I wouldn't recommend this location or plan to repeat service here. My experience: I scheduled a 25 minute massage (with $20 deep tissue and $30 cupping up-charge). I ended up getting 15 minutes of the massage (without the cupping) since I was 5 minutes late to the appointment. The total cost for the massage ended up being $85 (or $5 per minute) and I had to ask for the cupping to be removed from the bill since I didn't receive the service. In my opinion, this cost or practice is not a good value for the service provided to me. Additionally, it wasn't a great massage but 15 minutes is a short time to make that happen-- in my opinion it was the equivalent of a mall massage in quality and quantity. I've visited many of the NOW locations in Chicago, and Alondra P. was the best masseuse I've had at any of the NOW locations, and probably the best masseuse I've come across anywhere! I came out of my 80 minute signature massage with hot stones feeling better than I have in months, due to various injuries and ailments. She listened to the areas that needed working on and repeated them back to me. Her technique was top notch! Then entrance is bright and sunny with white walls and tan decor.Then you go into the back, where it's dimly lit, with peaceful sounds, and big tall white drapes bound by rope. Jayda was a great masseuse. I appreciated her pressure, communication, and she was the first person to ever actually stretch my body thoroughly when booking "The Stretch" massage. However, I am not sure I would return. For starters, the facility uses a separate tipping mechanism that charges you a fee. It's absurd to pass the fee on to the consumer and it was not disclosed which was super annoying. I might have seen cash envelopes on the side but that was not verbally confirmed or shared as an option by the front desk. Secondly, in LA the same facility had a chart you'd fill out where you can circle what you wanted to focus on and more importantly what you did not want touched. This was a great communicative tool because once you step into the facility, the masseuse is whispering because they're trying to maintain quiet (as they should) but it makes it harder to hear them and they're taking you out of the moment to confirm if they can touch your glutes, scalp, face etc. As other reviews have mentioned, there is a burlap sack that separates the "rooms" which isn't the worst but it's odd. There's also no separate changing room so if your neighbor is clumsy and inconsiderate you might hear them during your session. If you're in a pinch, it's worth a try. I won't say I'd never be back but I am searching for more spa-like services. read more

I'll put a TLDR at the bottom. I got ( THE STRECH) and THE SCALP TREATMENT. This came up to $175 without tax or tip. I've had massages done before by professionals, so I'm aware how these massages are done. The staff is welcoming but they're not very clear when explaining what you'll be doing. I was here yesterday with a friend and I really wish there was more to the massage for what I paid. I do have to admit we arrived 5 minutes late and I understand that shortens your appointment, which was more than okay with me, but I also got a scalp treatment. What they don't tell you is that scalp treatment is included in the 50 minutes you reserved, which doesn't seem fair. I'm pretty disappointed with my service as well because although the staff and massage therapists are nice, and the place itself is very clean, there was different treatment done to me and my friend even when we got the SAME massage. She told me her massager did really good by going deep and cracking her back and shoulders, but mine didn't do so. My friend and I were disappointed by the scalp massage because it was only adding and massaging oils to your scalp, which was $20. In that case I would've rather done it myself at home. TLDR: In my opinion, the service wasn't worth the pay or time. If you want to come here for the aesthetic then yes, but for professional service, probably not. read more

I really wanted a relaxation type massage. I selected light/medium pressure. When we started on shoulders and the masseuse asked if the pressure was ok, it was. However, on bigger muscles such as legs, arms they really went much deeper and it became much more of a therapeutic deep tissue type pressure which- while I'm sure is good for me overall- has left me sore, and really hurt during the process. I should have probably said something, but I figured I'd go with it to get the benefit of deeper tissue massage. I already couldn't really relax as the sound level which couldn't be adjusted was WAY too loud. The oil used left me really sticky. I showered as soon as I got home, and when I went to bed, I can still feel it on my legs. I, personally, cannot stand that. I also agree with another reviewer who mentioned the odd burlap type room separation vs. real walls being not relaxing. I think if you are looking for deep tissue, you'd like this place, but for me - this was not the relaxing experience I really wanted. I also feel like the add-on's I added were not really worth it- $200 for 80 mins and I feel frustrated vs relaxed. read more

I've been getting massages for over 10 years, have been a member of another massage company for over 6 years - going consistently consistently. One Friday morning there were zero openings for a massage that night and I'm last minute based on my work schedule for when I can book massages. So I looked elsewhere and saw the now. And the first massage I got there- in the south loop- not kidding I asked to sign up for the 80 mins a month on the spot without them even asking because of how great the experience was. So I went back for the second time today but to the west loop location just based on schedule, and I left saying the same thing again- that it was the best massage of my life. I've had massages with both Erin and Samantha and you can't go wrong with booking with either one. The vibe and ambiance is amazing so calming, the music and atmosphere is welcoming and a complete chill vibe. After my massage I always feel better and have a mental and physical reset which I'm grateful for. Fraudulent business practices and bank fraud! They charged my card $160 AFTER cancelling my scheduled appointment on their end. When I called to "reschedule" it they said they were fully booked and that I'd have to get a refund through my bank. LOL. Do not give these people your card information, they legit admitted to fraud on the phone so clearly they aren't getting legitimate massage appointments and rely on charging people who provide their card info. read more

Massage section looked kind of odd at first but once you got into you area it felt really nice, clean, and calm. The waves playing over the speakers were annoying at first but felt soothing during the massage. Went in for some real bad neck pain. Got The Now with the Herbal heat wrap which really helped with my pain. My massage therapist Alaya was really good. Writing my first review because it was that bad. Honestly the worst massage and customer service experience to date of any massage studio. My massage started late and was terrible. Before going back, she asked my focus areas and pressure level. I said focus on neck and shoulders only and firm. She spent less than 5 minutes if the 80 minute massage on my neck. The pressure was light, verging on uncomfortable and ticklish on the legs and feet. I told her repeatedly to use more pressure and nothing changed. There was also a man across from me speaking loudly enough that I could hear his entire conversation with his therapist. Not relaxing... We were charged for our two massages on the card we booked with. Great, no problem. We then were each charged an additional 20+% by their Tippy system. Mind you, we were tipping separately and the desk person charged each of us $66 for tip (which the system said was 20%- it's not 20% of the service charge). I realized we spent over $110 in tips upon leaving and called them. I was called back by Juan who claimed to be the Director of Operations for the company. He left a voicemail and has failed to return my three voicemails in return. The last call he sent to voicemail on the 3rd ring. Do NOT go here unless you want to waste your money and get horrendous service and customer support. I truly regret it. read more
