    BAKLAVA Cheesecake.

Desserts. EXCELLENT. Both the Baklava and Galaktoboureko Cheesecakes were PHENOMENAL. One of the BEST Cafes around without the Social Media hype. RECOMMEND.

Oasis Cafe is honestly the best part of LIC. With their classic modern day atmosphere, it all feels comfortable. I've tried most of their sweet treats and if you're a sweet tooth looking for your next obsession, their desserts are delicious. I've tried their lemon and raspberry treats which were stellar. Come check this place out!

Tried the peach green tea refresher and can confirm it is very refreshing! Wasn't too sweet but had a ton of flavor. Drinks like this are always a hit or miss for me but this was delicious! Would totally try another

Adding this little bakery cafe to Yelp! I stopped by yesterday when I saw the brightly lit store in the evening when I was in the neighborhood and the baked goods looked really enticing. From some googling it looks like they are the latest location of a well-established bakery with a few locations in Astoria and Manhattan. On my way back from my errand I also noticed the sign for grand opening promotion free drink with purchase of an entremet/petit gateau cake so I thought, why not? It was hard to decide because honestly all the options looked good. In addition to the petit gateau style cakes, they had a few Mediterranean-influenced desserts like baklava, orange cake and I think knafeh(?), and single layered cake slices. Aesthetically would give 4.2/5 and value for the price 5/5. Staff was friendly, when I asked, they shared what the texture was inside a couple of the cakes. Maybe it was because they just opened but there were no prices listed for the petit gateaux and other items, the staff explained they range from $5.95 to $9.95 each. I didn't ask how much the entire cakes were. For the drink that came with the promotion, I got the maple cinnamon matcha (normally $5.95) since it looked like a pretty unique combination and I really loved it! The slight spice of the cinnamon and sweetness of the maple went well with the grassy bitterness of the matcha. I never would've guessed those flavors could work together, so glad I took a risk and tried it! The cakes I'm sharing with a couple friends later, so will be updating this review to keep everyone posted. *EDIT: shared the cakes with friends and they loved them, especially the Chocolate Perfection $8.95 - the chocolate mousse was light, creamy and not too sweet, and the crunchy bits on the outside plus cocoa cookie base added a nice texture. The Pistachio Cake $7.95 was good too, lighter in flavor--mostly a mousse cake with a little bit of regular cake inside on a shortbread cookie. The space is small so aside from a narrow counter against one wall, there's not a place to sit. Definitely a takeout place, unless you are there for a quick coffee or snack. No bathrooms.

Very cute new dessert cafe in the area! A bit pricey, the drink menu was not available when we went, and the service was a little slow, but I'm excited to come back when they are fully settled as they are so cute. I liked the variety of desserts they had, with most still being available in the evening. They were all so yummy and a lot bigger than you'd think so try to get couple and share with friends!! Welcome to LIC~

I stopped by this cafe during their Grand Opening promo (which I noticed through a sign on the street). Located right off of Vernon Blvd, this cafe is open until 12-1AM and offers not only great drinks but also cakes. They don't really have seating inside, but they do have some tables outside! I got their cloud foam macchiato, pistachio latte, and two of their cakes: the carrot cake and the napoleon cake. Everything was great! I loved their cloud foam macchiato and would definitely come back just for that. Their coffee is amazing. I also thought their cakes were good (definitely leaned on the REALLY sweet side, but I mean, it's cake haha). Would love to try their other desserts!

Simply the best pastries and sweets in LIC. We loved all the pies and pastries that we tried; they look as good as they taste! The iced coffee is good too, although we will have to wait for the cool weather to have their hot drinks. The only down side is the price which is more than Starbucks. But for the quality it's worth it. The service is hit or miss but they seem to hire young teens so that is probably to be expected.

So excited to have this dessert bar in the neighborhood - it's the perfect addition! Love the cute decor and the amazing variety, from the baklava cheesecake to the savory sandwiches. Seating's a bit limited, but this is definitely my new go-to spot.

New bakery Cafe in LIC, first day opening today 2/22/2025. I was very impressed from what I saw, for a first day opening it well stocked as if they been open for months. First impressions is everything and I appreciated that they were well prepared. The desserts look delectable and fresh. I tried the pistachio baklava and it was divine! Located one block from the 7 train, extremely convenient. They are open 7:30am - 12am Sunday- Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7:30am- 1am, I know, I know, amazing isn't it? I'm looking forward to try their array of treats and the sandwiches! Welcome to LIC !

The Oasis Cafe has several locations, and I appreciate the well-designed decor and the grab-and-go concept. There are a few tables and chairs outside, which is nice for a quick stop. I was grateful that the staff provided napkins, forks, and even packed everything neatly in a small box. I decided to try four different desserts, but unfortunately, I was really disappointed. Everything was overly sweet, much sweeter than what you'd typically find in the neighborhood. While I do appreciate the extended hours (as many cafes close earlier), the level of sweetness was a bit concerning, especially for my kids. I hope that in the future, there will be options with less sugar to cater to a wider range of tastes. Overall, I think there's potential, but I'd love to see a more balanced selection of treats.

So we all got the early bird special with came with an app, an entree and a dessert all for 32$ which wasn't bad at all. I chose the lobster salad roll for my app, and the chicken Milanese with a rice side and the rainbow cake for dessert. The portions were the best part of our dining experience, as we all left stuffed and wowed by how affordable the meal was. Walking in there is a newness to the bar and adjacent dining areas as they renovated somewhat recently. We were able to be seated right away on a Saturday night for dinner and sat in the bar dining room. Beer is served cold and their cocktails are nicely made. We went for the shell steaks with a salad added on. The salad arrived first and was a fairly large portion. Fresh and tasty. The steaks arrived looking good. My steak was actually perfectly cooked, it was just on the bland side. I don't know why they don't season their steaks much, if at all. Fries were not really hot and the shoe string fries, were different than the fries they used to have. Well cooked veggies were also served along with the steak. It would have been 4 stars if things were season properly. Service is still on the slow side, so a quick meal typically isn't possible. All in all Austin's Ale House is a neighborhood staple, that could really be wonderfully with some more attention to flavors.

The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. They didn't mention it when we made a reservation and when we entered the restaurant, there were maybe about five table tables that were not occupied by the event. We completely understood the fact that the wait staff was also serving the event, and expected delays in service. When our waiter came over to apologize for not being as attentive as he felt he could have been, we told him we completely understand not a problem. That being said, and even giving him the benefit of the doubt, we did not feel like welcomed guests at this restaurant. The attitude towards us asking questions about the menu, being indecisive about menu items seemed to put him completely off. We asked a question about one of the appetizers and he gave us a snarky answer. When it came time for dessert, we ordered an Affogato, which wasn't on the menu, but assuming it was an espresso with ice cream, didn't mention our allergy to nuts. When the cup came out, the rim of the cup was lined with chocolate and a mix of nuts. All we did was mention at that point that we had a food allergy, which clearly displeased our waiter greatly and when we asked for a different one without nuts on it, his attitude changed drastically. We finished up, paid the bill, left a normal tip and when we said good night to the waiter, he didn't so much as even say good night or thank us for coming - nothing at all. Now I'm one to believe you never know what someone is going through and I'm very sorry if he was having a bad day but it kind of put a damper on our dining this evening. The food itself was good but the overall experience left a bad in our mouths.

It's absolutely amazing, and the filling is very generous--it feels like heaven in every bite. Another favorite of mine is the chocolate layer cake: rich, velvety smooth chocolate that isn't overly sweet. The only thing I don't agree with is that they do not clearly tell customers that dining in adds an extra $1 charge to each item. Yes, check your receipt. I'm expected to tip my waitstaff and also pay an extra dollar per item just because I chose to dine in. For example, the cupcake is usually $4.75 to go, but they charged me an extra $1 for dining in. Their cake slices are usually $9.50 to go, but I was charged $10.50. I also tipped 20%, so the added charge felt frustrating, especially since there was no clear notice. When I asked the waitstaff about the $1 charge, she said it was entered that way because I dined in. When I later called about it, the manager simply said, "Next time, just order to go if you don't want to be charged extra." That response was disappointing, especially since there was no visible sign explaining this policy, and their dine-in menu does not show separate pricing. I really think management should fix this to avoid misleading customers. Transparency matters. Don't get me wrong--I would still come back because their cakes are amazing, but from now on, I'll always order everything to go.

With that said, my whole family and many of my friends all agree that their best item is the Berry Napoleon. That is the one cake that I do enjoy from this shop. We often buy a whole cake for a group gathering or birthdays. As for dining in, there's always a lot of people inside the store and it gets a bit loud.
