After some research online, I found Aztec Rental. Reviews varied online but I gave them a chance. I called the day before in the afternoon and they were able to schedule a delivery and pickup. The forklift was unleaded gasoline operated and was equipped with a manual gear box (2 gears and a clutch). Luckily I drove stick shift for years and was familiar, but some people are only used to automatic gear boxes so this might throw someone off a bit. Condition of the forklift was so so. It did it's job and the guys came on time so I'm satisfied. As with any rental, always take as-arrived photos for liability just in case. Then after the job is done, take plenty of as-completed photos. Always cover yourself with proof just in case. The only odd part was that I was not able to schedule my forklift in advance. I had to call the day before which was odd. I think it's because this is the only fork lift available in their fleet so the first person using it may still want to keep it longer.

I rented chairs from the Sugar Land location. I asked for 45 chairs and am unsure of the number…read morethat was actually received because I did not count them when they were loaded. I returned 40 chairs - all that I had. Again, the count when the chairs were picked up should have been completed, my bad. Aztec could not verify whether or not they actually provided me with 45 chairs saying "well that was on Friday" so we can't be sure (this was said by the very heavy-set older white guy). At the conclusion, I was charged $20/chair even though neither party was sure of the actual number of chairs given. I completely understand that a customer may be charged for not returning rental property. However, what I do not understand is the customer service aspect, especially considering the uncertainties on the part of the company, too. Also, the price for the chairs was a huge consideration because the chairs were rusted, faded, had spill marks in them, in horrible condition; I had to hide the nastiest chairs. Definitely not $20 dollar chairs because of the condition they were in but, individuals personalize the value their property. Lesson for me is to actualize what I am getting so there are no surprises. Lesson for anyone who rent chairs from Aztec (or any company) - 1. count them before leaving the property, 2. Inspect them and leave the nasty rusted faded chairs behind 3. Write a review about your experience so that it can be a learning opportunity for the company and a potential customer, 4. Know that some companies, like this Aztec, will not acknowledge that a mistake could have been made on their end but disregard that possibility and still charge a customer. I knew that I may have had to pay for the discrepancy and was okay with that, but did not expect an admission from the company that a possibility of an oversight would not be honored. Usually, customers return to a location where they have a decent experience. Usually, customers do not return when they have a poor experience. Usually, customers write a review when they have a great experience. Usually, customers write a review when they have a poor experience. I bet you can guess how my experience was with Aztec Sugarland.

Service is BAD! They over charge you for repairs, and some of the repairs are not needed. They also cracked my gas tank on my Zero Turn by using air to blow out the gas, and then had the nerve to want to bill me for it! DO NOT USE this place.
