The owner/staff doesn't want you here-or at least doesn't want US tourists. Staff quashed our every attempt at friendly interaction. They obviously don't understand that the MAGA idiots don't travel, especially out of the country. I get folks dislike the policies of US leadership, but believe me we're not fans either. Since this comes up before the more busy part of Peggy's cove there's a bit less traffic with easier parking and a chance at getting a table. We were also able to switch out our side with the seafood chowder which came with even more lobster! What makes the lobster so good here is they serve female lobsters that are rich with delicious, flavorful roe when it's in season. I went here with my family and all of our lobsters were packed with the good stuff. Safe to say our bellies were stuffed full of delicious seafood before we went off to hike away the calories at Peggy's Cove. The staff were friendly and attentive and we had a great time enjoying lobsters seaside. Definitely make the stop to grab some lobster if you're in the area!

Not sure what's going on here, but the hinges need to be readjusted because the door flies open when you turn the knob (also not great for accessibility vs. a handle - and requires Superman to close). So be warned! Minor details aside - the menu is small but priced well for the freshest fish and best local ingredients. The food was clean, not greasy and very tasty. This place is great for take out but also for sitting in if it's not packed. It's really small and quaint with only a few tables so if you're coming in tourist season - call ahead or be prepared for take out only! In addition - this is the new home/bottling location for Pay Day cider where you can purchase on tap, in bottles or refill your own. We only had the Dry cider and while it was nice, it was a little on the sweeter and carbonated side. There are multiple flavours to choose from. We've tried all the spots in the Valley and this is many points above the rest! We watched as people came and went for take out the entire hour we were there.
