I came on a Saturday afternoon with two friends for £10.99 per person. For this price, we were able to eat to our hearts' content from all the noodles, meats, veggies. The food ranges from Chinese dishes to Western fried goods to Japanese sushi. There is even a crepe station where they make chinese savory crepes or chocolate banana crepes right in front of you! It is safe to say that I was very pleased with the selection. The only thing is that there was not much seafood items and the sushi rolls were pretty cheaply made with minimal fillings. Nonetheless, it was still satisfactory due to all the other options available. I was pleasantly surprised by the peking duck wraps as well, which is quite the treat in Chinese culture. There are a few cakes, fruits, and ice cream for dessert although I do think this could be improved. I even saw a waffle bubble wrap station, but no one was there to make them unfortunately. Overall, this is the place for your Asian cravings or when you're feeling really hungry. As someone who grew up eating Asian food all of my life, China Red does a good job with the Chinese food and more. Come here for lunch to really make it worthwhile.

I decided to have bits of lots - Prawn Crackers, Spring Rolls, Prawn Toast, Pakora, Popadoms, Garlic Bread with a little spoonful of Macaroni Cheese and then Chicken Korma with Nan Bread (of course). Amazing what you can eat when you have lots of little bits of things. Friend had more of a meal with a mixture of indian food and Italian. I left room for pudd because I love the Chocolate Fountain although there are numerous choices of cakes and goodies. Thoroughly enjoyed it as did my friend. Worth a visit and a reasonable price.

The hot holding temp on many dishes was not being maintained and after our last visit, our entire party had bad diarrhea which is a sign of a failing food hygiene system at this location. The food is poor because it all tastes the same - Asian. You want Chinese? You get basmati rice and spices like tumeric which just don't belong in Chinese food. The Chinese curry tastes the same as the Indian section curry. Everything is under seasoned and there was a poor choice out for a Friday evening. The Italian section was equally awful with overcooked pizzas which lacked meat toppings and undercooked crunchy mac n cheese. Indian section had the best choice and most flavour. This was fine but we paid for a world buffet not an Indian one and the dishes we had in common were from the Indian section so I presume this is where we picked up the bacteria which caused our bum gravy. Dessert section has improved. Was happy to see carrot cake back. Overall, the world buffet was mediocre and over priced for the quality of food we had on this visit. I'll stick to the Glasgow locations in future. Shame as the warm, friendly staff in Motherwell outshine the service in every Glasgow location.

It was £11.99 for the buffet as we went mid week. Unfortunately it was the middle of the road for me on their food. Aye they had, Chinese, Indian, supposedly Thai, Italian and surprisingly a taco, so Mexican as well then. So yes it was quiet, which we wanted but this disappointingly meant two bad things. 1. It meant some of the food was dried out, so had been lying for quite a while. My man's taco was brick hard. 2. The staff were constantly coming to our table asking how everything was. I don't mind the once but every 5 minutes by every single member of staff in there. GO AWAY!!! WE'RE FINE! The girl who we were greeted by and explained how it worked was absolutely lovely and very helpful and friendly. She served us our drinks and was the first to check we were ok and then left us to it. There was plenty to choose from but I felt it was more Indian dish focused. This maybe due to the restaurant being run by Indians/Pakistanis?! The girl apologised to us for the other staff harassing us when we went to pay her the bill, she said they can be overwhelming. We also said about our food being quite dried out and she apologised again and said we should have said something because they would have cooked up something else. It was kind of her but we didn't realise we could and when going to a buffet I don't always know what I want and will like. I also wanted my food instantly, hence going to a buffet, so no wait. It was an alright experience, only lifted by the friendly girl staff member (who I would gladly rate 5 stars) but I don't think we'll be hurrying back soon.

Noone can someone master 7-8 different types of world cuisine. It is a really big restaurant with booths and tables. Being so big and it being a Sunday probably contributed to the lack of atmosphere. The staff were attentive but then there were only a few people in. The food was meh! Some of it had been left out a while and this was obvious. The one positive was that my boyfriend fancied satay chicken and we asked for this. The chefs made it up fresh for him and delivered it to our table. It was alright. The second positive was the chocolate fountain. They had marshamallows and other fruit which was nice. Will not be rushing back.

China buffet King seems to have died of death in Glasgow where they used to be literally on every street. Trends and novelties change as most people don't eat that kind of food. On the buffet there isn't really a selection everything is battered and coated with a different sauce with exception to the chips. The food in the hot holding counters are not holding the food warm enough so food served is usually Luke warm. The only canned drinks on offer is lager, they don't serve Coke or bottled drinks they prefer draught that taste rank. Not a place l would ever go to again. Should be really zero stars.

As mentioned, it looks fairly wee from the outside although it has a fair amount of outdoor seating for sunnier days but as you walk in you realise its like an oddly shaped tardis, walking past the bar it opens up quite far and the back of the building suddenly looks like it'd take several minutes to reach! The decor is all very fresh, pretty sure it's been recently decorated and the toilets are sprakly clean, always a plus point! Anyway. There was a group of 20 odd of us here for an 80th birthday and we were accomodated no problem, including the small demented human in a highchair at one end of the table, and my dad's partner who was in her wheelchair at the other end. Shortly after seating us all and unprompted, a small dish of freshly cooked veg appeared for my niece, along with some butter to mash through them which I thought was a nice touch. It kept her quiet anyway :P The food is a mixture of standard pub fare really, the portions are well thought out and the quality of the food is excellent. There wasn't a single complaint on either side of the table (rare indeed). My only niggle would be that the chips are of the bog standard frozen variety and to be honest, good chips aren't hard to do so there's no need for that. I think 4 of us had steak, all cooked differently (from blue right through to cremated) and they were all considered spot on. For me, they had medium rare down to a tee! We had 4 bottles of house wine on the table, 2 red (1 merlot and 1 shiraz) and 2 white (both Sauv Blanc), myself and my great uncle polished off the reds and I can tell you they were both very, very drinkable. Certainly too drinkable for a school night anyroads, ahem. The food is good value for money and prices are very reasonable although I am suspicious that this is do with the fact they're not well known outwith the local area. I would give this place ago in case that changes!
