This is one of the main local gathering spots for the towns of Fall river Mills and McArthur. You're always bound to run into a good local friend here. This is a re-purpose of one of the original Mercantile buildings back from the turn of the century. Fantastic setting. The Ol Merc has fantastic pizza coupled with some other accoutrements: a great bar with fresh beer on tap, a full video game arcade, pool table, and, wait for it, ice cream parlor! Wow! My pizza was delicious! The cashier Kella suggested that if I was having a tough time deciding on which one to get that I could go half and half. Great idea! I chose the BBQ chicken with bbq sauce, garlic, chicken, bacon, mushrooms and onion and the Chokin Chicken with creamy garlic white sauce, chicken, bacon, artichoke hearts, onion and mushrooms. I got the small (because I want leftovers to eat tomorrow). The pizza came out fast! Super great service. It was DELICIOUS! It was more than I could eat, but the personal size was $14 and the small was twice as big for only $3 more. The Merc was a cute old Mercantile store that is now a fun restaurant and bar with a fun arcade corner. This is the perfect place for dinner with the family. read more

I ordered a gluten free pizza with chicken, onions, and mushrooms. This is basically a small pizza as compared to the non-gluten free. $26.75 + tax!!! Say what?!?! This must be some incredible pizza??? I get my pizza with barely any toppings on top. The pizza is mainly cauliflower crust with a bit of chicken. Wowzers!!! Bottom line... not worth the money. When I complained they stated that my money was helping pay for the PGE bill. Say whaaatttt?!?! Service was a C- as well. Okay. Watch out for all the added charges for anything extra. I love everything about the what has been done with the Merc. I think the flavors available on the speciality pizzas are fun and delicious - love the wings - the burgers, and other fun sandwiches I have had, are on my "will see you again" list. I can say without hesitation that all of the bites I have had here are definitely worth repeating on a regular basis. Not only is the food awesome - the sense of being there is very much the arcade pizzeria - so many fun games to play. All and all a place I love to take my family to just slow down and enjoy. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. It's a big place and although we weren't there with children, you can tell it's a family friendly place. What a find! Love the cool vibe, airy open feeling and fun atmosphere. We had an excellent beer at the vintage historic bar, waiting for our pizza. The pizza and seasonal salads did not disappoint. The salad was super fresh, with mint and toasted almonds and fresh basil dressing. We had a large pizza 1/2 BBQ chicken and 1/2 vegetarian. The crust was thin, moist and crisp on the bottom. New owners took over in spring of 2019. They carry on the same spirit and have made some positive tweaks to the food that I've been enjoying since I started bringing home pizza from here 12 years ago. Prices are super reasonable, and the pizza is tasty. Our initial slices even did the cheese stretch like they show on commercials. The dough is thicker than the last time I was there, but it's good too. We had a pepperoni/sausage and pepperoni/mushroom with garlic white sauce, and it hit the spot. We were going to get it to go, but it was ready so fast that we dined in. When the pizza was delivered, our server/co-owner brought out ranch, and we reminisced with her about how every table in a pizza place used to have honey bears on them so you could drizzle honey on the crust. "We have honey in the back! We get it from a local supplier, do you want some?" "Yes please!" Our girls were initially unsure about this new dining idea, but they ended up liking it. Layout: Big eating area, and great arcade area. Two pinball games, several multiplayer arcade (Simpsons!), pool and ping pong! Can one of my coworkers recommends this pizza place, so I was hungry after a 14 hour shift and decided to try it out, I go and I place my order, the girl tells me 20 minutes I said, ok, some waiting waiting 45 minutes goes by, I have all these workers looking at me, no ones letting me know what's going on, and so of course I start to get angry? Because I'm hungry.so I go up to the guy, andhe goes , did you order French fries, I go French fries are only part of my order, he goes excuse me, so I said it again, but this time I put they are only part of my fudging order cause now I'm pissed cause your not listening to me. And I ask you for a refund. This manager sitting here, instead of trying to defuse the situation, he's making it worse and then tells me I'm disrespecting him and his pizza place. Ok? But Helping 9 people after me and watching everyone get there food is disrespecting me , if he would have just said, hey, we messed up, sorry for not getting your order right, everything would have been fine, but no, he had to sit here and Dodge a bitch. We have been several times hoping it will get better each time. It is better then the previous owners but does not compare to Uptown in Fall River. They don't have the jumbo drinks anymore but their pizza has improved just not enough for my taste. Their Caesar salad with chicken is fairly good. Their chicken and fries is a great option for kids but being a pizza place I think their pizza should be better. The music on Friday night is deafening and not in a good way. We avoid it now after multiple times the music is just too loud. It's a small town place so the music is more of a social gathering. It would be a lot better if it wasn't so dang loud. I do think the balsamic drizzle on the pizza is really good. Some changes to the pizzas would be great and welcomed. Also the prices r high for the sizes and the quality of the pizza. read more

First time trying this place - liked the nice local music, the place was clean, nice and warm, and staff were friendly. We tried the all-meat and the chicken garlic pizzas. However, the pizza left much to be desired, due to the crust which was extremely dry and hard - almost like a stale cracker. It was very disappointing, as the rest of the toppings and sauce were very good, and they even included ranch dressing without our having to ask for it! Adding some moisture to the oven would help it to rise and remain softer. I don't know if this was just an off night, but hopefully they can improve their crust! I would love to be a regular here as it is the only pizza place in town, and the rest of the pizza was excellent, with right balance of sauce, cheese and toppings, and very flavorful. read more

First, thank the lord this place exists! Most places shut down in the winter in this area. The pizza is great and toppings are always fresh. I enjoy the simple salads, fresh and crispy. The beer selection is great, just grab a six pack or a 16 oz off tap and grab a seat at this family style gig. They have live music on most Friday nights and to top it off have at least a half dozen old school arcade games for those of thus that remember when they were new. I didn't like it at all. They got the order wrong in the first place, but since i was already home when I found out i didn't want to drive 15min back to have them correct it. They didn't put any sauce on my pizza. The crust is astonishingly horrid. Worse than the frozen pizzas. I would havr much rather ate a frozen $1 pizza than the 25$ pizza i got from here. Best pizza we've ever had! A co-worker & I worked from Burney to Fall River Mills & rented an Air BNB to save on the commute from Red Bluff to Burney every day. We drove a short 4 miles from Fall River to McArthur for the best pizza ever. We looked at another pizza restaurant in the town of Fall River but the pizza looked better in pictures coming from McArthur so we took a drive & a chance. We were very pleasantly surprised at how tasty the crust was! We split a large (which is near the size of an average xl & easily feeds 3 people 4 slices each) 1/2 & 1/2 an all meat combo, possibly called a ranccer or cowboy? & bbq sauce (instead of red) pineapple & sausage. DELICIOUS! Very good gamble to make the very short drive. We went back 2 nights in a row & both nights ordered the same thing. The salad bar is fair & offers average toppings along with iceburg lettuce. We had it the 1st night but skipped it the 2nd. The venue is very large & offers a bar & video games as well as a large screen tv. There is certainly something for everyone & Ol Merc offers burgers & chicken in addition to a variety of pizza. Should I be in the area again, I will certainly go back for the food, ambiance, & the owners are very kind. read more
