I am baffled that I see some poor reviews. I have 5 huskies, I had 6 equines, a barn cat and a lot of chickens. Let's start with my five huskies. In 2018 my husband and I moved out to Byers. The Musketeers was the best rated vet I could find. I took my oldest husky, Fang in for a growth on her foot. They cut the growth off and sent out labs. It was cancerous but they got everything so she's fine. She is about to be 11 next month. I loved how great they were with her that we started taking all of our dogs there and the rescues dogs. We never had issues. Dental time came and they were incredibly reasonably priced. I was in shock. Sometimes for vet clinic we bring the dogs into the office, but other times Dr Cass and Gina just make house calls for the yearly check ups. One day two of our huskies got into a bad fight and one was pretty beat up. I told my husband to call Gina to advise us of the best place to go and she told him to meet her at the office. I cried I was so happy she'd do this. My dog survived, multiple stitches later and one less tooth. All I care is I have my pup. Gina made this happen. Now our equines. We had 5 horses and mini mule. Two of our horses were older. Dr Cass did everything she could to keep our poor Athena alive but she passed. Her companion Apollo showed no health issues but lost all his weight, probably dying of a broken heart. Gina had to put our beloved Apollo down and when she came to do it she was so nice. I cried the whole time because he was our best horse. They sent us a card after which was extremely thoughtful. Now our two youngest boys, not only did Gina and Cass go through hell castrating these two boys, but they decided to get bitten by a rattlesnake. We kept calling Strasburg Vet and kept getting pushed back hours and hours. I finally called the musketeers again and Gina had her people out in drive time even though they were super busy with farm calls and regular vet calls. Our boys were good and did fine. Strasburg forgot about us, because we never cancelled and they never came. Yeah, some reviews say they don't answer the phone, and yeah sometimes they don't. You know why I don't care? Because I've been that person coming in on an emergency listening to that phone ring but all they care about at the time is my animal. So if it comes to my animals care and them answering my call, I'll happily call 500 times if need be. They're a small practice but they are the best I have ever used. They have never once let down my family. Cass doesn't remember our names but she remembers our animals names and honestly that's how I know my own neighbors. So I'm okay with that. Gina is the nicest, she is like the best friend you want to have. Like I said, I have a lot of animals, and I trust Gina and Cass with every single one of them. Which my husband would tell you I trust no one with my animals. I will always recommend this vet to everyone I meet. read more

I have a high maintenance old GSD. Gina and staff are so patient with my pup. She is a talker, who ever works on/with her talks to her. Calms her and talked the extra minute to confirm her. My first experience with this vet clinic was when I had to have my senior dog put down. The staff was beyond incredible and so very compassionate. We ended up getting a puppy and have had them as our primary vet since and I will not go anywhere else! I just love everyone who works here, and they're so great about working with you and taking care of animals. My pup especially loves visiting which says something to me! read more

The Musketeers have always treated my animals wonderfully, whether it be routine checkups or helping our furry family members cross the rainbow bridge. All of the staff are amazing! Gina, the owner is caring, compassionate and is there for not only the animals but their humans. Most recently I found out one of my cats had cancerous tumors and his organs were shutting down. From the moment Gina gave me his diagnosis until his last breath Gina was so caring and loving to my boy. We were able to release him from his suffering where he was comfortable, at home in my arms thanks to Gina coming to us. I am forever grateful to Gina and all of her crew for taking great care of all of my babies, both the ones that live with me and all of the rescues I have brought them for medical attention and help finding them forever homes. Worst Animal Clinic "Ever". they will price gouge you and hold your pet hostage. charging $5,000 - $8,000 for treatment that other clinic only charge $200 for. I would NEVER recommend taking your pet there if you ever want to see them again!!! They are simply Criminal!!! they do Not have the Animals at Heart, they want to make all the $$ Money out of you that they can. Simply Disgraceful. I took my 14-16 year old dachshund to get adjusted by Dr. Cassie. She is wonderful, highly recommended her. Oscar passed away in late August. Since then we have a seven month old Golden Retriever. I had scheduled an appointment to get him checked out on Saturday. I canceled via text message on Thursday through a reminder text message I received from Musketeer vet practice. I called Saturday morning to make sure they got the message and that we would not be coming in. I received a call Saturday morning stating we are being charged a $25 Cancellation fee although I canceled Thursday via text message when they sent me a text reminder message. I was told "you're not getting anywhere with those text messages." If I would have known that I would not have text, I would've called Thursday. They continued to charge $25 although it was the first time I had ever heard of them charging for any late or missed visits. The lady I spoke with said it's been posted it in the clinic as of August. $25 is not a big deal, however we live 35 minutes away. Thursday to Saturday is very close 48 hours, we weren't given a warning. We have not been inside the clinic since before they implemented the change. Very disappointing this company is willing to lose customers over a $25 fee that we were not notified of once it was implemented. We won't be coming back, unfortunately. read more

I messaged Gina on FB along with another vet concerning our pregnant cat, Hannah. We had gotten our dates wrong and were concerned she was way overdue. Gina kept in contact with me to make sure Hannah was okay. I wasn't expecting that and was pleasantly surprised! Thursday(5/2/19) night, the kittens were almost 2 weeks old, we noticed our Hannah wasn't tending to them like she normally would. We noticed that she could barely walk and would cry out in pain if we picked her up! I messaged Gina again on FB early morning Friday(5/2/19), she responded quickly as she normally does. I told her I needed to get Hannah in ASAP and that I would take her to an emergency vet in Aurora but by the time I did The Musketeers Practice would be open. She let me bring Hannah in right at 8, when they opened. As soon as we walked through the door Hannah was welcomed into a room. They did amazing with her and did everything that they possibly could to tend to her! She was low on calcium and had an infection! We received nothing but amazing care and I would without a doubt bring Hannah or any of my other pets back here. It doesn't feel like a vet to us and is a VERY comfortable place. The decor and everything about The Musketeers Practice makes it feel extremely welcoming! read more

I have brought a few animals to the Musketeers for spay/neuters. I brought a kitten for a neuter, which was an abdominal surgery, but according to staff went quite well. Sent home with cone and anti-inflammatories. I isolated my kitten in the bedroom. Gave him sedation to make sure he would remain calm. After all... he was a kitten. The Swelling at his incision site kept getting worse. So I msgd Musketeers vet and sent pics upon their request . They said he may be reacting to the stitches and Had me switch the sedatives he was getting. The next day, now almost a week later, the lump on his belly doubled in size! It was almost the size of my fist. I called and they wanted me to send another pic!!!!! And no they did not have time to see him. I rushed him to my regular veterinarian. He had completely herniated and had to go in for a 600$++ surgery. My vet said that it was because whoever stitched him up at his initial surgery had done the stitches incorrectly!!!! I emailed Musketeers and instead of taking responsibility they told me it was my fault since I said he was active. ( I had honestly told them he was active so I gave sedatives to calm him.!!!). I have had spayed female cats that were far more active and did not herniate their intestines out. Musketeers refuses to refund me for their mistake. I have been informed that they make quite a few mistakes like this! Don't take your pet to them. They are not fair. They don't take accountability for their mistake. I spent 300$ for my kittens surgery with them. The least they could do was refund that. I have now spent 1000$ on my kitten. read more

I have been to a few vets in my life and have NEVER had better service in my life. Gina, Dr. Cassie and all the people who work there make a vet visit very comfortable. We see Gina every 3 weeks and they are now our family. My dog knows Gina by name and loves when every 3rd Friday comes and he can see her. Hands down the best vet clinic on the eastern plains! read more

Everyone here is amazing with my and my bf's dogs. I brought the 4 Shiba Inus in for heart worm testing and meds and because of how great the vet and tech are with animals all 4 left happy. I also brought in our skiddish new Kishu Ken later that day. She was comforted by one of the children. The vet and tech were especially patient and kind to her to help ease her anxiety. This clinic has really good pricing and is willing to work with feral cats. We brought in a neighborhood feral cat and they fixed her and gave her all her shots. I recommend them for their great pricing and how well they care for animals. read more

I went on DORA and the CACVT web site to check and see if Gina M. Yeater was in fact a CVT and she was not registered on either of these sites that I could find. I also found out that there are different types of vet techs- the highest being RVT, then a LVT and the lowest being a CVT. 1) 7/5/18-She gave "expert" testimony in a court case in which she was NOT subpoenaed and I called and checked with the court and they only showed my subpoenas as being on file with the court, providing privileged and confidential information without a court order or consent of the owner (me). She provided an attorney with privileged and confidential medical records without my consent or a subpoena. Therefore she violated the "where a veterinary-patient-client privilege exists, the records are not available to the public," according the AVMF. I also feel that by her testifying as an "expert" witness where she addressed how to diagnosis and treatment that she was practicing/performing services beyond the scope of her competence and practice. Therefore her testimony was nothing but hearsay and she completely misrepresented herself to the court as this should have been done by the DVM who actually treated Merlin-the pit bull. Since she or Merlin's records were not subpoenaed, she did this on her own free will and I feel as a vendetta against me. 2) 2/23/18-I had a credit on my account at the MVP. Merlin had to have his spleen removed. When we went back to get his staples out, this was to be a follow up appointment and no charge. During that visit I asked about the biopsy report. The DVM went and got it and we went over it. Of course I had questions regarding the report. Since this was supposed to be a "NO charge" visit when we finished I just left. Nothing was said to me about being charged for that visit. I didn't find out later that Gina Yeater felt I had taken up too much of the DVM time and decided to charge me for that visit and since I had a credit she just went in and took the money out of my account. Had I not brought it to her attention she probably would have never told me she just went in and took the money. As it was it took me several attempts by phone to try and reach her regarding this matter and I ended up having to go into the clinic to find out what she did. 3)4/20/18- Merlin then had to have knee surgery. During recovery he developed a large lump on the inside of that leg right below the knee. I called and spoke to Gina Yeater and she told me it was just swelling and has it heals it should go down. The lump was still there when I had to take him in to get those staples out. As Gina was taking out the staples I pointed out the lump that was still there. She said that was where we took a bone graft. I said a bone graft, I was never told about a bone graft being done, I was afraid she was going to again charge me for the visit since I was asking questions again, but she didn't. I then requested the x-rays that were taken after surgery and the surgical report. I contacted another DVM about this lump and also that on x-rays I noticed a hold in the middle of his bone. This DVM told me that he did not have a bone graft, that the hold is used to place an instrument so when applying the hardware the get the correct angle needed so that knee will function normal once healed. The other DVM told me to keep an eye on the lump that if it does not go away that means there is a medical issue that will need to be treated. Thankfully that lump went away. read more
