    So good omg

One of the best ciders I've ever had in my life! Creamy yet not too sweet and the havdalah spices gave it a kick but wasn't too spicy. Super yummy quiche and carrot cake, service was phenomenal and I felt very welcomed. Such a cute cozy lil spot and pretty spacious. Dog friendly. Would definitely come back when I'm in those parts :) wish they were in my hood!

    THE Tomato Sandwich!

Tomato sandwich goes so hard....incredibly juicy and perfectly seasoned. Hard to eat in the best way, I was deliriously slurping. Seasonal pastry (fig & cream cheese) was delicious too! My iced matcha was perfect. I believe the owners helped me and they were so incredibly warm and welcoming! Spots like this are so hard to come by. It's authentically local and so SOMA. Absolutely darling inside with a refreshing vibe. If you find yourself walking Folsom, I cannot recommend Nosh Box enough.

Incredible house made carrot cake. Super dense. $8.

I have a few go to in my neighborhood, for coffee and snacks, but the Nosh Box is really taking it to another level. Super friendly owners, great service, great coffee, and amazing house made food. Their carrot cake is off the charts, and I'm slowly getting through the breakfasts which have all been Amazing.

Delicious and interesting!! The cafe itself is so pretty, and the amazing servers make it feel very homely. Really interesting peach toast, spicy with ricotta and olive oil. I loved it! Also a very well balanced lavender matcha, if not a little small. Overall, gorgeous cafe, good people, interesting food!!

List of fun December 2025 after hours events at The Nosh Box!

I attended an after hours Queer Soup Night at The Nosh Box, benefitting TACT, and everything was amazing! The 3 soups, an egg drop soup, matzah ball soup, and vegan white bean soup were all absolutely delicious! Nosh Box owners Stephen and Edwin were cheerful and welcoming. There were lots of wine offerings, and my mouth was watering looking at the baked sweets. The space is open and homey, offering places to sit or stand while eating soup and drinking coffee, wine, cider or water, and it did fill up, but did not feel overcrowded. There was a sign on the wall listing a variety of fun after hours events. I highly recommend The Nosh Box and I'll definitely go back and bring my friends!

Cardamom chocolate chip cookie was delicious albeit pricey for $5. But the cappuccino was completely cold.

    Latte and avocado toast

What an oasis on Folsom Street a class act, spacious, warm and inviting. The staff and owners are appreciative and welcoming, easy to chat with and always happy to explain things I ordered a latte with one of their special sweeteners which they can't remember but they also have another that's in lavender. I also went for the avocado toast in Boy. This is a very meaty avocado toast. I was curious about the white bean foundation of it, but it actually played well with all the additional oregano and spices they put on the toast. It was definitely meaty in the sense that you get half of an avocado and it was to perfection on a very good base of Artisan bread. They have so much on offer here and they do rotate and have special items that I can't even begin as I kind of followed this place as it begin as a pop-up so they do have a great assortment of pastries I believe of savory and sweet and I also overheard they have quiche. I wanted to drop by as I had time during the day, but it is a central location and not too far for a walk the decoration the location the decor is surrounded by lots of restaurants for a morning destination. This is one of a kind. I do recommend it, and I will be coming back more and more.

A new eatery has opened in the western SoMa 'hood -- The Nosh Box. So, of course, we had to try it out. All the pastries are lovingly made from scratch, served by the bakers/owners themselves. Their produce is fresh and locally sourced. Our home brunch totalled about $40. We're still debating if that price tag is the 'new norm' or still qualifies as a splurge. Everything we sampled was tasty. My partner rates the cookie as his favorite today; my vote goes for the heirloom tomato sando.

The people were really nice but the food was very expensive and the matcha tasted like pure oat milk

    Fig toast
    Michael E.

Dropped in yesterday to try out the new place. One thing that surprised me: their online menu appeared to be mostly on the sweet side (cookies, scones, etc.) but when I was there in person they also had a variety of savory options. I tried the avocado toast (awesome!), spanish tortilla (quite nice), and the fig toast (amazing!). It was all quite delicious. After those three items, I was quite full. I look forward to going back to try the rest of the menu.

Enjoyed my decaf latte in a real cup at one of their tables. I didn't sample their "noshing" menu, so will have to return for that.

Located in the legendary Mission District of San Francisco, this wine bar is a great spot to catch up with friends and enjoy small bites and yummy crafted cocktails. Their decor is very chic and I especially loved all of the hardware, glasses, tables, and benches. This place was styled by a great design artist. Even though the place was pretty packed and can be kind of noisy, I still felt very calm amongst all the healthy plants and loved the sophisticated 70s inspired glassware. Another great feature of this place is that you can buy most of the plants because they have some for sale so after a couple of cocktails, I was ready to redecorate my whole house with all the plants. I ordered a yummy Rose blend that was super crisp. Also enjoyed the Truffle Fungi! A delicious Shiitake and oyster mushrooms with parmesan and arugula on toasted bread. Their Spanish inspired potatoes were delicious with their dipping sauce. They have lots of gatherings there and DJ sets on the weekends. Lastly, a photographer would die to take pictures here. There is no bad shot as the design artist made sure every section of this cute wine bar was picture perfect. Loved all my photos and videos. I look forward to returning to this exquisite wine bar!

I love the decor of this space! It is definitely intentionally and tastefully decorated. Loved the lighting and plants. They had Lord of the Rings playing on the wall. The vibe is artsy, warm, a little dark, and overall a cool place to mingle. The bathrooms and tables were kept clean. I liked it that the DJ was live mixing. Getting a drink was fast and easy. The high top tables were a bit wobbly, so we spilled half a drink on there. The drinks are strong. I recommend going upstairs to sit instead if you want to hear your friends better. The tables are bigger up there too. The rooftop was closed off but I'd like to check it out sometime.

Cilantro?thyme?) or some arugula, something to balance it out. Would be best to come with someone else (if you have someone to go with you, I didn't) and share more dishes, I think. The marinated artichokes were good, not amazing, but a large portion and pleasant enough. I wish they had more veggies or a salad option. The seats are not comfortable, this is not a place to come and relax with a book. The parklet seating is nicely sheltered from the breeze, but can be noisy. The music, outdoor setting, and service are all good. Flatbread was lovely and soft when hot, hardens to a crispy cracker when it cools. The Woody's sparkling N.A. rosé was a bit flat (flavor wise). I've had better ones (especially for the price). I'd definitely come back with a friend or a date. It was a depressing spot for dining solo, and it would be hard to come here with a bigger group.

The people were laughing, the drinks were flowing. It smelled really good, which we would later find out was from the food especially that Mac and cheese. We started off with different wines, some that Tom recommended based on what we told him we didn't like or did like. He apologized for our previous experience and was genuinely a nice guy. Honestly it's very admirable for a business owner to take feedback to heart and want to incorporate it. Plus he's a really cool guy when you get to know him. The staff was busy running around but still made time to come check on us. Our final verdict is we came on a bad day. This time we got the actual Waystone experience. We finally got to try the chicken bites with a creamy aioli, fries with yogurt sauce, and the star of the show was the Mac and cheese. Everyone who works here is warm, funny, and present in a way that makes you feel like you belong, whether it's your first visit or your 50th. Live jazz nights here are their own kind of therapy. I once saw a harpist who made me feel like I was floating inside the music. No cover, no pressure, just ridiculously good musicians making the whole place glow. One thing I love: the rotating local art. The walls change every so often as new artists take over, and it completely shifts the energy of the space. You might not love every piece, but that's kind of the point--it's alive, it's personal, and it's supporting real artists in SF. And if you do love something, you can take it home (yep, everything's for sale). Whether you're here for the jazz, the wine, the art, or the people.. waystone shows up with soul.
