I recently took my student athlete to Maceo and was so impressed. My young athlete is in club season and wanted to work through some tension to play his best. Maceo did a great job of explaining what he was doing, being responsive to my child's feedback and sharing a bit about his own experience as a student athlete and what motivates him in this work. Would highly recommend Maceo! read more

I finally tried Neuromuscular Studio for a 90 minute massage and it was fantastic. Macio was excellent in his knowledge, communication, technique, and care during my massage. I learned some new information regarding the achilles which was pretty cool. The establishment was super clean and comfortable - massage room, restroom, and lobby. The staff members very friendly and had amazing smiles when greeting. This is my new home for masages that I know will focus on the areas of concern and provide the muscle therapy needed. I have felt fantastic! No more muscle tension. read more

Excellent massage! Juliana was great! She really took the time to understand my pain and tense areas. The studio is clean and relaxing! Hello I have been in the dental field for 10 years and have recently started feeling wrist and sciatic pain. Regular massages weren't relieving my pain. I realized I needed therapy not a massage. I met Jaja today and not only is she extremely personable, she is equally knowledgeable and great at what she does. I booked a 60 minute neuromuscular massage and feel so much relief in my wrist and lower back. I will recommend this place a thousand times! Can't wait to see her in the new year! NOT recommended , for two reasons , if u miss appointment they try to tell you have to pay them money for that missed appointment, not a warning , or a next time this will happen , the very first and only time it happens , I said no I am not paying you for you did nothing and she said well if u don't pay for this missed appointment a percentage of it them u can't be seen here ever. I said well good luck with that policy !!! I found a great place that does amazing work and deep massage and they don't charge an arm n a leg like this place ! This place is overpriced even if they do deep and a different ' type ' of massage ,, it's ridiculously over priced. And now they won't be getting a new weekly client. Their loss. I've never been to a place that tried to tell me to pay for a massage I didn't get. Ever.i remember twice years ago I tried this place and wasn't impressed either with the massage. So I am glad I didn't waste my money again after all ! read more

I have chronic pain on my upper shoulders and neck for many years. I have done physical therapy, but the pain continues to persist. I finally found Neuromuscular Studio via Google search and saw Jaja for the 1st time. I was amazed with the skills and techniques that Jaja has for alleviating my chronic pain. At the beginning of the massage session, Jaja and I talked about my problem areas; she intuitively listened to me and worked her magic. I was pain free for days. I felt like I got my life back. I just cannot say enough about Jaja and Neuromuscular Studio for the care, knowledge and techniques to help people with many types of massages. I would give Jaja 100 stars if I could. read more

Great spot - first place that is a massage spot that helps with my migraine's & scoliosis. Jordan was awesome!

I've been coming here for years to address/reduce various physical pain while participating in different active events (Sprint Triathlons, Spartans, mini marathons, bike rides, etc) or just part of my physical training. As my body continues to develop I always extend my muscles beyond where my daily norm may be and the Neuromuscular Studio has been my go to place to eliminate pain and restore balance to my body. Knowing the difference between massage therapy (or deep tissue massage) vs a neuromuscular massage I think is key so you can have a path to being pain free. NMT deals with the muscles, ligaments, and soft tissues like the typical massage, but the treatment will focus primarily on the nervous system. The focus of the treatment addresses blood flow, trigger points and more so plan for multiple sessions to feel relief. After one session I can physically feel a difference in my body or specific area targeted, but can see how it ties in with my entire body (neck, shoulders, hip, back). All of the NMT specialist are certified in the practice and in my mind have a real good understanding of the techniques and will communicate to you during the session (if you want) about what they are focusing on and why in simple terms to understand what your body is doing. I typically will walk in and say I have a 'knot like' feeling in my back, a stiff neck or a pinched nerve... What I think is bothering me is at times visible to them so they know where to begin but explore the areas that are all interconnected. Scheduling an appointment is really easy and it can be done with the online booking system. Key thing when you leave is to drink a lot of water as your muscles are truly going too be stimulated to help with the recovery. I look forward to all my appointments read more

Great environment. Jaja was fantastic, patient and explained along the way. Will absolutely be back to help with pain management.

I called this morning with pain in my back and was immediately able to get a same day appointment. This is my second time in this studio and love the quiet and clean office. I was given a room where it was dimly lit with very peaceful ocean sounds complimenting soothing quiet music. Once I was ready, Danielle started. She was very professional and respectful and did a full body message ending with cupping on my upper back where I was having most of my pain. Danielle was very gentle, but strong and gave me the best message I have had. I will definitely be back. read more

I have a disc bulge and have suffered from tailbone pain for over a year. After numerous injections in my back and doing PT for many months, nothing seemed to help. I went to see Rachel Carroll for my first Neuromuscular massage and I can honestly say it has been the missing piece to my pain puzzle. She is extremely knowledgeable and incredible at what she does. Her bedside manner is the best of the best and I am so thankful for these treatments. I'm on my 4th treatment and my body has already started to relax and heal. I highly recommended this place for any pain or injury you're suffering from. read more

I'd give 10 stars if I could. I discovered The Neuromuscular Studio through an internet search after having been diagnosed with a torn hip labrum. I am a candidate for surgery, but decided to try a more conservative route of physical therapy and massage. After reading that Rachel had experienced a torn hip labrum herself, I knew if anyone could help me, it would be her. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Aside from the pain-relieving massages, she has been a great resource for my hip labrum issues, and even helped me find a knowledgeable physical therapist! It has not been an overnight fix, but I rarely ever have issues with my hip anymore. (Thanks, Rachel!) I have also received massages from Melissa, and she was great in her practice as well. Knowing how Rachel runs her business, I have no doubt the other therapists are just as professional and knowledgeable, so don't be afraid to pick any of them! If you have any kind of pain/injury issues, go in for a consultation. You won't regret it! read more

The eye twitch from Hell got me for about 6 weeks before I finally mentioned it to Rachel at The NMT Studio. She got into some pressure points in my shoulders, neck, and upper back, and it's almost gone now. There is not much that is as annoying as an eye twitch. Seriously. read more

I've been going to Melissa at Neuromuscular Studio for over a year now and when I first came in to see her I was a wreck. My body was tight, I was in discomfort and I was very particular who worked on me. She recommended I start the KMI series and work on loosing tendons and ligaments to help align my body again. After a few sessions I started to notice real change and after the series was done it went even further. I sometimes would go a couple of months without getting anything done, but still felt better than I had in years of trying to find someone else. She asks the right questions, she listens and she is patient [because for me it wasn't always fun]. If you are looking for someone who can help you alleviate pain or just need a good massage. Go to Melissa! She is worth every penny - trust me I have wasted so much over the years going to the wrong people. read more

I was referred to see Rachel at NMT Studio by my neurologist so that she could help with tension headaches that I was getting. I can't even tell you how much her therapy has helped. When I first started with her, I was getting a migraine once a week that lasted for days at a time and I was in fairly constant pain. She has worked with me weekly to work out my trigger points and try to get my muscles to behave. She has referred me to some great physicians that she has worked with over the years and between her and their expertise I now get a migraine maybe once a month if that. I can't praise the work that she does enough. read more

I was sent to the Neuromuscular Studio by a physical therapist many years ago for help with chronic pain issues. After just one massage from Rachel, I knew I was finally at the right place! I have watched Rachel grow her business from just herself to her current five therapists, and must say that she has been very particular about ensuring only the best staff and products are in her studio. In addition to Rachel, I have had many massages from Melissa, as well as her incredibly helpful KMI therapy, and also massages from Holly, and all have been fabulous. They all seem to have an intuitive ability to determine exactly what my body needs. The one best word I would use to describe the Neuromuscular Studio is quality - quality staff, quality products, quality business practices, and quality customer service. I would rate it ten stars if that was an option! read more

Neuromuscular massage has greatly improved my mobility. Rachel is very straight foward, honest, skillful, and incredibly well trained in her craft. She also suggested other modalities to keep my body flexible and without pain. Well worth every dollar spent! read more

Rachel and her team at the Neuromuscular Studio are fantastic! This is not just typical soft tissue work. They go in with a specific goal and consistent treatment plan to help get rid of your aches and pains. As a physical therapist, I am always looking for good, quality healthcare professionals to collaborate and refer out to when needed. Rachel and her team are exactly those people. I can confidently refer any patient to her because I know they'll get the best hands on care available at the Neuromuscular Studio. They take the time for a full whole body assessment to address not only your current issues her but also to address potential other causes from other structures- the root cause. They take the time to educate you on your condition and on what you can do for yourself to help improve your pain levels. The therapists there, while all interested in getting you better, have a variety of approaches that they can use. They refer within themselves to the most appropriate treatment technique for each patient. They take the time to fully address each underlying structure for its integrity and potential contribution to the overall problem or solution. As a physical therapist with many patients in chronic pain I have no hesitation to refer patients to Neuromuscular Studio because they are progressive with their treatments and don't rush tissue work - blasting through painful areas just because it is restricted. They are effective and understand the implications of hands-on therapy beyond simply affecting the muscle or fascia. Rachel and her team are my go to people for clients who need more hands-on care. I recommend them without reservation! read more

After many, many years of frustrating debilitating neck and back pain and years of trying chiropractic, acupuncture, spinal epidurals, prescription medication, etc. - I've finally found the answer I've been searching and hoping for. I've only had two neuromuscular massages so far, and they've already been life-changing. It's unlike any massage or treatment anywhere - it's truly healing and my therapist, Heidi, is unbelievable at finding the exact issues which cause problems and ones I didn't even realize were causing other problems. It's incredible how they find specific strands of specific muscles that no other treatment could before. I'm beyond grateful and am happy to drive 30 minutes to get there because I never want to live without them - honestly. I finally have hope that I won't be suffering from terrible chronic pain as I age, becausethis will help me actually repair and heal so I can have a normal lifestyle again. read more
