My order was simple: a "small" fish and chips (as opposed to the large, which is 2 pieces of fish) and a Guinness. The Guinness was out in a couple of minutes, refreshing as always. A short while later, piping-hot fish and chips was sitting in front of me. A dash of salt and malt vinegar and I was ready to dig in. And dig in I did. The fish was fried perfectly: crispy outside with a soft interior. The chips were excellent, crisp outside and an inside that melted in my mouth. It was so good, I almost wish I ordered a large. A lot of places claim to have great fish and chips. But of the chippies I visited in the UK, this was the best. I will definitely return to Benny T's if in the Falkirk area again.

I had thought, since this was the lunch menu, that it would be a slightly more moderate portion. Not that I'm complaining because it was also delicious. My partner loved his steak pie too. They run a loyalty card (although it's new and I'm not sure the system totally works as it eventually will). They offer cocktails and seem proud of their wine list, but they also offer good coffee and cake, as well as their own home made tablet. They cater to groups and parties and they run offers throughout the week, like two main meals for £7.99 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Brie was creamy and just the right amount of cranberry. My second chai latte of the day was very tasty. They make it with syrup so it is a bit on the sweet side, but very nice none the less. They do offer Gluten and Dairy free too! Both with soups and sandwiches, then also with cakes! I was advised that the afternoon tea offer they have also comes with gluten and dairy free options!
