and snowboarding adventures. Mike, Jackie's husband, is extremely knowledgable on local dining options in Parkdale (and their covid protocols), as well as secret local-known trails and routes. We had an amazing time exploring this side of 35 and feel we've discovered a treasure. Oh, and Jackie's breakfasts? AMAZING. We were well fueled for our daily adventures! And a different breakfast each day! Pancakes, Dutch Babies, Coffee Cake, French Toast, eggs, bacon, fruit (including fresh local pears!) were some of what greeted us in the mornings before we headed out. For the nitty-gritty info you want - the rooms are small but comfortable - we were able to each put a yoga mat beside our sides of the bed to do stretches, or one of us could stretch at the foot of the bed. Each room has it's own bathroom (barndoor dividing the bedroom from bathroom) with a full tub, pedestal sink, fan and bathroom heater. The bathrooms have plenty of space for two, as well as hot water for showers. There are hooks EVERYWHERE in the room for your gear to hang. The beds are comfy, with an extra memory foam topper, and plenty of warm bedding, with extra blankets if you need. The rooms have wall-heaters that get the rooms toasty! We actually had to turn ours off the first night, haha. Each room also has it's own small wall-mounted HDMI (and component) TV with satellite-tv and DVD-player, and the hosts have an extension Rom-Com selection available upon request. The communal spaces are cozy and socially distanced, as much as they can be. There's a loveseat on the upper level with a little chatty/hang out area, and the dining room downstairs has 3 tables, distanced as far apart as they can, for couples to dine at. There are only 3 rooms in the BnB, so 6 guests max, and the other 4 when we stayed wore masks like us in the common areas, and spent limited time in them. There's no mask policy (just what the state has, etc), so your experience may vary depending on what other couples are there at the same time, and what restrictions are in place. If you visit in summer or fall, there is an insanely adorable outdoor dining area with lights and plenty of space for folks to spread out. We'll likely book a stay to experience it ourselves! We sent lots of photos and notes to friends and family of our stay at the Mt Hood Bed & Breakfast, and are excited to visit Jackie & Mike again soon!

Flowers, lush green grasses and lovely foliage surround the B&B. A lovely "secret garden" as I call it, is a peaceful place to sit quietly and rest. Mt Hood shows itself majestically as we stood in awe of its beauty. We live in Alabama and the hospitality shown to us by owners Mike and Jackie, was the true southern way! Breakfast was incredible and served promptly with not only deliciousness, but presentation! With only 3 guest rooms, this made for an intimate and private weekend with our daughters family and sweet couple friends. We look forward to returning!!

The jacuzzi in the back was a great relief after a few bad spills down the Ridge Line trail at Mount Hood Meadows. And because we were staying in Hood River, we got 1/2 price lift tickets (only $32 instead of $64!) and on a holiday weekend, that can't be beat. While I don't know if a B&B is for me, this experience was wonderful. My husband and I took a weekend vacation away from the kids. We were lucky enough to book the cabin which is far enough away from the house to offer privacy, if you want it, but we were still able to use the amenities. There is a hot tub, beautiful grounds, and a great vegetarian breakfast, laid by chickens with names such as Pluck-a-hontas, and Feather Locklear. There was an iPod docking station in our room and no t.v. which lead to great conversations and reading time. I am still convinced that the grounds have been charmed by fairies. I felt enchanted the by the whole experience. Just so you know... I will come back again. I only don't give them five stars because the location is a little way out of town (so worth it once you see where you are) and my husband and I woke up with back aches from the bed. This may be because the bed was a queen and we need a king. Come, enjoy, and relax.

There were many small details that we appreciated- a beautifully designed and very clean room, comfortable bed and sheets, heated floors, snacks and drinks in the common area (hot cocoa, tea, soda, popcorn), and guidebooks, cookbooks, and maps for guests. The breakfasts were delicious and carefully prepared by Deanna. We had fresh lamb sausage, cherry tomato and goat cheese tart, scrambled eggs with chives, and sorrel salad. The second day, we had a cream cheese omelette, ham wrapped asparagus, and fresh blueberry scone. Deanna also made a berry smoothie both mornings. John was very kind and taught my husband how to feed their lambs on the second morning. We met him at 8am and my husband got to feed 3 lambs at one time! I have to say, it was a unique and fun experience. We stayed in the Orchard Room, which was great. It was built as an addition in 2007, so it has a separate entrance and felt very private. The bathroom was well appointed with a marble walk-in shower and soaking tub. We had a private balcony overlooking the chickens and lambs on the farm, and it offered an AMAZING view of Mt. Hood. One of the best things about Sakura Ridge is that it's situated on a farm with animals (lambs and chickens) and fruits (pears, apples, peaches, plums, and berries) and vegetables. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the summer.
