If your pet is healthy and just needs routine care, our experiences were generally fine. However, if your pet has a more complicated medical issue and you need thorough, knowledgeable care that you can trust, I would recommend going elsewhere. Our dog Bruno tested positive for Ehrlichia this year, and we discovered his 2025 IDEXX result had also been changed from negative to positive. We were never notified or given the opportunity to discuss treatment or follow-up. Dr. Anseth completely missed this result, and it went unaddressed for over a year. The practice says they were not notified by IDEXX of the change, and we are still waiting for a written explanation. We also found our recent conversations with Dr. Kim extremely frustrating. We left with more questions than answers, felt she talked in circles, and there was very little room to actually ask questions or understand our options. Ultimately, this experience completely broke our trust in the practice. We're moving all of our dogs to another veterinarian and wish we had done so sooner.

She said she would NOT euthanize my dog, I asked "WHY?" and said to me "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SLEEP AT NIGHT?" Therefore I left Goldsmith with my dog. How can any Veterinarian say that to a client? This is shameful and Dr. Meacham has no business being a Veterinarian.

After a chest…read morexray and lab draw (pending results) , I was reassured multiple times that she was going to "be fine" and that her condition could be managed by getting her out of heart failure. Based on those assurances and no other reasoning to be concerned per the vet, I agreed to proceed with medical management of the heart failure. I questioned given her age and decline in kidney function if this was the appropriate plan given her age, requesting only comfort for her and quality of life. I again was reassured she would "be fine" with extreme enthusiasm. Less than 24 hours later, I came home to find my dog had died, probably suffering with her breathing , all alone. She had prior kidney damage and now suspected much more severe heart failure , and I strongly feel I was not given an honest or realistic understanding of her prognosis considering her age and condition. Furthermore, when reading the medical records I requested , it was noted that the option to see a cardiologist was discussed (which I did decline), but also which was NOT discussed but documented by vet in the records was the option to admit overnight . Of course I would've done this if it was offered , suggesting this issue is more severe than just a routine medication fix. Had I been properly informed of the severity of her health status and likelihood of rapid decline, I would have chosen her to be admitted over night , but since I wasn't, peaceful euthanasia so I could have been present with her and prevented unnecessary suffering. There was failure to appropriately communicate the seriousness of my dog's condition and end-of-life options which makes me question the integrity of the provider. Was I a bill? Why wasn't I given the full picture and the option to decide which choice to choose to have the final moments with my baby? I was heart broken to say the least and I will forever remain with the guilt that I didn't speak up more for my dog to give her the best options for comfort with her overall health picture. Disclaimer, since I would pay all the money to have my dog back, I still would like to add I paid a substantial amount of money ($878) for false reassurance. I can however say I was reimbursed for the meds which cost $200 which she only had 1 dose of because she died before I could even treat her.

Explanation follows: I went to a different vet with my previous dog. But, I got a new puppy and thought I'd give another vet a try. I found a coupon in a mailer for FREE distemper combo & rabies vaccines with paid examination. I told them my puppy wasn't due for these vaccines until the following month. They said, "No problem. Bring him in and we'll do the exam now and then you can just bring him back for the FREE vaccines next month. So, I paid $45 for the exam. I brought the puppy back in a month and showed them the coupon and the vet tech again said, "No problem. This will cover your vaccines for today so you won't be charged." Then, they gave my puppy the vaccinations and proceed to present me with a bill for $102.51. They refused to honor the previous word to me. They said they would never tell anyone to come back for the free vaccines. They also said the coupon wasn't good for puppy vaccines! But, they said the coupon was fine and valid in November AND THEY TOLD ME TODAY THAT IT WAS VALID BEFORE THE PUPPY RECEIVED THE SHOTS!!! And, if it wasn't bad enough that they didn't honor their coupon or their word... THEY CHARGED ME FOR ANOTHER EXAM TODAY!!!! So, they lost my business! I will never go there again.

It now appears that the vet is closed, even though we've received no information from the vet directly that they've closed, just saw a pop up on the website. We've had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Goodman and Alyssa, the tech. They've were wonderful and helped us advocate for our dog when Dr. B either did not communicate with us or was not receptive to our concerns. One of our dogs had a mass removal surgery with Dr. B, who we never got to meet before the surgery. The whole situation from start to finish was poorly handled by Dr. B and the entire mass was not even fully removed. Other staff and Dr. Goodman did not agree with how the surgery was done and the aftercare by Dr B, including removing staples before they were ready. I witnessed a tense interaction between Dr B and a tech where they argued in front of me about if the staples were ready and the need for further pain meds and antibiotics. After discussing my concerns with Dr B that the mass wasn't fully removed, he stated he would do the second surgery for free if "I cared that much about my dog aesthetics". I explained that I was not interested in putting my dog under any time soon but that I was completely dissatisfied with how the situation was handled. Dr B crossed his arms and said he was sorry I was disappointed and didn't know what else he could do after offering to do the second surgery for free. I don't believe that Dr B should be practicing, whether this clinic stays closed or reopens. Hopefully we will be able to get our vet records.

After a horrible experience at a traditional veterinary office left my 14-year-old cat, Clarky, so traumatized and terrified that they couldn't even examine her because she became extremely aggressive out of fear, I was honestly dreading having to take her anywhere again. Having The Pawlyclinic come to my apartment was a complete game changer. Dr. Rahim was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly patient and gentle with Clarky, and she took the time to explain what she was doing and why throughout the entire visit. She also asked so many thoughtful, thorough questions about Clarky's diet, activity level, vision, behavior, and changes I've noticed as she's gotten older. I never felt rushed. What I appreciated most was that the visit wasn't just about treating her ear infection--it was also about looking at the bigger picture of keeping my senior kitty healthy and happy. Dr. Rahim gave me so much helpful information about things to watch for as Clarky ages, and I feel much more informed and confident about caring for her. Dr. Rahim and Avery were both so kind, calm, and compassionate with Clarky. She is VERY skittish around new people and definitely has a little spicy side , but they met her exactly where she was and treated her with so much patience and respect. It was such a relief to see her being cared for without the fear and struggle we experienced at the previous vet. I would HIGHLY recommend The Pawlyclinic to anyone with a nervous, fearful, skittish, or "spicy" cat--or honestly, any pet who doesn't do well with traditional vet visits. Having compassionate veterinary care come to your home can make such a difference. I'm so grateful we found them!

Dr. Rahim and her team are exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and patient. I honestly learned more about my cats in one visit than I did in years at other clinics -- and the cost is very comparable to an in-office visit. Dr. Rahim's team quite literally saved one of our cats' lives this last Christmas. When he had stopped eating, grooming, and interacting -- and we thought that it was going to be time to say goodbye -- Dr. Rahim made multiple after-hours visits, coordinated surgery with an on-site clinic, and provided compassionate guidance through an incredibly difficult time.
