She was friendly and gentle with him. They rang me up when he was all done for pick up. Coconut smelled like a clean boy and looked as white as snow! Three visits and vaccines. We chose the place based on location. However, the front office staff has continuously been unwelcoming, and unprofessional. Each time I've called to make and appointment or ask a question, the staff's attitude is lacking concern almost as if it's an inconvenience to provide service. In house made an appointment but when we arrived, early, they rescheduled us for the next Monday due to their error. On the next Monday we waiting on the room over an hour before seeing the Doctor. It's obvious they had surgical procedures going on, so why schedule us and waste our time twice. The doctor was aware that my dog was having treatment out of town, and he appeared to be interested in the outcome and even encouraged us to give the treating doctor his information. Upon returning I tried to schedule the follow-up appointment, again the front office with their unprofessional, unbothered, nature instead of making the appointment and taking the information so we can meet with the veterinarian inserts her own opinions. The treating doctor was sending pathology and records, her: "I haven't received anything" okay well they will be there before our follow up appointment. "We need the records" okay, I saying there is a supplement that we may need at the appointment in two weeks, again she cuts me off. We decided at that moment to find a new veterinarian office. The doctor himself ois fine, but if the front office staff is so off-putting and unprofessional with my time then we have MANY options for veterinary services and will gladly take our business and money elsewhere. I made a wellness appt for my pup about 3-4 weeks in advance. The day before my appt, I get a call from the clinic asking if I can come in sooner or later (which I didn't mind) and we worked out a time. I arrived at my scheduled time, we were checked in and put in a room. After over 20 minutes of waiting, no one had come to see us. When I stepped out of the room to ask the front desk clerk if someone would come by, she was apologetic and said she would grab a nurse.The nurse came by minutes later and explained that they had someone call in and they were still tending to the 11 am appt (it was after 12:30 at the time). I had questions for the vet and she stated she'd go grab them to come by. Another 15 minutes go by and no one came to check on us. There was no one at the front desk, so I walked out and left very frustrated. I understand many places are understaffed, but they could have called to let patients know they were running behind, or offered to reschedule. Doctor H is the most compassionate vet I ever met. My GSD had to have ear surgery for hematomas and he did an excellent job. He is very patient, kind and knowledgeable. He walked me through the process and made me feel so comfortable answering all my questions. All of his staff is wonderful as well. They all treat your fur babies like they're their own. When I had a cat that was dying in pain, I called to say we were brining him in to the office immediately, I was told they were booked! We took him anyway and had to wait too long for him to get pain med. He was put down after. I would suggest the staff be given training in scheduling and organization, a little more professional . Everyone we spoke with on staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The manager for the grooming department - Brandon - is very knowledgeable and excited about what he does. Our Wheaten Terrier's haircut was perfect - she hasn't looked that good in a long time! The price was extremely reasonable, and they INCLUDE things that other groomers consider "upgrades", such as nail grinding and nicer shampoo/conditioner. This is definitely our new groomer! When you go, bring cash for a tip - their credit card machine doesn't have a line to add the tip (although the woman at the desk is working on getting that added). read more

I adore this place!! I'd been taking my dog to PetCo for several years for grooming and he would literally spend the entire day there. 8 hours was common! Ugh! HOWEVER, once we started taking Milo (shih tzu) here I couldn't be more ecstatic. He's never been there more than 3 hours and he looks amazing and smells amazing once the groomers have finished with him...and for $30 cheaper than PetCo charges for not so great work!! I recently brought my husky into the Green Valley Ranch Pet Center about a problem he was having and they were able to help him get better. The reason I leave them a 1 star review is because of the following. My same dog unexpectedly tore his ACL less than a week later and required surgery. Due to the emergency and limited capacity at Green Valley Ranch Pet Center I took him to another vet clinic. Prior to the surgery the doctor wanted to review his medical history. To comply with the request I gathered all the medical history for my dog for the past three years. However, when attempting to obtain the medical history from Green Valley Ranch Pet Center they told me the information was not available. I had paid all of the bills due to the clinic and by law I'm entitled to his medical history. I implored with the receptionist that the doctor performing the surgery needed to be aware of the recent medical tests and medicine that was administered to avoid any complications with the anesthesia. They ensured me the medical history would be provided within the hour. After an hour I had not received anything related to the prior visit and called them back. The same receptionist assured me they would provide the medical history the next morning (day of surgery). As I drove my dog to have TPLO surgery to repair his leg, I called Green Valley Ranch Pet Center and again asked for his medical history and described the urgent nature of the request. I was informed that the doctor, Chad Stewart, MS, DVM has not been able to review my dogs notes and therefor, I would not be provided the records. When I delivered my dog to the surgeon I did not have the medical history and tried my best to explain the medication my dog was taking and what little results I remembered from my phone call with Chad Stewart. Luckily the surgery went well and my dog has been rehabing very well. However, this isn't the worst scenario of Green Valley Ranch Pet Center's failure to administer my dogs medical history documents. I luckily have pet insurance and when I submitted my claim for reimbursement on the cost of the surgery (which totaled out to be ~$4,000). My claims were not reviewed because Green Valley Ranch Pet Center had not provided the medical history. I reached out to Green Valley Ranch Pet Center numerous times and even had the insurance company contact them on my behalf. And they blatantly refused all requests. Finally, after a month and a half of my original visit I was able to recover my dogs medical history for the visit. Due to the negligence by Green Valley Ranch Pet Center it has delayed the processing of my insurance claim by two months and has caused me to incur substantial charges that I cannot pay. I implore anyone that is considering taking their pets to this center to strongly reconsider and find a better clinic. I'll leave you with two questions. Is it normal for it to take a month and a half to receive your pets medical history from a vet? Is there a potential that malpractice occurred and they tried to cover-up the records? read more

My dog had been suffering from diarrhea. We had been taking her to GVR pet center on going for a month and spent about $900 but the vet doctor couldn't figure out a cure. The vet doctor then sends us to VCA for an ultrasound. The vet doctor at VCA recommended we need an emergency exploratory surgery due to a blockage (quoted us $3000-$5000) and if we couldn't afford it, we should consider euthanasia. We then called our vet doctor at GVR pet center and told him the results. The doctor says he does not perform that type of surgery and their surgeon that does is at least 3 weeks out. Pretty much washed his hands and said good luck. No follow up phone call to see if we were able to figure something out. We ended up at Planned Pethood Plus. They did a re-diagnosis. No blockage. The bacteria in our dog's gut was out of whack. They gave her supportive fluids and antibiotics over the weekend and got her back on track. No surgery. Our dog is still alive. read more

Dr. Neisler and her staff are wonderful! My old vet suddenly disappeared, which is a shame because his office was a mile from my house. So I chose a new vet mostly based on location and the Yelp reviews, naturally. I called last evening, and they were able to get us in first thing this morning. We were greeted nicely, both my little brown dog and me. They got us right into a room and started off with the basics. It then took about 30 minutes for the Dr. to return to see us, but my dog enjoyed the sensory overload of smells. She apologized profusely that they'd had a couple emergencies come in. It was no big deal, as they are so nice. If my dog had an emergency, I'd be grateful if the healthy dog waited. She spent the time to ask me about my pooch's health and behavior, then did a thorough checkup and gave shots. She and her Vet Tech were both very gentle with my girl. Giving her treats helps. I'm pleased with this vet office and will definitely make it our regular one. read more
