Yet another lovely dinner at the Cotton House. My only issue is that I want two stomachs :( The shredded duck was beautiful, it's not just food, it's an art. I ordered the sizzling chicken satay, which was very much on the hot side for satay. I was incredibly disappointed in myself for not finishing it! They are happy to pack up left overs though. Booking one week in advance got me a table for three at 6pm on a Saturday night. So again, if you have a specific time you want to eat, give them plenty of notice. read more

The Cotton House is a lovely restaurant located in Bonnybridge near Falkirk. A group of us went here for my mother in law's birthday and the night was a fantastic success. The service was wonderfull, the staff were helpfull friendly and attentive (but not too much). There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food itself is gorgeous, there is a great choice and searvings are generous. Prices are reasable too. Everyone thougherly enjoyed their meal. Ther is also a good selection of drinks to wash down your food but you should really nominate a designated driver because the restaurant is a bit hard to get to if not driving. They do however have a good sized carpark. Booking is advised because they are always busy. Enjoy your meal read more

The Cotton House is my favourite Chinese restaurant and I've been here thousands of times and never have I been let down buy this place. There Chinese menu is amazing, but sometimes they change it around (don't worry if you don't see what you like just ask and they'll get it for you) all there staff are so friendly and make your experience so much better. I've been going to the Cotton House ever since I can remember (because my gran used to live in Denny), and we'd go when I had a Friday off. I can always remember the dish of jelly beans that you get with your reciept, I love it! Also for my Gran's birthday every year on the 27th of December we'd go out here and always get the round turn tables booked. I loved this since they give you complimentary prawn crackers (which I adore) and can't get enough of! They're great with families and you can take your leftovers away with you in a doggy-bag if it's too much for you. When I was little I would always go over and see the fish in their massive fish tank, and would stare at them for ages. I guess this is good for little ones whilst waiting on your takeaway. Just writing this review is making my mouth water! You should definitely go it's so worth it. There's nothing bad to say except that sometimes the it's hard to get a parking space and it's better to make a reservation because everyone wants their food so much! read more

Back again for another delicious dinner and left full and happy. I love this Chinese restaurant it is the best around. It is a bit of a drive for us to get to but oh so worth it. The decor is lovely with a huge fish tank at the door for decoration but the food is just amazing and scrummy. We have never been disappointed here and highly recommend to everyone we know. The service is always friendly and prompt and you don't feel rushed. You do need to book a Saturday night in advance as it gets really busy but with it being big and airy you don't feel squashed or too warm. Can not wait to go back already. The only thing I would love to see on the drinks menu is Prosseco by the glass, it is only me that drinks it in our group and a bottle is far too much for little me. read more

On entering the Cotton House you are confronted with a massively long fish tank, it is beautiful but I wanted to spend the evening watching the fishes instead of eating. But we were there to eat and what we had was quite good. My scallops in ginger and spring onion were a bit flavourless but I got to share some better dishes - the chicken in black pepper and combination chow mein were the star dishes of the night. I'll try this place again as I think it has potential and the service is excellent. read more

this is a very nice chinese restaurant. it is in longcroft, which is a little bit out of the way. it is a big restaurant and is always busy. they have a waiting area just inside the door for takeaway customers which has a massive fish tank separating it from the restaurant. the decor of the restaurant is authentic and very tasteful, with comfortable seating. the tables are far enough apart to not have to worry about bashing chairs with the person behind you. the staff are all very well presented and polite. they have a cheap lunch menu which is nice and a good size for lunch and very quick. in the evenings you definitely have to book in advance. the food is always delicious and well presented. my only problem is that the car park always seems to be full, but you can always park on teh main road. read more

Excellent location, beautifully decorated restaurant, wonderful service, immaculate toilets. Oh and the food was utterly divine. The Asian duck salad which is loaded with coriander, was made especially for me, without it (it's the one thing I absolutely detest) and if I hadn't been in public, I would have licked my plate. Fancy some Chinese or Thai grub? Well we did so we went to the Cotton House. It was my first time there, the wife had already checked out the place a few times before with her crew and raved about it so a table for four was booked for a couple nite out. The place was mobbed when we got there, always a good sign in a restaurant I think. Even though it was busy we were served quickly and the service for the rest of the night was great. The starters were Dim Sum (pork dumplings) Salt & Pepper Sqiud & Chicken Satay, everyone liked their starters but the Satay was the best (my choice). On to the main courses, Special Curry for Big Dave, he loves his curries and this one went down a treat.The wifes had Panaege Beef & Panaeng Chicken which had been recommended, both loved it and the freshness of the ingredients really made the meals, I tend to go for something a bit diffrent off the menu (sometimes its a disaster though) so I went for the Thai Sensation Chicken, when it came it just looked a bit like lemon chicken, no sparklers no fanfair...nothing. Whats so sensational about this I though? Oh no I've picked a binger here, my wife smiled at me with the old "that sevres you right " look. All my worries were gone as soon as I tucked into my meal, it was fresh, very very tasty with a bit of a kick to it and also very light. We did'nt get any desserts but we had a few drinks each and the bill was just over £90 for 4 people which I thought was great value. I will definitely be going back. read more
