In the end, they charged me for three full nights. The front desk service was unbelievably terrible. If you come here hoping to resolve a problem, be prepared for a masterclass in obstruction and condescension. The staff repeatedly changed their position over and over again. First, I was told I could not switch rooms at the original rate and would have to pay extra. The explanation kept shifting, depending on the moment. The process felt less like customer service and more like being dragged in circles for someone else's entertainment. Clear answers were impossible to get. Consistency did not exist. After being worn down by the constant back-and-forth, I finally gave up and booked another hotel. Only then was I suddenly told that switching rooms at the original rate was possible after all. Amazing how policies become flexible once a guest is exhausted enough to walk away. I will never return to this hotel again. And I strongly advise others to think twice before booking here. Be prepared to experience what it feels like to be treated with arrogance and condescension, as if the staff believe they are doing you a favor simply by acknowledging you. You will pay good money only to have your time wasted and your patience tested. As a guest, you expect respect and professionalism -- not humiliation and needless frustration. There are plenty of hotels that understand what hospitality actually means. This is not one of them.

Although there were…read moremany options, I chose this place because it was only an hour from our destination--and honestly, it was a random pick. They offer breakfast, have a gym, and had good reviews. Luckily, we checked in early thanks to availability. The weather in Palo Alto was cool, so we didn't use much AC, though it was a bit loud at times, it wasn't an issue. The gym had enough machines for a solid workout, and breakfast was great; eggs, sausage, hash browns, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, and a filtered water fountain. The bathroom felt a bit old-school, but small touches like cotton balls, Q-tips, a Keurig in each room, shampoo, conditioner, and cute mugs made it cozy. The area felt safe and quiet, with restaurants within walking distance. Overall, a great spot for a night or two!

As you walk down the palm tree lined passage from the ample FREE parking to the lobby, you become immersed in this Greek isle sanctuary. All of the staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room on the second floor was beautiful. Loved the bathroom with smart mirror for defogging, and the square rain fall shower head was luxurious. I enjoyed the outdoor lounge with fire pit, ping pong table, and "pedalitas" you can borrow. Next time I will bring my e-bike to enjoy the bike/walking trail right off the parking lot. The FREE breakfast was great, especially liked their coffee machine! Who needs Starbucks (across the street), when you can make your own cafe mocha or espresso, in their breakfast room. They used to have a "wine hour", but not any more-sad face. But you can buy your own wine and snacks at their snack shop, and enjoy it in their outdoor lounge. I will be back!

No closet, no extra blanket, bare walls, white curtains (no way to block out the sun). The only redeeming quality looked like the shower but the water pressure was sparse and the floor felt cheaply done, as it creaked and moved. I was hoping breakfast would help after a night of crappy sleep because you can hear the traffic all night, and again, wildly disappointed. They had one option for protein - one. A feta cheese spinach egg burrito. No fresh eggs or bacon like another review had. The burrito was ok, but I couldn't keep eating the overcooked liquid egg after a while. My husband said they were ok but I couldn't eat the tortilla to cover up the overcooked taste. They have an espresso machine and my husband said that was good. The bed was actually comfortable. It's clearly a business based hotel, and we weren't here for work business so I'll be looking for a new place for our next stay.

I almost wanted to gatekeep this place. Everything was fantastic here. I booked this place early…read moreand It was around $165 a night. Don't you hate it when other reviewers don't tell you how much they paid? I mean, if you break it down with the free parking (at least $10), the free breakfast (at least $25 for family of 4), the EV charging (at least $15), this place really is quite the bargain. If you come here on Wednesday night there is a manager's reception. Unfortunately, we left Tuesday so no go there. Speaking of parking, it's gated. There is a sense of safety associated with the gated and pass you need on your car when you check in. Yes, there are outdoor parking spots but we had a room next to the service elevator which took us straight to the basement. It was perfect that we didn't have to lug too far. And as for elevators, there are 2 on every floor. One closer to check in and the other the service elevator. The weight room oddly enough is on the 3rd floor. I think my only complaint here was there was no remote for the TV. Other than that, they had free weights, kettlebells, treadmills, exercycles, and one Paleton. The swimming pool unfortunately was out of commission, not that anyone wanted to swim in the cold. Free internet connection was about 10Mb down, just enough for casual use. 4 Tessie chargers and 2 J1772 chargers underground. Free breakfast details. I believe it's 6am to 10pm. There really isn't a lot table for four. I only saw one table like that but there are just enough tables for everyone. As for the food, I wanted to applaud that it was different on both days we were here for the main. They had chorizo and sausage one day and pulled chicken and bacon the next. I also wanted to chime in that the fresh blueberries and blackberries are such a nice tough. Usual oatmeal, waffles, cereal, baked goods (the croissants here are delicious) The negatives: I did wish the coffee in the lobby was hot when we first check in. But that was not a deal breaker. My only gripe here was maybe the bathroom. Water pressure was below average and the shower base looked like they ran out of money remodeling. We utilized their media room with some of our friends whom we've haven't seen in years. We ate there and had a comfortable time as if this was our dining room. If you needed the maids to redo the room, you'll have to contact housekeeping. We were there for 2 nights, definitely did not need help but did wish for more cookies and chocolate :) Oh, very important. There's only 1 entrance here off El Camino and make sure you have your key card at all times because the you'll need it for entry. Big thank you to Holly for getting the exact room we wanted, #416. All the rooms have been updated.

In the past always had a great experience…read morebut on my most recent stay Dec 3 - Dec 5 2025 the price had gone up a lot ($744 for a 2 night stay in their most basic room even though I booked months in advance). For that much money you would expect a great experience but the hotel decided to cut corners and save money by cleaning the carpets in the guest rooms while people were staying in them. There was a sign in my room saying they were doing all the rooms on a floor the same day. I didn't want people cleaning the carpets while I was staying in the room so I left the do not disturb tag on my door but when I got back to the room on the 2nd day of my stay after working all day they had ignored it. I found the carpets were soaking wet and the room smelled of cleaning chemicals. I initially left my shoes on but the slimy liquid mixture of cleaner and hotel carpet gunk made my shoes slide like I was on ice when stepping off the carpet onto the tiled parts of the room. So then I took the shoes off and didn't slide on the tile but my socks soaked through quickly and became super uncomfortable so I ended up just going barefoot and having to fall asleep with the feeling of gross wet sticky feet. The next morning everything was dry and the carpet seemed normal so the hotel only would have needed a single day without a guest in the room to clean the carpet without impacting the experience of anyone staying there. The tiled parts of the room had also dried into a gross sticky film that was like walking around a terrible dive bar. I got in touch with Hilton after my stay and they weren't interested in the details of what happened. I offered to share pictures showing my experience but they declined them. I asked for a refund for the 2nd night but after putting me on hold for a while they only offered Hilton points. When I declined that they put me back on a hold for a while and then offered a voucher that was good for 1 night only at Homewood Suites. When I declined that they finally offered a partial refund but made it as painful as possible and wouldn't just put it back on my card but instead got my address and claim that they will send me a check that I will have to deal with.

So when I pulled up, I asked if I could see a room .. The lady showed me the room and I told her it smelled pretty strong of chemicals, but she told me that's the only room she had.. so stupidly on my part I decided to take it. Also, the price that they gave me in cash$ was different than the actual price that they had listed online... They overcharged me for the room.. then when I got into the room, I sat down in a chair. I wasn't on the chair more than maybe 10 to 15 minutes when I felt my back and my whole body feeling itchy... I called them up and this nasty man answered.. I asked him if I could get my money back. I was having a really bad allergy.. I told him I might even have to call the medics. He said good. Go call 911. We're not going to return your money!! . I had a awful night there. I was itching, the heater doesn't even fully work and there's cold air coming in all night long. It was just a terrible experience. These people have absolutely NO hospitality. They are so rude!! They are from India, but I think they discriminate against Caucasian individuals.. I highly recommend that you do not do any business with this place.
