I'm pretty bummed about the nails I had done here. I no longer live in the vegas area and my friend loves this place. She does not do dip but said they offered the service so while I was in town I thought why not get my nails done. It has not even been a week and my nails have almost all cracked. The very next day cracks appeared but I thought hopefully they will hold. Sadly they are now chipping away. I have been getting dip nails for almost 12 years and can always keep them on at least 4 weeks intact. The staff here is great and incredibly friendly and accommodating. But I am very upset I just paid to get my nails done and now am having to get them done again in such a short amount of time.

The fastest pedicure I have ever had in my life. From when I sat down in the chair to when the person doing my service walked out the door was less than 20 min. Apparently he took me right before he was leaving. Even though the service was very rushed, he did do a good job so I don't have any complaints about my pedicure. It happened to be on a day when I was trying to kill time but that's ok. You never get the fast pedicure when you're in a hurry right? Only complaint is they do not take the Yelp check in offer. The older woman who rang me up was rather rude about it. If you don't want to accept it then take it off Yelp. It was only 10% so not a big deal. The way it was handled rubbed me the wrong way.

Every time I come here they're very friendly and accommodating. I usually have a hard time keeping gel nails for a long time but coming here they usually last close to three weeks. They do have some deals so call and ask ahead of time! Very clean and a job well done. If this is the nail salon near you, go for it! :-)

Absolutely excellent experience yesterday at this salon. Hugh was so sweet! He is fast and efficient and does an excellent job! I didn't have a lot of time, so I very much appreciated his speed! Full set with ombré nails and full gel pedi with callus removal (and my feet were in rough shape after 10 days in the saltwater and sand!) done in an hour and a half. They got me in right away without an appointment on a Friday at 5pm! I will definitely be back! Thank you for a fabulous experience!

Self care while I await the pizza I was long overdue for a manicure, skin tags all over. I ordered a pizza and had 30 minutes. This location is in the same strip as the place I worked.. I only want a manicure without polish...straightforward. The two ladies appeared well maintained, no other patrons and my pizza will be ready when I finish.The prices are within normal limits for the area. The establishment is clean. It seemed to be going well until another patron walked in. I could see the technician make adjustments although talking the same. I don't usually request much: short nails and all the dead skin, nails shaped as close to the same as possible without being uneven to snag. ..Last night I had dead skin and uneven nails. Disappointed but I went back this morning for the final check. I know speed services are a thing in some businesses but I won't go back this time. Too many options for me read more

It says walk in's welcome but they're NOT! I only went back to this place to fix one broken nail because I'm unsure of the color. When I walked in and asked if she could fix my nail she gave me a dirty look and was acting confused. They are lazy and don't care. (See photo attached) The French on all my nails are different sizes as well. The shape is ALSO wrong, I asked multiple times for tapered square, was ignored. There was also another previous incident where one of the lady's was overbooked and her client came in and so she started rushing my nails and kept ruining them then getting mad at me because I asked her to fix them. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but this is crazy unprofessional and the work isn't even good. read more

First of all let me just say that they did everything they could to fix a hang nail and it took three of them but they did it successfully. However, I paid $100 for a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. The shape and length of my nails were uneven and different from nail to nail and the polish job was sloppy. But that's not the worst part. If the polish they used was gel- like I paid for- then that was the cheapest gel in existence. My manicure lasted for 6 days. Two of my nails painfully broke while I was on vacation during the holidays. The product they use is old or cheap and is damaging and painful when it breaks. That's unethical. read more

I have been a loyal customer for years. But the past few times my nails have been horrible. Never said anything. Until my last gel nail set. It was too bad to not get it fixed. I went in today 3/15 and the staff was so rude. Not one apology from either of the two women who looked at my nails. The older woman was so aggressive while fixing my nails. Nicked my skin with the sander and said nothing. I have never felt so uncomfortable from a service and I was surprised how they treated me since me and my daughter have been customers for years . The one time I complain about my nails after years and this is how they treat a loyal customer ? I will not be returning And hope they work on customer service. read more

SUPER DIRTY! Every tool/accessory is filthy and covered with crusty dirt and dust. Even the basic bowls meant to soak your nails in were 5 year old emptied out dip powder containers. Ended up ending the session short, this place is a breeding health hazard. Not to mention the owners were sleeping on the couch when I walked in, super rude and off-putting people. read more

Having recently moved to this part of town I've been here 3 times now and always leave happy! They are friendly when you walk in, a nice cheery hello! Haven't had to wait more than 10 minutes as a walk-in, which I love because who likes calling and making appointments?. They have a good selection of colors, I have yet to try their nail art skills. I have been introduced to Dip/ Powder by them and wow, I love!! Gel polish is great, but this is the next level of greatness. In my experience gel polish tends to peel after a week or so (I am kinda rough on my nails since I bartend) no matter how good the nail tech is, I've even tried a hard top coat. However with the dip there is no chipping, bending, or peeling. The only downside to the dip is that you can not remove yourself. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, if you're like me and start to pick at your nail polish as it wears this can be a good way to break that bad habit. The Dip/Powder does take a bit longer for the nail tech to remove and apply and the nail art is more limited but plenty of colors to choose from and is helping my nails grow stronger and healthier! read more

Today before work I needed a pedicure so I called and they were able to accommodate me right away. I sat down and my service immediately started I didn't have to wait there .. some gorgeous nice old lady was able to take care of me. She did amazing job on my cuticles clean them up and my color looks spectacular , fabulous massage And super sweet personality. I had inquired about getting my nails done during the same service and all the staff is more than welcome mean and I felt like getting a fill would be a great experience. Turns out her daughter may ended up doing my nails and Maye is the best nail person I've ever had in Vegas !!! She was able to do exactly what I wanted she was able to do it quickly and professionally and my nails look freaking amazing ! My overall experience was way more than I was expecting I already have an appointment booked for next time and I completely forgot to use my 10% off from Yelp but everything was completely worth it ! Just returned from a pedicure for me and my husband. He thought his was good. Me...not so much. All the top edges of my nails are very rough and jagged. Big toes, especially the right one, are very red and sore to the touch around the top and sides. Pinky got smudged when she put disposable slippers on. Very poor repair job. The TL;DR- Do yourself a favor and book your appointment to see Kaylyn!…read more I myself have never gotten any eyebrow services done in fear of an unintentional 90s revival but after ogling over my friend's brows (who also sees Kaylyn), I figured I'd give it a shot. Making the appointment is super easy to do online and you'll get confirmations & texts to remind you of the time. My services were eyebrow shaping with tweezers & brow tint and upper lip tweezing. I had told her that I hate the arches in my brows and that I make them as straight as possible for the shape. She took that into consideration and plucked away! I use retinol on my face and she suggested to forgo the waxing to prevent any skin damage which I greatly appreciated. Hair plucking sucks in general but she still had a gentle touch and she is speedy with the tweezers! She was so detailed with them too. I'm pretty sure she got every hair on my lip. My mustache stood no chance! For my brows, she really took the time to perfect them too and make them clean and even. I have dark hair but being that it was my first time tinting, I didn't want to go too dark with it. I asked for dark brown color with a fade towards the front of the brows. You know, the Instagram brows. She gave me a heads up that the color wouldn't last long with my dark hair but it was no big deal for me. I cannot tell you how much I loved my brows after she was through with them. I honestly never knew my brows were capable of looking like they did. The tint faded and they still looked bomb! Not only is she a knowledgeable wax captain, she's a magician! She definitely worked some magic on my brows! Kaylyn is incredibly sweet, knowledgeable and talented. A triple threat if you will. She's forthcoming with what to expect and makes sure that you're not in for unwanted surprises. Though I was certainly surprised with my brows afterwards and gave a "Daaaaaaamn" when she handed me the mirror (it was a good "damn"). Anything done to your face should be handled with care and the technician should treat it like it's their own face. Kaylyn did exactly that and I'm confident you would feel the same if you see her. :) **EDIT- Wanted to come back and add that I "jumped the plank" and got my first Brazilian wax with Kaylyn! If you're nervous about waxing bellow deck, it's honestly not that bad. It's definitely a religious experience, NGL. Going to echo the same sentiments that she's dang awesome and again made it as quick and painless as possible. I'm honestly so sad that I won't have her back at home. ~THANKS AGAIN KAYLYN!~**

I've had the opportunity to try many waxing places because of it. Most estheticians I've gone to are usually independent and rent a space inside a salon building, but Smooth as Silk is actually a standalone waxing studio. And a beautifully decorated one at that -- reclaimed wood paneling and decor that made for a warm welcome. They even offer bottled water while waiting. A cleansing wipe is provided beforehand and a sheet drape for modesty after undressing. Tori did my wax. She was casual and friendly and turns out she's also the owner. So it goes without saying that I experienced a thorough wax. I'm bad at maintaining my brazilian schedule so it was as if it was my first time waxing, but it wasn't as painful as I anticipated. Thanks! I have a few favorite waxing places in town and this will definitely be added to the list. Their regular price for brazilian wax is $50 which is usually the average to comparable studios.

This is my favorite and the only nail place that I have been to over the last eleven years. I am really like the staffs of this nail place because they are the most genuinely kind and respectful people that you have ever met. However,I was here for my back massage this evening 11/09/2015 when I witnessed and quite frankly was very upset with your unacceptable behavior,Ms Shannon D. Your action was so unladylike. First of all, you stormed into this nail place right after they closed for the day and demanded to have your nails done. But they told you that they were about to go home to their families and you were upset and threatened to post bad reviews to intentionally hurting their business if they don't comply with your demand. About three minutes later you came back with your phone camera and took pictures of this nail place and again you have threatened them for the second time that you were going to ruin their business. You claimed that you are in the sales field and this is how you treat people! Talking down on people,degrading them and creating lies just to manipulate what you want! Shame on you!!! What I would like to find out is who employs you so that I would address this whole childish act of yours to see how your Boss would feel about your unprofessionalism. Our establishment had been here for almost 20 years and we loved by everyone! However, there some misleading informations about us which is not true from this particular person and you know who you are of course but we are still kindly allowing you to come back to our premises for the THIRD times and you would always asking about pricing particularly on Gel Pedicures service which is starting $50 and up even when you have tried to have someone to call us and to asking about the same things with a blocked ID but of course we know who you are. It's sad to see there are actually some bad people out there who tried to hurt this wonderful NAILS R US business by generating lies after lies... My grandma,mom and I have been a regular to this nail salon since 2005 and they have always done a wonderful job on our FRENCH mani/pedi with OPI soak off gel which I think they are a lot nicer than Shellac, or Gellish branchs. Even when it is busy we rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes. There are six manicurists working there and everyone of them are excellent, cheerful and nice. It is in a great location, very open,bright and spotless. Needless to say, we are always happy with this NAILS R US, locates on 60 S. Stephanie and will continue to be their loyal customers. Been going to this same nail salon for NINE years and the staffs here are always being helpful and courteous. The place is sparkly clean and doesn't smell like chemicals and plus they are always doing such emazing jobs on my nails. Everyone here will greet you by name and will offer you different kind of beverages when you come in whether you have appointments or a walk-in customers which I don't find that many salons do that. As a loyal customer, I find it very offensive that there are some perpetrators out there had tried to sabotage this legit business by telling false stories that sound true. Just moved here from Mount Hermon six weeks ago and I was trying to find a nail salon where I can go to on a regular basis because I love having my nails and pedicure done. I was referred by one of my friends to try out this nail place. To my surprise,everyone here is super friendly,accomodating and the place is very clean and they have a huge selections of Opi Axxium Gel colors. Hugo, the owner,gave me the best gel manicure and great massage. However,the only suggestion I would have would be for this salon to open until like 7pm because I won't get off work like 5:45pm on weekdays,except I had to spend my lunch break to come here this afternoon. I was trying to find a new nail salon where I can feel extremely comfortable to come in every two to three weeks to get my hands,feet and waxings done. This is the place! Not only I felt welcome as soon as I walked in.They did an IMAZING job on my gel manicure/pedicure and waxings. Their staffs here are very attentive and honest. I could not agree more with Tori and Kandace positive comments. I myself live in Boulder City but I would not mind the driving to this cozy nail place locates on Stephanie/Paseo Verde. This place is always clean and the staff are cool to talk to while having your nails done. They speak excellent English here and that's a big plus! I have been here about 5 times and have had great customer service each time. They always greet you and have you take a seat, pick polish, etc. I normally get gel nail polish, and sometimes acrylic (powder). Most of the techs are pretty good at designs. Though there are significant language barriers with some of them, they're not offended if you grab one of the ladies who speaks better English to translate. The pedicure service was extremely disappointing. The nail technician rushed through the entire appointment. He only cleaned under the nails on one foot, poured cuticle softener all over the top of my feet and lower legs, and did not properly remove the existing polish, buff my nails, or add anything to the water for a proper soak. The callus remover wasn't used during the service either. After the pedicure was essentially finished and the water had already been drained and lotion applied, I asked about the callus removal. He said he "forgot" and then attempted to do it afterward. Once I mentioned that I am a licensed cosmetologist, he insisted on doing the callus remover and refilled the tub, but there was still no proper soak. Because it was rushed, one foot was left noticeably rougher than the other. He then had to wash off the lotion to remove the callus treatment. The massage was also very rough and uncomfortable rather than relaxing. When I went to start the hard gel service, I asked the nail technician for the manager. She immediately asked why. When I explained that I wasn't happy with the pedicure, she responded with a sarcastic and dismissive attitude. She repeatedly said, "You're the nail tech for five years, you tell me what you want." I explained that I wanted the tip placed over my natural nails because I am growing them out and asked her not to cut them. She continued repeating that it would "look different in the back," even after I told her I was fine with that. She kept saying, "You're the nail tech, you should know," in a very antagonistic, unprofessional, and condescending tone. She also mentioned she has been a nail technician for 16 years but said she cannot do sculptured nails and only works with tips which to me is a failure if ur still stuck at the basics after almost 2 decades. I eventually spoke with the manager, who resolved the situation by adjusting the service and charging me only for a polish change, which I was fine with. However, the overall atmosphere was extremely unprofessional, and the experience was very unpleasant. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.
