Ever notice that they ignore online orders when they are having a big sale (31% off for example)? I've had multiple orders placed early (~0930am) and simply ignored for the entire day over several sales they had this year. The orders are never filled. Try calling a few times and of course no one ever answers. I took my business to Ike's. They have 30% off sales and actually fill the online orders within a very short amount of time. read more

I really like The Novel Tree. See here's the thing, I can't indulge in this product due to my employer's rules but I have friends who can and who enjoy it. So I will seek it out as a gift. I have to say it makes for a more interesting gift for holidays and birthdays than a gift card. The Novel Tree is nice for several reasons. The parking is deceptively good. Even if the main lot is full there's plenty of street parking. The space is nice - it's open, airy, with nice lighting. Some shops I've been to have odd lighting. The architecture is nice - the wood theme makes it feel relaxing. They also have computer pads to browse their inventory if you know what you're looking for. But I don't. I can't partake and I have a lot going on to fill my head with info that will not serve me. And this is why I like these people the best - their service is stellar. I go in and rattle off some adjectives on what my friends enjoy, the budtenders ask me a few questions back, then they give a few suggestions which I always ask what they prefer. I walk away with a gift and everyone is happy. These employees know their product and have made great recommendations. The product must be good because my friends always tell me later how happy they were with it. Usually they rave to me later and seem genuinely excited and I like it when my friends are happy! I'm updating my review to 4 stars, since their inventory now includes a more competitive selection. I also appreciate how welcoming and knowledgable a lot of the new staff members are. You can usually gauge turnover rate/company culture of a rec shop by asking the door man questions about products and promotions. A lot of dispensaries have employees checking ID who have no clue about any of the products the shop is offering. Every person working the door at this dispensary has relatively extensive knowledge, comparable to most bud tenders. Bottom line, The Novel Tree has always been more expensive than most other shops on the east side....but I guess that's the premium of having a rec/med shop that sources from medical growers and processors. 9 minutes ago BE AWARE!!!! Check your weight with a digital scale, I was shorted 2.5 g. When buying 2 oz. I gave them $338. One was on point and the other one was off. I talk to the store manager Trica. She told me I could get 500 points which equals 25%off my next purchase or I could come in today and get the 30% off. The problem is that I just gave them over 300 dollars the previous day and they owe me. I don't want to give them any more money, I don't think that's fair. I simply asked her to give me 2.5 grams or give me the cash amount different in the oz. Which was about 14 dollar or full refund. She refused and told me there's nothing to she could do but theses two options. Im going to simply use my powers and write reviews and recommend the reef or the potzone to everyone that goes there. Budtender was in a bit of a rush and wasn't particularly helpful (the lady checking IDs at the door was a lot more helpful) even though the shop wasn't busy. I like to be able to browse the options, and most of it was behind the counter not that easy to view. Also, realized when we got home that one of our 3g buds had been packaged more than 14 months ago. I realize it's vacuum sealed, but that isn't impressive. Was in the market for a higher CBD bud, but perhaps would have been better to hit the medicinal-focused attachment next door. Today I decided to make my own edible and visited this scam store, I said I wanna make a cake to what she said (customer rep) that the product in the picture down below is good for cooking purposes. After reading things on the package where it says *DO NOT EAT FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY, I asked her a question about it, she advised to not pay attention to it because from what she knows and according to her experience no one died from eating it. I was okay with that at first but later I went online to double check, then I find out that this product is additive to your shampoo, gel, cream and conditioner. I felt really disrespected and called them right away, after some bla bla it turns out they do not except their own mistakes and products, no exchanges or refund. Both customer rep and manager disrespected me even more saying I could apply it on my skin as if I was a junkie. Rude, misleading, not professional store and workers, products are basically chinese trash. Not going back here anymore and not reccomending it to others. The very first bud tender I met was Matt, who impressed me with his knowledge of all thing marijuana and how it could be used to help my pain. One of the first things he told me was that there were no stupid questions and he's patiently answered all my questions ever since. Josh is another great employee. He always has new products to recommend and I've had many good conversations with him about tough topics. His respect for others goes a long ways with me. The variety of product on both the rec and medical side is impressive. There is always something new to try. I appreciate the fact that if say I didn't like a certain product the staff doesn't take offense, they keep working with me until we find something that works. My only complaint is that sometimes I can't get what I want because they are out of it and it can take awhile to get more. But this does give me the opportunity to try something else. This is the 1st time I have ever been into a "pot shop" and I am really glad that I chose this one. First off, it is a super nice location inside. Doesn't feel shady/seedy or any of that. It is still weird walking into a legal pot shop. They did a great job with making it look super nice. They will have you get with one of the clerks and they have their menu's and will give you recommendations based on what you are looking for. The women I worked with was Ally I want to say (so sorry if I am wrong). She was amazing. Super informative and helpful. I couldn't have asked for better information. This is the only shop that I have seen that will post their prices online and they are very reasonable for non off the street stuff. I dig it. You know you are getting fresh product and where it is coming from. They have edibles, vapor and some really nice glass pieces in there as well. Cheaper pipes and then some expensive ones.
