I walked in on a Tuesday morning for a regular manicure, and was accommodated without a wait. Laura was my technician and she did an excellent job! She was detailed-oriented, skilled, and made sure I was comfortable with her work at key points (e.g. the shaping, color). I was very happy with how my manicure turned out and it looked as good as new the next day, when I spent the day at an important work event. I also appreciated the fact that the instruments were freshly sanitized. The other staff members I interacted with were warm and friendly, which was great. I decided to try a new place closer to home. I called to ask was there any opening on a Saturday morning and was told I could walk in. The ambiance and fast service as a walk in was great. I asked for the yellowburst pedicure which gave me the impression that there would be actual organic lemon slices. Instead there was a lemon scented powder he poured into the bowl. I attempted to ask but the language barrier didn't allow me to convey anything to him at all. Down to my service outside of the color I pointed to that I wanted. I asked for one rhinestone toe and showed him the photo. He nodded. Polished my feet with the cat eye polish I chose then began to oil my feet to finish. I then signaled for him to wait and again showed the picture. He went to get another gentleman to ask what I was saying. He then relayed it to a woman who came over to do the rhinestone application and finish me up. Over all he gave me a pretty decent pedicure, but there are some blurred lines with the menu as well as the language barrier as I'm very particular about my pedicures. I really love a nail place that uses new files clean straight out of the pack and the other equipment is sterilized and also opens from a wrap container letting me know that the nail service will be sanitary. My nail tech (Veronica) was quick and did an amazing job on my pedicure. If I had to think of a con to the service it would be seeing an employee (not the person doing my pedicure) vapping. Being from ny I'm very used to a non smoking inside atmosphere so looking at her vape then blow the smoke in the air was weird and to me inappropriate for a service related business. I smelled the vape and actually had to cough a few times bc of it. One other note is that they are not particularly welcoming when you arrive. I am so sad to say it because i love this place :( but i got a horrible infection from this place. there is one member of the staff who is very old and he was very aggressive (he means well) but he kept cutting me and would get frustrated with me when i would complain. i felt really bad asking for someone else because he is old and i didn't want to make him feel bad. but he was not listening and gave me several cuts. it's not him- it's just that i think he was getting lazy/careless. anyways. my finger is super infected and is extremely painful. I will need to start antibiotics maybe he didn't clean the instruments. i don't know. but make sure you ask them to clean and don't be afraid to speak up!!! Horrible. All I can think of is how bad my finger hurts. He cut me twice and kept using the drill on the same part of my cuticle so it burned so bad. He did not ask me what I wanted with shape and I had to tell him after he assume what I wanted. I then show him a design of a nail photo and he completely messes the photo up with all the wrong colors so I tell him after... that doesn't look like the photo I showed you. He takes the design off and gets mad at me! As if I messed it up LOL Okay then he does the design correct this time but makes the lines so messy and doesn't bother cleaning up the color on my skin after. $75 total for these! I thought this would be a nice place for a manicure and a pedicure. It's a really large location on Biscayne Boulevard. When I walked in I noticed how many stations there were and how large the place is. I can't imagine how much the rent is here. They must do a lot of manicures and pedicures. The manicure and pedicure were less than OK as they both seemed slightly rushed. I'm used to being offered a beverage like a bottle of water and that wasn't offered. There were two guys at the front area. Both of them were more interested in watching the football game than any customers coming in. They were dressed as employees so I'm not sure exactly what their function was. I know communication is always a struggle here, but this place it was worse than normal. I asked for my nails to be buffed. She probably doesn't hear that word very often and didn't understand what I wanted. So I didn't get the buffing. If you want lightning fast service for a pedicure this is a place to go. She had me put my feet in the tub before she turned on the water. So the water was nice and cold the first couple of minutes. My friend Rachel has the most beautiful dipped nails And I asked her where she got them done. To my surprise she told me it was at this salon And that she has a specific girl that does it very well. I've been coming here for 6 months and will never come back! I came on 4/12 and got dip powder on my hands with a French design in gel. I've been doing this for 6 months with no outlandish price issues! I do a regular pedi and the dip/gel manicure and pay roughly $95 plus tip. I assume the pedi is probably $30 and the dip/gel is $65 because of my almond shape and the French. Also, my nails are long, I get an occasional tip added here and there if I have breakage, but for the most part the nails are all mine! This time, by 4/13, the very next day, the gel on my thumb already started chipping. So, I came on 4/14 and got my thumb fixed for free, great! Then, by 4/17, TWO MORE fingers chipped, but with work I couldn't come back. By 4/18, TWO MORE fingers chipped so I came in on 4/24 with now FOUR chipped fingers. Ive never, ever had an issue with the gel chipping on top of my dip, so idk what happened this time. Anyways, I came in, asked to have the gel filed off and redone thinking it would cost me like $10-$15 max . I originally did my nails with Rosa, and got her again this time so I was happy because she's familiar with what I like. Rosa filed off the gel polish from all ten fingers and redid my design. Great! I go up to pay and they said it would be $45!!!!!! FOURTY-FIVE to file off the gel and redo the design. The design by the way took Rosa FIFTEEN MINUTES. I WAS SHOCKED so I obviously said WHAT!!!!!???? A lady came and reinforced the price so I questioned why and she said something about how it's nearly $5 PER FINGER for design and then a guy (maybe owner or manager jumped in) and tried to justify why on earth it's $45 but it's clearly irrational and illogical pricing. I told them if I pay $65 when I come for a whole new dip set and design, how can just the design this time be $45? I asked if just dip with no polish is $20 then and of course they said NO it's $50.... Umm, the math ain't mathin'!!! They stopped arguing with me were not reasonable and made me pay this ludicrous amount for a change of gel polish with a simple French design. Not that they care, but I'll never be back! read more

i came in with a friend for a regular manicure. the place smelled like toxic fumes, stronger than any salon i've ever stepped into. the receptionist was nice but the nail techs looked annoyed, even though there was hardly anyone in there and they were just texting on their phones. i told the guy that my nails were damaged from doing gel, but he insisted on trying to upsell me on getting gel anyway. then after taking off the (regular) polish i had, he used the electric file, the kind they use for acrylic or to remove the top layer of gel. i asked what for, and he said because i had "dry skin" around my nails. ummmm, isn't that what the cuticle nipper is for? this felt extremely unnecessary, as i had just told him my nails were healing from a poor gel/gel removal job. after that, when he's going in with the cuticle remover, i ask to only cut the sides and *not*the cuticle. of course, he says "oh, just a little bit" and goes to town on my cuticles. cuticle cutting is not necessary for any manicure but some people are just so scissor happy. :/ so i'm just frustrated at this point, and he rushes through my paint job, which looks decent, but it's a little messy on the skin outside of my nails and now i'm sure my nails are paper thin because of the electric file he used in addition to the nail buffer. after i told him my nails were weak. and to top it off, there was no application of lotion or oil or any moisturizer. it was rushed (for no reason, the place was empty). my friend had a bad experience too and didn't even like the paint job, so she asked them to just stop and remove the polish. we had high hopes for this place but it didn't live up to our (low) expectations. read more

I got off my flight and started making calls to nail salons. Everywhere was booked. I came across the nail venue bc they were close to my hotel. They told me to come right in. I was the first customer in the shop. I wanted a full set with ombré and a pedicure. Rosalia did my nails and she did a wonderful job, only con was that it took forever, almost 2 hours for a full set. I'm used to 30-45 mins tops! Rosa did my pedicure and she was a much faster abt 30 mins and I was done. She did an amazing job, no more crusty feet. Lol!! I was also offer beverages while I waited.
