Mimosa in hand and sat immediately in a pedicure chair. Keep in mind I had made an appointment the week prior. The lady who did my pedicure was very polite and she didn't talk amongst all the other co-workers. I appreciated that. And her paint job was done beautifully. The only complaint I had was the foot massage. It was very minimal. Maybe that was part of my package but it's what I look forward to the most and it was short and sweet. I asked for a FILL and they took off my nails even though I had gotten my nails done 3 weeks ago so I didn't need to get them done (they are trying to get money out of me!). Then they applied a pre-shaped nail which isn't normal and felt like a scam, my nails took not as long as they should've! DO NOT GO HERE THEY SCAM AND WILL MAKE YOU PAY MORE. This is ridiculous. The staff take measures to keep themselves clean and healthy with gloves & masks but the customers do not get the same benefit, the UV nail lamp is caked with resude and not sanitized between customers, the seats, armrests, and other areas clients touch are not cleaned between customers. When I arrive one client leaves and I sit, seat still warm. I have nothing but good things to say about this nail salon. I love the relaxed, laid back, and chill vibe. Cindy was the person who did my pedicure, and she was fantastic. They really know how to pamper you, and it's amazing. They have a great selection of nail polish colors and types, bath salt for your legs, and even assorted drinks like hot chocolate, tea, juice, and coffee. I thoroughly enjoy my experience, whenever I go get my nails done there, although I do not go very often. My powder dip gel came out lumpy and pitted. I called to try and get them fixed before vacation and they said they're too booked to fix their mistakes. My time with Ann felt rushed and I was barely able to look at them before I got home. I don't normally spend money on my nails so this was pretty disappointing. I was recommended to come here and initially I was very thrilled and welcomed with great customer service. Today, the nail tech was doing my nails I noticed she messed a few steps of the "dip powder". Usually, dip powder has its own clear coat and not meant to be used with a gel top coat.. not good to mix the 2 different type of nail products. I've been getting dip for the last 3-5 years and I'm very picky with the order and how techs use the product. The nail tech finishes my nails and I loved them. This specific place uses a gel top coat which I DO NOT like. I come home, take a shower and noticed the "gel top coat" she applied to my nails is peeling off my nails, leaving me now with a matte color. Very dissatisfied and very upset due to the price I paid. Like many others, I haven't had a mani pedi in years thanks to Covid. 8th Day Nails reminded me of everything I'd been missing during lockdown. My nail technician, Bebe, did a fantastic job! I booked a spa manicure and a spa pedicure and got exactly what I had hoped for. This salon offers complimentary beverages ranging from hot tea to mimosas (I'll be back for that next time!) Bebe gave me a wonderful leg and foot massage while I breathed in my choice of scent for the lotion and exfoliating sugar scrub. Update, 08/14/21 While I appreciate the owner for reaching out to me and trying to better my experience, unfortunately this nail salon still fell short. My pedicure was a thousand times better with my technician listening to me very well and taking her time, but my gel manicure is so thick and splotchy I'll probably end up taking it off. It's unfortunate because I really wanted to like this place and the effort is there, but I'm really disappointed by this manicure and for the price I'd pay to go here, I expect more. Original review I called the day before to schedule a mani/pedi appointment for the following day which was a Saturday. Appointment was scheduled for 8am. Everywhere that the business hours are posted suggest that 9am is the time they open, including on the door of the salon. I get there and they are indeed open at 8! That's cool if a little confusing. I'm politely shown the scents for the pedicure, the colors and shown to my chair. The pedicure water was freezing! But she was willing to add warm water after my request. So... toenails. She was working very quickly and my pedicure that should have taken a relaxing HOUR was done in more like 35 minutes. She burned me several times with the hot towels and the rocks even after I made it clear it hurt. She hurt me several times with cuticle clipping. My toenails are uneven after she cut and filed them, the polish is chipped in several places, and there is nail polish on my skin. She also pressured me several times to get gel polish on my toes, even after I made it very clear I didn't want it. Now for fingernails (which I did opt for gel polish on)! Everything started out great until I looked at the "finished" nails. Bubbles and missed sides. When I asked for them to be fixed, she filed out the bubbles and repainted them, but I still had missing sides! She stood over me while the pedicure was being finished with her arms crossed, waiting impatiently, because she was also supposed to do my eyebrows. So eyebrows, the room itself was DISGUSTING. Hair on the table I was meant to lie down on, surfaces that needed a good scrubbing. The actual wax was nice, didn't hurt too and and my eyebrows look good, but that room was gross. I will not be coming back. $133 down the drain, and my nails don't look worth that. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but my recent experience here was so bad that I felt it necessary. I've come here a few times and had pretty good service, and I thought I had found my go-to nail spot. But this time, good LORD. So, let me start this off by explaining that I'm a tad hard of hearing. Years of working loud concerts without proper hearing protection came at a cost. Since Covid began I really realized how much I rely on reading lips in order to understand people. With the masks, the plexiglass, the nail files, and loud music paired with (sometimes) difficult to understand accents it proves very difficult for me to understand what people are saying. In my day-to-day life I usually just end up resorting to the confused head nod and an "uh-huh" but obviously when you're having a service done, communication is a bit more important. I try to clarify this with the nail techs whenever I come in, and usually, they're quite accommodating. Speaking louder and repeating questions and instructions patiently. This, however, was not one of those times. My inability to hear and comprehend what was being asked of me seemed to just annoy her, and the more that I didn't understand the more disgruntled she became. And while I said numerous times to her that I'm, quite literally, unable to hear her she seemed to not buy that. (Ableist much????) She continued to speak in the same low volume, speaking very fast and then glaring as I stared at her dumbfounded. Trying to figure out just what was said. Eventually, she resorted to aggressively gesturing, jerking my hands around/pushing them. If this was all, I wouldn't be here writing this. Unfortunately. The first thing she DID say that was loud enough for me to hear was asking me why I wasn't getting gels this time, as I had said all I wanted this time was a fill and a color change. I went on to explain that I had plans to come back in with some family and get our nails done in a week or two and didn't want to splurge. That and I was leaving my job next week. No biggie, right? Nope! She took real offense to this, ranting on and on about "it's only $14 more for gels! Why wouldn't you get gels?!" Blah blah blah. All rather aggressively. This worsened when she found out the color I was having removed was gel polish. All in all rather insensitive if you ask me, which seemed to be the theme of this appointment so far. When she finished the acrylic part of my fill, she told me to go wash my hands and then PAY before she painted my nails. This threw me off guard seeing as this had never been asked of me prior to this appointment, I've always been made to pay AFTER the entire service was finished. I can't help but think that it had to do with the mix of me not shilling out for gel polish and then also sharing about my job situation. The paint job that was done is already horrid as well. That and she made my cuticles bleed. All in all, a completely horrendous experience. read more

First off I didn't have an appointment so I knew that the likelihood of me getting in was a stretch. I will say they were able to get me in as a walk in. The younger gal at the front was less than thrilled to greet me and ask what I was looking to get done. After identifying what I was looking for she said go pick your color, and since I've never been there I had no idea where to go and again she seemed very hesitant to help in the slightest. Once I got in the older technician who was doing the pedicure was super rough and more concerned about who was coming in the front door. Barley massaged my feet, when she did she was digging her nails into the bottom of my foot as if she was trying to scrape something. And then when it came to the sugar scrub it would've been better if she just didn't do it at all because it was more of an inconvenience for her. It's unfortunate that the places that seem to charge the most struggle to have top notch service and overall low rating, in my opinion.
