This place is a gem of a lawnmower shop. I'm normally the type of person who after x years feels…read moreit's cheaper to throw a non-working mower (or anything really) away and getting a new one, especially when it's falling apart and the engine is shot, but thanks to these guys, I've been able to squeeze a few more years out of our lawn gear and am surprised at the variety of parts they carry. Case in point, the fuel line on a leaf Home Depot blower was broken off and I knew the rest of the blower was just fine. I googled around online and it would have cost $30 for a piece of rubber tube so I stopped by these guys and boom, they pull out a spool of the stuff, measure what I need and I was on my way after a few bucks. They have a lot of other parts whether it's blades, O-rings, spark plugs, etc. too. I've never dropped anything off for repairs but again, that's a choice you have to make to see whether it's worth it. As someone who is familiar with service and repairs, I'd imagine nobody wants to be micromanaged so I can understand how they would not be thrilled to be asked what was done after the fact.

Two units, and the original truck as well. The truck we got out of the downtown location as they were out at the moment on Louisiana St. NO PROBLEM! They helped us get the truck to Midtown, set us up with 1 unit and when we realized that we couldn't get everything done in 1, they were there for us and had the 2nd one ready (right next door to the original) in 15 minutes. The security is awesome, the cleanliness is amazing, I cannot speak more highly of Jennifer and her ENTIRE staff. There is obviously a great amount of care and training for them as the culture of the store is refreshing for any self storage place we have EVER used. Ask anyone in the shop, and they are most accommodating, friendly, efficient, and above all respectful. As most times you're using self storage, it's not just because you have a surplus of items and want to store them (yes that does happen, but not the norm, as I have noticed) it's because you are in a stressful situation (moving top 5 most stressful events in life). Jennifer and her team are there to help in any possible way to help with your move, storage, and payments (online, over the phone, or in person). Truly she's a class act, and get staff follow suit as she is obviously one heck of a leader. Promotion is DEFINITELY needed for her and her entire staff as she moves up the ladder. I will not go anywhere else to have my storage needs met moving forward.

I had a wonderful experience with Chris at the Louisiana location (April 2025)…read more I'm a contractor, and my Chevy van was in the shop, so I rather desperately needed a work truck. I called UHAUL on Louisiana on a Friday, assuming that I could just pick up a van on Saturday morning. Chris answered my call, and then gave me the bad news ... Lots of people are moving on the weekends, and so all the vans and trucks were taken. He suggested I contact the UHAUL location on South Main. Then, to make sure that a vehicle was available for me, he offered to reserve a van for me, at the other location. How amazing is that?! His store wouldn't get the business, but he wanted to help me! Chris is personable, knowledgeable, upbeat, and eager to help. I could tell he was swamped (I had the feeling he was the only one working in the office), yet he spent plenty of time with me, ensuring that I would get a van and could go to work. Kudos to Chris and the Louisiana UHAUL! (Unfortunately, my experience at the South Main location was NOT positive at all. See separate review.)

While…read moreI'm very happy with the vehicle itself, the customer service and communication during the buying process were extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was how difficult it was to reach anyone. Calls rarely got answered, and even when I asked to speak with someone at the dealership, I was often sent to voicemail again. Getting updates or basic information was unnecessarily frustrating and made the whole process feel disorganized. The purchase took much longer than it should have, and the poor communication only made it worse. If it weren't for the vehicle being priced so well through the nationwide program, I would have taken my business elsewhere. There is definitely room for improvement in responsiveness and overall customer service.

I had them tune up my zero turn mower, including replacement of all 4 tires. That was a level of service that was unexpected but highly appreciated. Now it's 1 year later and it has 1,498 miles on it and I get a message it's due for an oil change, covered under the warranty. I opted for the mobile service, since wifey doesn't like driving around the freeways in Houston, and it was scheduled. At the end of the scheduled time, I got a call telling me they were delayed and offering to pick up the car at home, complete the maintenance, wash and vacuum it and return it the same day. So they actually Ubered a driver to my home, he drove the car to the dealership, they did the maintenance and then drove it back cleaner than when he left. I was impressed with everyone at the dealership including Mona who coordinated the process and Robert who did the driving. We know we bought at the right dealership! It's been 5 stars since delivery.

Momentum and BMW West states Sonic Automotive does not want to sell the vehicle to us and it's a management decision. It appears they have discriminatory practices. A letter has been sent to Sonic Automotive customer relations Rachael Z. requesting that she forward and deliver the email and it's complete attachments to David Burton Smith, Heath R Byrd, Marcus G, Jeff Dyke, William Belk, Keri Kaiser and Michael Hodge with the intent to gain their cooperation and empathy to remedy this matter, it's approaching week two and still there's no response. We came to them to purchase a family vehicle, BMW has been a brand that we have grown in, my wife's late father owned a BMW V12 740 LI back in 1991. This was supposed to be a full circle moment. That now my father would own a BMW chariot to carry his legacy around in Sonic Automotive brand has ruined it! My father is a hard-working man, he may look rough and exhausted, but he worked his whole life, paid his debts and duty to society, and he has a right to the pursuit of happiness regardless to someone's personal judgment of his appearance. This is gross dereliction of duty from Sonic Automotive. We will continue to escalate this matter to the point of resolve.
