It was a gorgeous day, the first Sunday in January, 2026. We arrived at 11:00 am, when they open, because we wanted to make sure to be ahead of the well documented Sunday brunch crowd. Yeiboh Kitchen does not take reservations (although they do reserve for special parties/events). Yeiboh Kitchen has an intimate outside patio dining area in front for that alfresco experience. When we entered, we were greeted warmly, and waited in comfy chairs for about 10 minutes in the cozy foyer complete with fireplace, before being seated. There was a mix of smooth R&B and mellow Hip Hop flowing on the PA system - and then the DJ set it up, and continued the vibe! The bar, open kitchen, and cheerful wait staff enhanced our anticipation of the food that was in store! We were not disappointed! I had the Jerk Honey Glazed Lollipop Lamb Chops AND Grits! It comes with 3 chops, cooked to your specification. (Medium for me) I was trying to scrape my plate for the last morsel of grits, and suck the Lamb bones, it was so good! The hubby ordered the Deep Fried Salmon and Grits, served with a savory Cajun cream sauce, scallion and tomatoes - and 2, fluffy scrambled eggs! He absolutely loved his meal! We also had the Deep Fried Biscuit Flight. Three biscuits - Salted Caramel Apple, Strawberry Cream, and Banana Pudding - perfectly fried in a way you would not even think they were fried, but for that ever-so light, crispy texture on the crust, and every bite - perfection! I cannot say which biscuit I enjoyed the most - I'll need to visit a few more times to make a determination! For beverages, we had coffee, and I ordered my (usual) mimosa. Our server, "Ms. Sunday," was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The Chef, Mr. Chris Davis, greeted us at our table during the meal, which was a wonderful, elegant touch! He explained about the fried biscuits (without giving away too much!)- and we complimented him on his culinary innovations in the kitchen! The Sunday brunch patrons began to arrive around noon, and by the time we left - close to 1:00pm, it was jumping! If you are in or near Baltimore, or plan to travel to the area soon, please put this restaurant on your list. Parking is at a premium, so if you can, arrive by Uber or Lyft. The experience will be well worth the trip!

The service was genuinely great--attentive without hovering--and the dishes (we mostly ordered off HH small plates menu) came out surprisingly fast, which every parent can appreciate. We sat on the back patio, and it gave the whole night a relaxed, almost mini-getaway vibe. Not always easy to pull off a date-night feel with little ones, but this came close. Already looking forward to coming back for happy hour and soaking it in a bit longer. See you soon! I only had a margarita off the HH menu and it tasted a little watered down, which is why I took off a star. I'll definitely be back with a full drink review!

From the whimsical (and tasty) caesar salad martini to a truly spectacular array of food, this was an experience I'll remember for a long time. But before I get to the food, I want to mention how accommodating the restaurant was as our party size nearly doubled in the 24 hours leading up to the dinner. I was so grateful that they were able to make space for what ended up being a group of six of us. We were seated at their lovely, luxurious chef's table near the back, where we were able to settle in to their beautiful velvet seating and await the evening ahead. We started, of course, with cocktails. The bartender at my hotel, when I told her where I was having dinner, said the caesar salad martini was a must-try and that the CookHouse master of spirits, Gabe, was a true genius behind the bar. She wasn't wrong. The martini truly tasted exactly like a caesar salad, and was adorned with a crouton garnish to complete the effect. Then, we dove into appies. I'm pretty sure we ordered one of almost everything on the starter menu. I wish I could remember everything we ordered, but standouts included the octopus, steak tartare, and burrata & lobster toast. Next, it was time to order dinner. We shared several entrees, including their famous steak frites (which happened to be half price because we were there on a Wednesday!), soft-shell crab, and a spring paella. Even though we were full, we couldn't resist splitting a few desserts, including a fantastic house-made creme brulee, a ginormous slab of cheesecake, and some ice cream. Let's just say, they almost had to roll us out the door. As always with an over-the-top experience, the service is what truly put CookHouse into the 5+ star range. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuine. I absolutely cannot wait to return to Baltimore and try this beautiful spot again!

From a menu that changes weekly to incredible craft cocktails and absolute vibes (golden hour in Bolton Hill is truly dreamy), this place nails it. The truffle steak tartare might have changed my life. We really loved the burrata, and of course the proper smash burger (only available on Thursdays!) The espresso martini is a work of art. Will be back!!!!

Set within The Ivy Hotel, the space carries a quiet elegance that immediately sets the tone. Rich textures, warm lighting, and a sense of history create an atmosphere that feels intimate and composed. What stands out first is the hospitality. The service is gracious, attentive, and welcoming. The menu reflects a similar sensibility: seasonal, sustainable, and thoughtfully sourced, with a clear emphasis on freshness and organic ingredients. Each dish feels grounded and intentional, with flavors that are satisfying and not pretentious. There's a clear awareness of how the experience engages all five senses, from presentation to aroma to texture, which elevates the meal beyond just taste. The cocktail program mirrors this approach. The list is seasonal and frequently evolving, offering creative, ingredient-driven drinks that feel just as considered as the food. I had the Aspen Fir which was distinctive, refreshing, and unlike anything I've had before. It was a perfect example of how thoughtfully they approach even the smallest details. There's a steadiness to Magdalena that's easy to appreciate. It doesn't chase trends or try to impress through excess yet instead, it delivers a consistently beautiful experience rooted in quality, warmth, and attention to detail. It's the kind of place you leave feeling both well taken care of and quietly impressed.

How can I best describe this restaurant? Ummm, I know-Par excellence!!!!!!!!!!!…read more First, the decor was simply breathtaking and classy. A beauty in each corner that you turned. It's perfect enough for an intimate date or an evening with family. Next, the ENTIRE staff was amazing! The hostess was warm and sang happy birthday to my boyfriend upon arrival. Our waiter, LaQuan, was AH-MA-ZING! His recommendations were spot on and he was very accommodating the entire time. Excellent service from valet to the bar. Drinks: the cocktails list was extensive as were their wines. We ordered and rate the following: Hot Honey Rye Sour-Excellent! Excellent!! Excellent!!! This drink was smooth and satisfying. Magdalena Espresso Martini-This drink was FANTASTIC! Freshly brewed and now in my top 10! Boulevardier-My boyfriend described this as a smoooooth drink! He loved it. We weren't too fond of the Siberian Root because of the overpowering taste of liquor against the other flavors but all of the other drinks were incredible. Food: For starters we had the following: Canape Board: stuffed wings, sweet Jesus oysters, and chicken liver mousse. The sweet Jesus oysters and chicken liver mousse were impeccable! The stuffed wings were good. The flavors weren't bad but it wasn't as memorable as the oysters and chicken liver mousse. Entrees: I ordered the Dry Aged Rohan Duck Breast which came with carrot bbq sauce, red miso carrot purée, grilled baby carrots, freekeh, honeybush jus. O-M-GEEE! The culinary perfection in this dish was on full display. The duck was juicy and savory. The carrot bbq sauce was divine. The grilled carrots and carrot puree was beyond perfection. Bringing each ingredient together well. It was SO good and memorable. My boyfriend ordered the 8oz grass-fed Ribeye which came with confit sweet potato, fried broccoli, bitter green salsa verde, bordelaise sauce. I took a bite of the ribeye and wondered "is there anything that this chef cannot master?" It was soooooooooooooo tender and juicy. To end a beautiful evening, the waiter sang happy birthday over their incredible Banoffee Cake. This cake was divine and a tease (smaller portion) but honey! We couldn't have left without enjoying their dessert. I cannot wait to visit this place again. They're worth the trip.

I had a corned beef sandwich, a knish, and a bottled soda and it cost me almost $30. The corned beef sandwich cost like 16 and I think it was literally just a bit of corned beef between two slices of toasted rye bread. It was so unremarkable, I barely even remember it. I would've been much better off going to the Harvest Fare supermarket and getting whatever is comparable. Their sandwiches are quite good, packed with ingredients, and large, and only like 5 minutes away from this place. It took no fewer than 15 minutes to come out and the girl at the register had a bit of attitude. Hmm. The restaurant is OK. Spacious and decent lighting and I think the owner or manager or whoever it was looked like a kindly and warm person. The business does not seem to advertise itself too aggressively. It's located in a nondescript business that barely looked like it's open and has minimal signage. The knish was good though. Warm and nice and soft. I still remember that one. I can't recommend based on the price and the lack of any sort of innovation, taste, or quality that would justify said price. However, I think that's probably a plus for the restaurant and its patrons. It feels like it's meant to keep certain people out and serve as a place for certain people to congregate.
