I took my baby into VEG on Hampden on 5/24/25. Kitty had taken a turn for the worse and although I had scheduled an in-home euthanasia for her at noon, at 5am she was not doing well and I couldn't watch any longer. The staff at VEG Hampden were wonderful for such a heartbreaking moment. My partner and I had so much time to grieve and be with my cat before and after they put her to sleep. I was so worried beforehand about it being too cold and clinical for my Kitty's final moments, but they had such warmth and kindness toward her during the entire process. I felt heard and respected about my wishes for Kitty and today I picked up her ashes in the most beautiful wooden box thank you to the vet who worked early morning last Saturday thank you a million times. RIP sweet Kitty

We rushed him over, I think we were fortunate that night didn't have a lot of other animals coming in and were quickly taken to a room, as they took our cat back for initial observation. We waited roughly 30 minutes in that room until the head veterinarian that night came in to give us her diagnosis along with two separate treatment plans each with a different costs. Let's get this out of the way, medical care and treatment is expensive for humans and animals. Most negative reviews of this location mention issues with cost. A routine annual wellness exam alone at my primary provider is around $150 for roughly 5 minutes of my vets actual time. Now imagine around the clock care cost and a list of medications that can quickly add up. I highly recommend looking into pet insurance or saving as much as possible to get your animals the treatment they need to save their lives. The staff all were extremely attentive, understanding, and honest. The vets answered our every question and made sure we had ample updates. I can't imagine the toughness they need with some of the cases they see daily. They are nice people who deal with so much so please have some compassion for them as well. If you're a staff member reading this, thank you for saving our Miso . In summary, I hope to never have to come here again because it means one of our fur babies are in a bad spot medically but I know they will do everything they can to get them better.

Dr. Vernon did everything he could to help and was always available when we had questions or concerns. We knew that everyone there really cared about our kitty and how he was doing. When it was unfortunately time to say goodbye to our sweet boy they sent a very thoughtful condolence card that meant a lot to us. The Emergency department was also wonderful when we had to bring our cat in when he wasn't feeling well - there were several emergency visits needed throughout the year, and every vet we met was attentive and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing Oncology or Emergency services for their pet.

Their staff, across the board, greeted us with only compassion and kindness. Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. On the day I decided to put my dog down, I called Dr. Clint and had a hesitation and ended my call before he answered. I received an immediate call back with reassurance and sympathy. Then, The doctor said my dog must have ate marijuana. I don't use illicit drugs or drink. I saw my puppy eat the flowers.
