The biggest downside was how crowded it was. There wasn't a clear place to walk up and order at the bar, so we ended up sitting at a small table waiting for an opportunity to order. It would have been nice if someone was walking around taking drink orders or if there was a designated ordering area when the bar is busy. The bartender was fine, but nothing particularly stood out service-wise. Also, if you're traveling with a dog, this is not a pet-friendly bar. As far as I could tell, they also do not serve food in the historic bar itself, so it's best to come just for drinks and the atmosphere.

In short, the Parlor Bar is a great place for breakfast and lunch. The ambiance is fantastic, the food is extremely good and arrives quickly and the bartender, Randal, is five stars in his own right! They don't serve food, but they do have small bags of chips available if you want a quick snack while enjoying your drink. We also learned that Telluride allows open containers in designated areas, so you can take your drink to go if you purchase it from a participating establishment, which was a fun bonus. The décor is warm and inviting, and the overall atmosphere made us want to stay longer. If you want a quick draft beer then Telluride is a good option but if you like breweries and pub food then maybe go somewhere else.
