Everybody was trying to get in! Took to Yelp and found Puyallup Nails and got someone to answer, and she had an appointment same day. Score! Puyallup Nails is located on the outskirts of downtown Puyallup and very easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled! There's street parking right outside of the shop which I was lucky enough to snag. The shop is really small and there was only one woman working. Definitely a cozier space than I'm used to, but it was great for a fill! Service was great and Kim was really friendly and made lots of conversation during my appointment. My nails turned out great and she saved me from the ick feeling of having overgrown nails. I'll definitely keep Puyallup Nails as an option in my book for future appointments.

When they finally started, the tech used another nail to pry off my old set instead of doing a soak off. It hurt. I said multiple times that it was painful. And asked for a soak off and was told I, should have asked at the beginning. He then moved on to another client, who also yelped in pain. When another person finished my nails, the the French tips were uneven. Some areas weren't fully cured and one nail actually cracked before I even left. Throughout the visit, no one was welcoming or communicative and felt very unwelcoming. I rarely leave reviews like this, but the service and quality, weren't acceptable. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable, and a lot of the nail tech supplies did not look very sanitary or kept up very well

The pedi used to be $20 about 5-6 yrs. ago, now $30 but compared to most places this is the best price I found. I won't pay $45-55+ for pedicure. Ann used a very course file to file my nails down then didn't follow up with a finer file so my nails felt rough. While doing my cuticles she cut me and neglected to use cuticle oil on them. While painting my nails she tried to upsell me on getting my eyebrows done by her and I declined. That didn't stop her, she was persistent by telling me how good she was at eyebrows and how my eyebrows had no shape to them. I politely declined again. After that exchange, Ann opened up her phone to text another client while she was working on me. After the painting was done, no offer of a nail dryer was ever made. She took off to her next client and I sat with my daughter during the rest of her pedicure waving my hands to dry them. I decided to say something to the nice lady at the checkout, who heard me out and agreed that the service I had gotten was subpar, so she had another nail tech try to file my nails better and apply cuticle oil. My nails today, each fingernail is chipping. They look terrible and I will have to remove the polish. It hasn't even been 72 hours since my manicure. The only reason I gave 2 stars is the place is clean and they did try to salvage the poor work done by Ann. If you go here, make sure you get Quinn. She was very nice and helpful and did a nice job trying to fix a bad manicure.
