Instead of simply adjusting them, she responded, "Why are you asking me this now?" in a rude tone and threw her tools into her cart because she was upset. Later, I asked if she could paint one nail with a color I was deciding between so I could compare it. After seeing it, I politely asked if we could use a different color instead. She became visibly irritated and said, "This is what you asked for," then continued painting with the color I had just said I didn't want, even after I repeated that I wanted to change it. She was incredibly truthful and admitted to not being able to do what I originally wanted so I changed the look . After a couple minutes I changed it again for something more simple as to not take her out of her comfort zone . The first red flag was her just cutting and dehydrating the nail but not doing any cuticle work . For how expensive the place is you'd think they'd clean up the nail before starting . I had to ask to get my cuticles cleaned up . Cool she did them awesome . Stabbed me twice with the cuticle cutters and noticed she hasn't replaced any of the tools she was using from the girl she had just helped before me, this was worrisome because like I said she stabbed me with a tool that she could have been stabbing someone else with leading to infection. I let it go as she was very sweet and I figured maybe she's just a bit tired . She gets to gluing the nails down and they are completely messed up , one nails going to the right while the other is going to the left they just looked a whole mess . I had to ask her to please re do the placement as they looked terrible . We're moving forward alls good , until the drill she's using starts to burn my cuticles more than once ... Now we're putting the color on and everything is going good until an appointment of hers shows up and she starts rushing what she's doing . I'll place a reference picture underneath to show what I wanted and what I got . She did relay that it would not be identical as obviously she's doing someone else's look . The price and the final product just was no where near $95 dollars. The nails on have polish on them yet still look clumpy and the sides are uneven from the filing she did to the sides . My nail was left with a tremendous amount of nail polish around the cuticle because of the airbrush machine she used and the quickness she went to finish for her next guest . Instead of taking the time to clean around the nail she went in very quickly with a brush still leaving a tremendous amount of excess nail polish . I'm not confrontational so I would never ask for a discount or not pay the service I was given with a tip . This review is simply to inform others that if you are planning on doing GelX this may not be the best place for you . To me on my hands they unfortunately look like dollar store press on's that have started growing out . The nail's themselves are not horrendous just not worth the heavy price tag they charge you for them, $95 .I just got the nails done yesterday April 24 and as I left I realized they already looked like they had grown out. Just very dissatisfied with them overall .

I was in town and desperately needed a pedicure. I chose Nails Today because of their great…read morereviews. I called and made an appointment for the next day with no problem. When I arrived, the salon was empty save for the married owners, Vincent and Rose. I was immediately a little worried because the salon looked really old and not well-maintained. I went to go find a polish color from one of the couple of different spots they keep the polish and was disheartened to see that they were kept in total disarray-- different brands all mixed together and no attempt to color block them. But the worst discovery was that all the polishes looked really old and most were 1/2 to 3/4 empty. I opened a few and they looked sticky and old, which I knew would make for a bad pedicure. I finally found a nearly full bottle in a color I was okay with albeit in a brand I don't normally use (because all the OPI and Essies were nearly empty) and brought that over to Vincent. I was excited to discover that the chair I would be sitting in was a massage chair with a remote that I was able to control. That was a nice perk-- to be able to get a full neck, shoulder and back massage while getting my pedicure. As for cleanliness, I didn't notice if the tools Vincent was using had been sterilized, but at one point, he dropped the top coat brush and searched for it on the floor for a long time before finally giving up and getting a different one which I was happy about because I was afraid he was going to pick it up off the ground and continue using it. Vincent massaged my feet and calves longer than a lot of salons to (a few minutes versus ten seconds like some) although I found his pressure to be a little painful. While he was polishing my nails, I noticed he forgot to do a second coat on one of the nails which I thought was weird. I pointed it out though and chalked it up. As he was polishing me toenails, he kept using his own fingernail to dig into my skin to wipe off excess polish. His own nail looked like there was dirt under it so I wasn't too thrilled about that and knew it wasn't hygenic. The real trouble came after I left the salon and went home and got a closer look at the pedicure. There was still polish all over my skin. I have literally never had that happen before at a salon. Plus, my pinkie toenail was only half painted! Literally the entire tip was left unpainted which was crazy-- again, have never had that happen before. Also, he had cut down my nails and upon closer inspection, I realized they had been cut unevenly and weren't a uniform length. They also had sharp edges. So I ended up having to clean all the excess polish and then file some of the nails to even out the jagged parts. Within a couple of days, the pedicure started chipping and looked terrible. I'm used to my pedicures looking great for 3-4 weeks so to have it start chipping after a couple of days was a total bummer. I also noticed that my cuticles were already coming back so I don't think much cuticle work was done either. I was honestly so embarrassed to be walking around with such a janky looking pedicure that I ended up filing my nails to even out the lengths and then completely painting over Vincent's pedicure with a polish I had that was pretty close to the one he had used. I also went in and trimmed my cuticles. So basically, once I had completely redone the pedicure, it finally looked presentable. I have waited a month to write this review because I feel bad because Vincent and Rose were really incredibly sweet people and they have owned that salon for decades. But given how glowing the reviews were-- which is what drew me to the salon-- I felt I had to leave feedback on my frustrating experience. I have no idea if Vincent's eyesight is not what it used to be, or if it was his last appointment of the day and he was just tired and didn't give it his all, or if pedicures just aren't his strong suit. But it was incredibly disheartening to go to a salon to get a pedicure that I then had to completely redo to make it look good.
