I took my baby into VEG on Hampden on 5/24/25. Kitty had taken a turn for the worse and although I had scheduled an in-home euthanasia for her at noon, at 5am she was not doing well and I couldn't watch any longer. The staff at VEG Hampden were wonderful for such a heartbreaking moment. My partner and I had so much time to grieve and be with my cat before and after they put her to sleep. I was so worried beforehand about it being too cold and clinical for my Kitty's final moments, but they had such warmth and kindness toward her during the entire process. I felt heard and respected about my wishes for Kitty and today I picked up her ashes in the most beautiful wooden box thank you to the vet who worked early morning last Saturday thank you a million times. RIP sweet Kitty

Good day to everyone, +++ I could only speak one my behalf…read more +++ HIGHLY RECOMMEND +++ I WAS PANICKING, YET CALM +++ I won't mention names, so I will only mention the team. The staff working the shift on 8AM-10AM (01/06/2026) were busy take note that there may have been some appointments... but they manage to assure me that everything will be fine. I am sure it is per say on each shift. But I felt like the call to action was immediate... before I got to sign any paperwork or ask for anything (I was in the process of handing them my ID). A nurse or doctor came to help my dog he is like a son to me. The VCA @ ALAMEDA, made the process smooth. After they left to check up on him. The ladies that are at the front counter were very friendly. And my information was jotted down on the system. They have a TV so you can see what your dogs wait time is and they even have the system text you. They also prioritize dogs the number (1) is a severe case I assume the (1) would cut in line... while number (3) is less severe than number (2), hopefully the concept is understanding. And they also show you on the TV what priorities number the patient is. Anyways... getting to the point... the nurses were asking me questions while I was in the lobby.... And I gave them all the information I could give. I was really worried but I think it didn't show but I was in a state of panic, thying to find what went wrong, although I have a very organized apartment... long story short I'm speculate that my T.H.C. was the reason for this situation... I am unable to find out how he may have done it... but in the end even if it was human error... I would have to take jurassic measure (I use the cartridge so I am not sure what to say but to be careful about where things may be... because it's the little things that make it that much worse) I can say I am in some sort of recession with my person. I didn't know that I would be in a veterinary clinic today. The amount was reduced by the laddies at the front counter. A controversial act to some but that now makes me more likely to go into this location rather then a competitor, so the future profits will probably go to them rather then the XYZ companies. I know that management knows that this team rocks! I hope that this is known that perhaps this may have the best interest for all parties, because of this how this particular situation was handled by the staff. P.s. "He is much more better" Thank you I will be glad to say that this can be taken as a learning opportunity. -ANGEL

They got him in for a CT scan quickly, gave us options to keep him comfortable with the breathing issues he was having, and he was scheduled to start radiation within a week. After completing SRT Radiation with Dr. Vernon our cat was in partial remission and breathing much better, and thankfully we had another happy 10 months with him. Dr. Vernon did everything he could to help and was always available when we had questions or concerns. We knew that everyone there really cared about our kitty and how he was doing. When it was unfortunately time to say goodbye to our sweet boy they sent a very thoughtful condolence card that meant a lot to us. The Emergency department was also wonderful when we had to bring our cat in when he wasn't feeling well - there were several emergency visits needed throughout the year, and every vet we met was attentive and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing Oncology or Emergency services for their pet.

Their staff, across the board, greeted us with only compassion and kindness. Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

The vets I called lacked the sympathy and understanding. It seemed to be more of a business deal instead of the important last day for me and my pup. On the day I decided to put my dog down, I called Dr. Clint and had a hesitation and ended my call before he answered. I received an immediate call back with reassurance and sympathy. There was no rush with Dr. Clint. Dr. Clint took the time to ensure I understood the process. He allowed me to walk out at anytime if needed. You truly messed with the wrong person when it comes to me and I also have a very large social media presence. I should make a viral story about this and warn everyone in Colorado about this place. People come to you with EMERGENCIES- and you guys just kill their animals with no consequences. That changes now. So none of us are crazy your office is really this bad. Shame on all of you. This office killed my cat with zero explanation and I was too naive and stressed to realize what was happening at the time---and I have never been able to get over it. Then we had another emergency and my mom mistakenly took her kitten here without realizing that this was the clinic who killed our other cat. They were about to kill her little kitten too and I found out and rushed over here and took her to another place. They found the problem in 10 minutes and got her the right treatment. This place is DANGEROUS. The staff is so bad it's like talking to moronic teenagers. They are rude and don't care that you're stressed about your pets life. Don't trust anything they tell you! This place traumatized me for life when they murdered my first cat. They literally never gave me any explanation and I should have taken him anywhere else and gotten real help. If they want to put your animal down you need to get a second opinion. If they tell you they can't figure out whats wrong- you need to run to another facility. I am not sure how the owner sleeps at night. You're a disgusting greedy horrible person. This many reviews saying the same thing is not a fluke. This place needs to go. Every vet is expensive these days but just like the other reviews say.. you can tell this clinic ONLY cares about money and it's really disturbing.
