The Oaks kitchen & Bar is located in a well to do residential neighborhood. When you first enter the restaurant you instantly get the feeling, that you have just entered into a very snooty sophisticated members only establishment. But right away, you learn your assumptions were completely unjustified. The place does have a sophisticated look, but the staff (especially Crysta amazing person) and the patrons are not snooty at all. This place is a spot you can come and relax at the beautiful bar, or even enjoy a wonderful meal in the dining area. There's also outside dining, if you prefer to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. Quesadilla- (chicken) Nice size portions that is loaded with chicken, cheese, onions. This dish even though it's listed in the appetizer section, can be enough for some to have as a dinner entree. Crab cakes- what a delicious dish... crab cake is made moist and had such a nice flavor to it. Always enjoyed a crab cake that was made with, the right amount of crab meat and stuffing. Lobster ravioli (4pcs)- one of the most important things about lobster ravioli is the cream sauce. The Oak got that right hands down. You don't get a huge piece of lobster tail. But what you get is quite reasonable. Crispy chicken sandwich- I always love when a sandwich has a nice soft chewing bun, and this sandwich has that. On top of that the chicken was crispy and not greasy. The fresh toppings was a great addition to this dish. Braised short rib- Beef was very tender and was seasoned good. I would've enjoyed this entree even more, if it came with a (wine) sauce from the braising. Also, the mash potatoes could've been more whipped, with a touch of sour cream as a ingredient. Dessert- Cheesecake, apple pie egg rolls, crème brûlée, and the toffee cake. All was OMG level in taste, size and presentation.

Great atmosphere, food has gone down hill big time as well as management. Ordered a lobster pot pie, was served a crappy substitute. I politely spoke with the manager, he basically said I didn't know what I was talking about, argued with me and walked off. Very unprofessional!! Service was beyond slow, they were very understaffed. Not the servers fault, I blame management! 15+ minutes after being sat, we finally had someone come by. One restaurant employee replied to my fb post defending their lobster as it is Langostino, which is not lobster! If you want to go somewhere and wait way too long for food that is fake and false then by all means go to the oaks. If you want to dine somewhere where they deliver what you order and you want to be treated with some humanity, go elsewhere!

Super nice family place, can always have date night here as well. Sitting outside is refreshing huge outside space filled with trees and backyard feel. Drinks were great have the blueberry martini. In the heart of cane island. Must try. Parking lot for parking

Cute little restaurant in a very cute little neighborhood welcome center. The staff are pretty friendly and the food is pretty decent. I do wish that they had more vegetarian options though. I got the Quinoa Salad, it was a very hearty meal and left me quite full. The bowl was full of delicious superfoods - definitely one of the healthier options available. My only complaint about this place is that it was freezing inside - I never took of my coat because it was quite chilly.

Indoor and outdoor seating in a beautiful residential area with beautiful scenery? Look no further than The Oaks Kitchen & Bar! Let's get right into the food! That's what we are here for right? Lol The Pork Belly Appetizer was so good! What's in it? Glad you asked! Crispy braised pork belly, served over scalloped potatoes topped with Onion rings and their homemade bbq sauce made with beets and beer according to our server. It was delish!! 9/10 My hubby had the BBQ Bacon Burger. This burger has smoked gouda, bacon, crispy onion strings, pickled jalapeños and bbq sauce. He enjoyed it. Gave it an 8/10 Our server was very nice, knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely return to try other items on the menu Note: If you are heading there on a Monday, they are closed! Open Tues-Thurs 11-9 Fri/Sat 11-10 and Sun 10-3 This is a great place for a meal after church.

Pros: Outdoor seating. Pleasant waiter. Stuff drinks. Cons: Oaks lost our reservation (which we placed twice). Literally hundreds of flies. (They give you a literal machine at your table to keep them at bay). The food is definitely not worth the money. Apple pie eggrolls we're absolutely frozen in the middle, steaks were burned when ordered M/W....but the chicken parm turned out decent. Shame. Place has a lot of potential. May try it again in the future, but it was a lot to process on the first visit....even after dropping several hundred dollars there. I mean....screwing up the reservation twice is a red flag, and that was just our introduction lol. Also, I need someone to explain to me why there are a level of flies in (yes "In" the restaurant too) that haven't been seen since the filming of "The Exorcist").

Date Day with my honey! He surprised me with a new eatery and so glad to have stopped by The Oaks. We started off with the Hummus the order the Chicken Sandwich, chicken gumbo, and the Margherita Pizza! We devoured our delicious meal and had wonderful service throughout our time at The Oaks. What a wonderful surprise, we can't wait to come back and try other items off the menu.

A Beautifully appointed space but the food is rather bland. Friendly yet slow service. I wish the food tasted as good as it looked.

Great food and they have bottomless mimosas. My wife loves this place. The steak and eggs combo was great. Our server was very attentive and had some pretty good recommendations. The place itself is very open with plenty of seating. They close a little early so be sure to get there before 3pm.

Let's start with the good. The place is very nice and super cute. My husband said his margarita was good. Our waitress was nice. The BBQ burger was okay but nothing great. Now on to all the bad. Parking is awful. You need to get there 10 mins or more before your reservation just to circle and circle to find a spot. When I walked in I was ignored and had to till my head in front of the girls face for her to speak to me. She apologized and said she was trying to figure things out. We had a reservation at 630 and got sat after 645. When another group was there and they had a reservation at 645 and were sat before us. My husband will eat pretty much anything and thought the shrimp tacos were the worst he's ever had. Even if he doesn't care for a meal he will still eat it because he doesn't want it to go to waste but he wouldn't even finish the tacos. He said they were so plain and had no flavor to them. I got the rum punch and it was so bad. It tasted like cleaning product. My sweet potato fries were undercooked which was a disappointment.

The smell alone would make anyone salivate, but they're even better when you see how big their cookies are. We don't come to this part of Katy that often, but we were in the area for another event. We showed up a little too early so we ended up stopping here out of curiosity and to kill a little time. This was seriously the best place we could have stumbled upon. We ordered their box of 6 cookies. I'll rank them #1 - 6 in order from best to "worst." There really is no "worst" cookie because they're all amazing, but if I HAD to choose this would be the order. #1 Creme brulee. #2 Peanut butter supreme. #3 Cookie butter. #4 Pumpkin chocolate chip. #5 Double chocolate. #6 Chocolate chip. No matter what you order here though, you're guaranteed to like their cookies. They even have Keto/Gluten Free cookies for those who can't have the regular versions. We'll for sure be back again soon, especially to try more of their rotating cookies of the week flavors. Enjoy!

They had about 8 to 10 different types of cookies available to purchase. I purchased four cookies and I must say one is better than the other. I got the celebration, which is chips inside and sprinkles all over the top and other stuff inside of it. I also got a chocolate chip cookie and oatmeal raisin and a s'mores. You can smell the cookies in the box while you're driving home trying not to open it. So I got home and I tried the cookies and they are beyond amazing. Each cookie is huge and filled with goodness from start to finish. They are warm and fresh and extremely tasty. Their prices are very good for what you get. I absolutely love their cookies and I wish them lots of success in their adventure. So I will tell you, run don't walk to taste some of the best cookies you have ever had in your life. You will not be disappointed in the ingredients inside and you will not be disappointed how big they are and how yummy they are. I give this place 100% thumbs up .
