Their take aways are more popular and at lunchtime the place is full of school kids ordering chips and curry sauce which I think they still charge a £1 for. This restaurant is above the pub (shut down recently) and I've often wondered why they don't extend downstairs i.e. buy the pub, this would give them more space. The stairs up to Yang Sing are quite tight and can be slippy in winter. The take away side is good though you can be waiting a while for your food. Prices are similar to other take aways in Whitburn, but when ordering seafood the portions here are smaller and in the past they've given me prawns instead of king prawns and charged me the extra.

It stocks the usual chinese take away food but also some speciality peking and mandarin style dishes. The staff are friendly and helpful and their portions are huge. Even for the seafood dishes you get lots (including king prawn dishes) where as in my experience in other places they tend to skimp on this. Nothing is ever any bother and if you want a special order then its no trouble (i.e. no onions or extra pineapple etc). I've never had to wait long when going in to the shop to get my meal, the longest I've waited is about 20 minutes and there is usually some newspapers on the counter to read and the tv is normally on. They do deliver and the average wait if you're in the Whitburn area is about 45 minutes.
