They've been great with my cats & my roommates dog as well. I have had several vets see them for their check-ins and everyone is fantastic. The prices are about average for the area, though their farm trip rate are cheaper than some of the neighboring vets travel rates. I also have to give a quick shout out to Joe & Mary - they are fantastic and always so friendly & helpful.

Orchestrated by groomer Naomie, the sessions were a complete disaster as my dog's coat was brutally butchered, stripping away the top layer and leaving only the white undercoat. It's disheartening to realize that, even after two years, the top coat has failed to regain its former glory due to the sheer incompetence performed by this groomer at Living Springs . The photos, left to right over a year later five months after two months before Of course, this clinic will pass accountability and recommend seeing a vet as if I have sat on this for years, have yet to test, and have yet to reach out to experts across this state. Despite subjecting the dog to a full blood panel, including a comprehensive thyroid examination every six months across three different clinics, the results came back normal and healthy, and the dog remains highly active. The only sign of any endocrine symptoms is exactly what Naomie physically did to this poor animal. Upon inspection of the dog, my groomer, who is highly competent and has expertise working with double-coated breeds, instantly raised serious questions about the drastic change and the physical disappearance of the top coat. My groomer questioned the tools Living Springs employed on the dog. My groomer said she would never engage in such aggressive grooming over two days as this clinic did. Stating the "lack of a substantial gap between sessions is not just a red flag; it's a glaring sign of negligence and incompetence." I couldn't agree more. . I welcome this clinic to showcase before and after pictures of their handiwork. It is truly disgraceful what Living Springs did.

Their staff, across the board, greeted us with only compassion and kindness. Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

There was so much empathy throughout the experience, that it took away the awkward or embarrassing concerns. They also offered counseling services. To me, this was worth the higher price you pay- rather than going to the vet to do this.

The question is, "Is there such a thing as a dog whisperer?" Good question…read more We needed one. Our 1 1/2 year old pointing lab became gun shy and shut down. He refused to hunt or even move on his own when out in a field. It was horribly sad and most likely my fault. Then we rescued a 4-year-old red bone coon hound mix. What can you do with a hound dog when you are an upland game bird hunter? The two dogs quickly became best buddies. We searched high and low for a dog trainer who could possibly help. Finally, a decision to call Jennifer Goodwin at Valhalla-Bijou Hunt Club was made. She called back that evening, we discussed the issues, and a date was set to meet and see what we, or more appropriately, she could do. After a few training sessions I watched our lab hunt today. If you were to ask, I would say Jennifer performed miracles each time she worked with our dogs. She figures out what each dog is up to and has the understanding and patience, lots of patience, to effectively help the dog. She quickly saw that our hound dog could be used for support and confidence to help get our lab excited about birds. She utilized the competition between the two dogs as an advantage to correct the lab's behavior. As an example, I watched as she trained our hound dog to stay. When I tried, I couldn't get more than a few feet away before he would break. Within a couple minutes she had him stay and was able to move 30 feet away and he still didn't break until she told him to. Jennifer has never worked with a hound dog before, but she said she loves a challenge. Challenge downright conquered. Same thing with the kennel command and many other challenging steps in the process. You might think that Jennifer uses some special or harsh methods. Nope. Jennifer is just smart, very smart, understands what makes a dog tick, knows how to fix problems, and she is nice! So, the answer to the question is yes, I am sure there are many great dog whisperers out there and Jennifer Goodwin is most certainly one of the best. I did watch our lab hunt today.

Interestingly enough, my other dog (incredibly timid) benefits from the visits as well. He usually accompanies his sister during her treatments and at first, he was super shy, cowered whenever someone merely looked in his direction let alone tried to pet him... the whole shebang. But now he's much braver and even goes up to the doctors to greet them; something he would've never done prior to sitting in on sessions. It's so cool that everyone greets Domino and Pepper and remembers us by name. We pay out of pocket instead of going through pet insurance, and each visit's cost is very reasonable. It's a flat rate that covers all of the treatments for the day, whether it's time on the water treadmill, floor exercises, acupuncture, laser therapy, ultrasound, etc. Even better, our pup gets to enjoy all the goodies that help her focus during her rehab session. Overall, I can't recommend Walking Paws enough. It's truly changed my dog for the better and I look forward to working with them as we continue to manage my dog's arthritis.

My dog didn't even get any treatment at all that day. And their therapist did insinuate it could be a neural sheath tumor. I'm not sure how the owner could dispute that when she wasn't even in the room to hear the conversation. Finally, our vet did not recommend the bump get biopsied at all. Given it's location, size and moveability, she recommended just monitoring it monthly. Also neither the therapist or vet indicated it wasn't anything serious or suggested it would be good to continue with the appointment. And they never made it clear before I left, that I would be charged the full $200 even though my dog received no treatment at all that day. The fact of the matter is rather than showing some compassion and good customer service, they chose to scare me, then take my money.
