Our view from the Mt. Hood room... Unfortunately the cloud over the peak wouldn't move
    Jillian G.

Absolute heaven - so very serene and peaceful and so incredibly beautiful!! This bed and breakfast sits on a hill overlooking Hood River, Oregon and faces Mount Hood - the property is absolutely gorgeous. It sits on an organic orchard and is a working farm with a full garden and farm animals. The attention to detail inside the B&B is impeccable and the place is spotlessly clean. It's truly relaxing and quiet - and at night you can see every star in the sky. The service is excellent and the food is delicious and fresh as it all comes from their own farm. I highly recommend the Mount Hood room as it features a beautiful, clear view of the mountain. This is definitely one of those places you come to to unplug from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The property: When you first enter their gate, you drive through an organic orchard and as the driveway winds around, you end up at the most adorable 3 story cabin. The grounds surrounding it are beautifully landscaped with pretty flowers growing and the grounds are nice and colorful. They have the friendliest cat that hangs around the front and greets you as you walk up, too. When you walk to the backside of the cabin, you see Mount Hood -- and many of the rooms feature a gorgeous view of the mountain... absolutely beautiful, unobstructed panoramic views of both the valley and the mountain. Hood River is off to your left. To your right, you see the Sakura Ridge garden where they grow all of the vegetables that they serve during breakfast. They also have their own goats and chickens and they are fun to watch too. The cabin/ rooms: The rooms are adorable -- I arrived at the start of a weekend when the other guests had yet to get there and I peeked it at each of the rooms. They are very cute and inviting. Not all of the rooms feature a view of Mount Hood (some have a view of the side yard, etc), however, it appears that most do. Even if your bedroom doesn't have a view of the mountain, you can always utilize one of the common deck areas that feature amazing views and comfy adirondack chairs. We stayed in the Mount Hood Room and I enjoyed every minute of the amazing views we had. We had our own private patio and stayed out until late at night when we could see every star in the sky. Hood River is down below and there isn't any light pollution to impede your views - it's just magical and romantic. Each of the rooms also have the Toto toilets which have bidet features (not a fan!) - but the heated seats are amaaazing.. haha. The tiled floors are also heated and there is a thermostat on the walls to control the temp. Love it :) The only thing I didn't care for was the fact that the WiFi was so slow it was basically ineffective and there was no TV in our rooms, but that's OK. This is one of those places you really come to to unplug anyway. Also - the cabin has a central community living room and a community kitchen complete with a fridge, microwave, oven, etc. One of the other guests that was there during our stay caught some salmon down in the Columbia and cooked it one night while we were there. They have dishes and all of the utensils you need to make that happen if you don't feel like going out. The food/ service: Breakfast is served each morning at 8:30AM. You sit family style with other guests (but I think that is fun to meet new people - when we were there, there were couples from California and Vermont). The food is fantastic and super fresh as it comes from their own farm (veggies, fruit, sausage, fresh farm eggs, etc). The owner is both the cook and the server and she is friendly and helpful. Afterwards, she and her husband disappear to work on the property and you don't see them again until the next morning at breakfast. Hood River, OR: While this is not directly about the B&B, I just want to say that this is one of the cutest towns in America that I have ever visited. You can shop, play on the water, visit Mount Hood & Timberline Lodge, you can take the "fruit loop" and visit the area's local berry farms, hike in the area and see some awesome waterfalls, drive through the Columbia River Gorge, etc. We had the best time here. I highly recommend this town and this B&B. We also had an Italian dinner one night at Romul's and it was very tasty, so I recommend them as well. :) Enjoy :)

Probably the most impressive lodging experience I've had in quite a long time. Staggeringly beautiful views of Mt Hood, very well kept lovely gardens and farmland surrounded by pine trees. The lodge itself is spotless, well maintained, charming, and the hospitality is way above average - with small tokens of comfort and care that feels more like staying with a family member than a hotel. Farm fresh breakfast served and lots of relaxing things to do in the commons areas, whether lounging, reading, each space is nicely appointed with cool rustic modern decor, art and details. The beds, linens, pillows and everything about the room we stayed in were excellent and comfortable. Very clean, which is a huge factor for me. The hosts were even kind enough to leave fresh flowers in our room for my girlfriend upon my request as a favor. Highly recommend, and will definitely be coming back as a secret little gem of a getaway spot close to Portland that still feels special and tucked away way up in the mountains.

A hidden gem. Expansive pristine farm land and rolling hills with a stunning view of Mt. hood. Beautifully designed and classy lodge. Ridiculously good breakfast. It doesn't get any better than this. Will probably fly up again from the Bay Area just to stay at this place again.

We had a private balcony overlooking the chickens and lambs on the farm, and it offered an AMAZING view of Mt.

Should you choose to stay with the lovely couple that runs the place, Pete & Annette, you won't regret it as they are truly the most inviting hosts. This is not your Grandma's B&B! They have 3 permanent tents complete with beds in them, one of which is a tree house. That's right a tree house! As a guest you have access to the bath house as well. I had the pleasure of working directly with both Pete and Annette for a friend's wedding. Not only did our hosts do everything they could to transform their working orchard into a gorgeous Wedding Venue, but they were there every step of the way to make sure everything went smoothly for the guests. Need a generator, or a way to park all of your guests amongst the pear trees? Pete's got it covered! Need all the pretty touches from a garden to spruce up the Honey Moon Suite/Tree House or a back-up catering plan when it looks like your caterer is not going to show up? Don't worry, Annette has you covered! The grounds are spread out and do require a bit of walking from the tree house, tent sites, bath house, main house and reception space. But it's absolutely worth it. The Orchard is beautiful, the venue is one of a kind but the hospitality here is incredible! Regardless of if you need a weekend getaway or a venue for a special event, I'd recommend Bella Vista without a moment's hesitation.

The reception area is really sweet and charming- lights were hanging inside of the tent and hay barrel couches with lace sheets surrounded the dance floor. We had a great bonfire and many of our guests opted to camp out in the orchard. Annette and Pete were fabulous hosts- they really made everything come together seamlessly. Annette did a great job with my makeup and her daughter, Tiffany, was an amazing bartender. Annette and Pete took care of many of the prep details and were always available for any questions/concerns I had. Both were fully present and so helpful the entire wedding day and evening. The following morning, campers awoke to snacks and coffee! Bella Vista is a very special place and we feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to get married there! Thanks Annette + Pete!

Greg and Linda, the owners, we very nice people that were the perfect balance of accommodation and hands off. The jacuzzi in the back was a great relief after a few bad spills down the Ridge Line trail at Mount Hood Meadows. And because we were staying in Hood River, we got 1/2 price lift tickets (only $32 instead of $64!) and on a holiday weekend, that can't be beat. While I don't know if a B&B is for me, this experience was wonderful. The food was great, the rooms comfortable, cozy, and roomy, and plenty of room to either be with the other guys or be by yourself. I'll certainly return if I come back to Hood River.

The room (The Gorge Room) was ok, and had a Murphy bed (as advertised), but it sure felt like a full not a queen size. Very small. Also, again as advertised, the bathroom for this room is down the hall. This wasn't a problem and we expected it (again, as advertised). However, upon getting into the shower, both the diverter handle and water pressure/temp handle came right off! Fortunately, I was able to get both back into the slots internally and take showers, but that should definitely be fixed/replaced. Overall this is a very old property with lots of charming design and decor. Just be aware that this may come with challenges, and older reviews make it sound better than it is. It certainly isn't living up to its older reputation. It is also largely an unstaffed property. I did see a lady working in back and spoke to her briefly, but other than that, no one.

Our room was so cozy (and in this case that isn't code for "small": we had a king size bed and the room still felt spacious) with an electric fireplace and comfortable bed with giant pillows. Our bathroom had a giant, beautiful soaking tub which we did take advantage of and even my 6' tall husband found it comfortable. Everything other reviewers have stated is true: it is charming, comfortable and fun. The design and decor all feel thoughtful and natural. Every space is inviting and it seems there is something delightful to see around every corner: a DIY photo booth closet inside the front door with props (!), a make-your-own-trail-mix counter along with coffee/tea/cocoa access 24/7...even just the seating areas inside the front door made me smile. Breakfast was quite the spread & the owner/manager (?) was there with a couple of staff and even took our "order" for what kind of eggs we wanted. They were all so friendly and casual I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. One little thing I never thought I cared about: their towels were SO soft and smelled SO good. I have never experienced anything like it and now I know there is such a thing as an amazing towel experience. Check in was a breeze: there is a parking lot behind the house (1 car per room) & we basically just showed up with a door code & details texted/emailed to us and went straight to our room which was open with keys in the door waiting for us (the exterior access points to the house are all locked/secure so no worries about security).
