Absolutely do not go here. Actually i didn't even get a chance to. I called to see if they do walk ins or appointments. Right off the bad the receptionist is being super rude and telling me that nothing is available, which I understood. He eventually told me that a 4pm appointment opened then I proceed to take it. Mind you I booked this a few hours before that right in the morning. With all my errands it went right across my head. They called me and asked me where I was at. I then proceed to explain to them that I am super sorry, I forgot and that's when he turned extremely rude on me. I asked if there was any more available appointments. Also keep in mind, the map's says that it takes walk ins. Why are you not accepting me. He then said "we're not giving you an appointment anymore, we don't want to take you." I then say "why?" He's yelling on the phone irrationally saying that you missed your appointment time and that you're a bad customer.... Sir HUHHH? I keep asking him to a point where I got irritated and raised my voice. Because you are coming at me very aggressive and i'm simply asking a question. As soon as i ask him why he's being so rude he hangs up. I call back and he answers and then hangs up super quickly. I called back 6 times and he repeats the same tactic. All because I missed my appointment time by accident?? The customer service was extremely terrible and I should have know that the second he answered the phone the very first time I called asking about getting my nails done. Been there twice. First time I had a great experience with Clarissa and Erica. Second time, there was an issue with the owner Amber Hammermeister. For 11 years of nail experience, she sucks. I was told that Clarissa and Erica were unavailable for a full set acrylic service. I was told that one does not do acrylics and the other one only does fillings. So, the only technician who can supposedly do the job is the owner. The owner is VERY unprofessional and rude. She will say that she is able to complete the full set of acrylic and nail art within the time frame and then run behind. When she is behind she will rush and then push you off to someone else so that she can take her next available client. My nails were shaped unevenly, clumps/not smooth nails, acrylic gel under my nails from not properly filing/shaping them, and I did not get the design I asked for. She had another technician finish my nails, which later I found out was her sister. All her sister did was put glitter on the nails to cover the unfinished work. They BOTH will treat you very rudely and blame you for the reason they are behind. The sister blamed me for being the reason she could not tend to her own client. They blamed me for not choosing a longer time slot, which I didn't know anything about. I felt so attacked that I left unsatisfied. I went home and was in tears, which caused my mom to get involved. My mom and I returned to the store a few hours later to address my nails and the treatment I experienced. When we returned the owner left for the day. We asked for the nails to be fixed or for us to have a refund. The sister stated that the nails could not be fixed because the only person that could fix them would be Amber (the owner). She refused to call Amber to see if she was able to come back to address the issue. Her sister stated, "the owner has a family and a life of her own." With a statement like that I can honestly say this owner does not care about her business. When you ask for a refund the sister will state how she is the manager but is not authorized to give refunds. We stated how I am to return to college and needed the nails fixed today. I had to wait until the next day for the owner to call and tell me she is refunding my money but is keeping the deposit. She will say she is keeping the deposit because that covers the cost of her materials. Please know that the nail studio claim they do not give refunds and on top of that they require a deposit for a full set of acrylic nails. Be on the lookout for overcharging. I paid $15 for the deposit and they never subtracted my deposit from my service. For the record, the nail studio have great technicians. I strongly suggest going to Clarissa or Erica. The problem is the owner. Her sister called the cops because we needed a mediator and the owner used the cops being contacted as a reason to ban us, which I do not care because I was not going to return this establishment anyway. Please know this owner and her sister will lie on you to cops. When you try to have a conversation the sister will make faces, get ignorant, and instruct her client to call the cops. They tell their clients to call the cops so it looks like the clients are the ones complaining when it really is the owner/sister who are treating their customers badly. THE OWNER IS THE REASON FOR NOT GOING TO THE NAIL STUDIO. read more

You guys should really send out reminders or emails concerning the fee prior to people's appointments to inform new comers about the cancellation fee. I have never been in this place before but it would be nice to know if you cancel last minute they will charge you a fee for it. Not email me last minute like you did to tell me that. I wish I had something nice to say, but this was honestly my worst manicure I've had to date. It took TWO HOURS do to a single color, no-chip manicure on just my hands. I could have overlooked this fact if the manicure was done well. Unfortunately, as soon as I got home, I could see that the polish was all on the sides of my fingers and already coming up. It's globbed under my nails, it's globbed on the sides, it looks like a complete mess. For the price, I expected a luxurious, clean manicure. Instead I received a dry manicure of poor quality. Demi did my nails, she was nice but the nails not so much. 2 days later they started chipping within 4 days half my nails were chipped....we're talking huge chips; more like tears! Demi was rude and after an argument on the phone reluctantly redid them for $25! Ok, so when I get there she yells at me in front of everybody and says "I'm doing you a big favor!" Give me a break or at least give me a decent nail job that will last for 2 weeks at least before the first chip! read more

After reading the two glowing reviews, I was very optimistic and excited about scheduling an appointment. I was also thrilled that there was a July special because trying out a new nail salon that's more expensive is sometimes a gamble. The location is quaint and the staff are very friendly. What I found sourly disappointing were the following: The mani was done before pedi. Perhaps this is trivial, but the whole purpose of going to the nail salon is to relax. Starting off with a foot soak is IMO the best way to do that. My manicure was awful. I hate using that word, but it really was! It was extremely rushed. My hands didn't soak. My cuticles were roughly trimmed and my finger nails weren't all uniform. I can tolerate some nails that are longer or shorter then others, but the shape of each nail should be consistent. Anyway, I overlooked all of that, because my nail tech was just so gosh darn friendly that I still wanted to give her a try. When I got to my pedi, I realized that I hadn't rolled my pants legs up. I'm use to getting a pedicure first, soI hadn't intially worried about my pants or ruining my manicure. SO...with freshly painted nails, I had to struggle and attempt to roll my pants legs up just to soak my feet. My nail tech didn't even offer to help. The inevitable happened next. Every single finger nail was ruined. I became immediately frustrated. Mainly because, if this WERE a higher end salon, the tech should have offered to help me, instead of watching me ruin my nails. After I managed to get my feet into the pedicure tub, the tech started to take off the messed up polish. However, the cotton ball left all those stray hairs. The tech ignored that and just painted over the cotton ball hair and all. THAT put me over the edge. The work was at best decent to begin with, but, that was unbearable and really lacked professionalism. I HAD to point out how bad my nails looked in order to get her to remove the polish again. What a MESS! The caliber of quality simply doesn't match the price at this nail salon. Who trained this girl?? I left before having my pedicure done. I managed to leave a small tip and paid in full for the manicure. I definitely don't recommend this nail salon. I'm more than willing to pay for quality, but if I can barely stomach the manicure, there is no way I'm ever going to return. So, the search continues. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Update 2/11/2014 You would think that the salon owner would have reached out at the very least. This always speaks volumes about a business and their desire to give great customer satisfaction. I understand that yelp reviews can often seem unfair. My wife is too nice to write a review but because she was so upset over her experience I decided to write one for her. She went in yesterday and during her manicure the manicurist cut into her cuticle enough to make it bleed, which alone was not a big deal. Anyway, the manicurist decides to deal with the bloody finger with a little new skin, which sounds about right..... However, this bottle of new skin had a brush applicator which she applied directly from the bottle to my wife's open wound. YIKES! I really hope that whoever used that new skin before didn't have hepatitis, or possibly something worse. Also they charge about $10 more than other places, which is supposed to be attributed to the high quality. Well my wife's nails are already starting to chip, after just one day. So in a nutshell I don't think that nails that fall apart after 24hrs and a sporting chance to pick up the Ebola virus is worth an extra 10 bucks. read more

I went there recently for a No Chip manicure and was really disappointed. The manicure was extremely rushed, there was NOTHING relaxing or pampering about it. She slopped the paint on, not even going all the way down to the cuticle so it looked like it was an old manicure from day 1. She had a hard time getting the polish to look good on one nail, so she kept putting more and more polish on it which left the nail looking lumpy and weird. On day 4 I noticed the edges were starting to wear off already! Plus 2 nails already have little chips on them. Maybe if she would have taken her time it would have been done correctly. I have been there before and always left pretty happy - this was by far the worst experience I have had there. read more

This is hands down, no competition, the best place to get your nails done. I will NEVER go anywhere else. Ever. If you paid me, even. Everyone here is talented, the environment is relaxed, clean, and the people who work here know what they are doing and are LICENSED. Meaning they know how to properly sanitize their implements. Their app allows me to book appointments at my own leisure, I can also get facial massages, eyebrows done, and even my hair done if I wish. They even do eyelash extensions. Pedicures are the bomb. They actually massage your feet and legs. Amazing gem of a place. I look forward to my appointments every 2 weeks for my no chip. However , this salon is in desperate need of a receptionist because calling to make an appointment is another story. I somehow got locked out of my vigaro account so I called to set up an appointment and I can tell they were busy and had no time to answer my questions or find an appointment that would accommodate me. From a customer standpoint I don't want the girls having to get up during my service to answer the phones! I'm in there to relax not feel rushed or for the technician to feel the same way also. I randomly tried The Nail Studio after one of their employees approached me with a discount card. After my first pedicure there, I was hooked! They have three different lengths of time for their pedicures. The most expensive one gives you a super long leg massage. I have never been to a nail studio that actually took the time to give a quality leg rub. The prices are higher than typical nail salons, but I feel that it's worth it because the service is so much better than other places in the area. Most of the time I scheduled my appointments with the owner because I really liked her work, but have tried others and they were good as well. Conversations were always great. They always remembered me when I came in and it felt like I made actual friends! Sadly, I moved and don't go there anymore. I wish I could have taken the salon with me. Very disappointed in this business and the business owner! I went to the shop a few times. The first couple times did a good job but once they think they have you suckered in they start getting relaxed and the nail jobs are terrible. The "no chip" peeled within a couple days, not painting the whole nail, smuged nails and the designs are not what you ask for. Also they can cancel your appointment when it's convenient for them, but if you cancel for an emergency they still charge you for the appointment. Unbelievably unfair. They cancelled my appointment on more than 1 occasion but the one time I had to cancel, they charged me $34.00 and instead of being professionals and understanding, they want to argue. The statement from their website "The Nail Studio will provide you with both superior service and affordable prices" is a complete line of bs. After doing some research for high class nail studios I came across this one and made an appointment. I wanted gel nails, and the nail tech I got had her own opinions of what she wanted to do. That was strike 1. I told her that pointy nails were not my thing and that I just wanted regular square gel nails. She then processed and made them pointy. I told her I did not like them so she just tried to fix the ones already on. I can not believe I had to pay the full price. She did not even feel sorry or anything she just acted like she did such a good job. To my amazement, 2 days later one of the nails broke off. I was furious. I gave them a call and she just said oh come in one day this week and I will fix it. So i made an appointment to fix it, but over the next couple of days all the nails starting falling off and breaking. It was the most horrible service I have ever gotten. She once again did not express that she was sorry, she acted more like she was annoyed that I kept calling. So then I called a 3rd time and asked to speak to the owner. Of course, an hour later the same nail tech calls me back and says oh ive seen that you asked to speak to the owner is there anything I can do? Not only that, but she was actually going to charge me the full price to redo the nails. Are you flipping kidding me?! The worst service ever. I could have easily when to a traditional nail salon for half the price. Absolutely ridiculous. How are you going to charge $60 for nails that fall off and break within 2 days? read more
