This complex located right next to Diamond Jamboree shopping center, which is so convenient since you can walk literally across the street to get to Kickin Crab, 85 Degrees, Coco Ichibanya, Pepper Lunch, H-Mart, BCD tofu, etc etc... you name it. If you're a fatty like me, you'll love the proximity. Honestly, everything here is amazing. The property looks amazing, the amenities are modern and clean and the location is very convenient right next to lots of shopping. Not family friendly at all, if you have a family do not move here. Friend just moved here, single mom. Got harassed by three men that live below her for making noise while she moved it. Amazing how the only thing they said was to file a police report. Sign your lease and everything else is on you. Your safety and that of your child. I guess you got wait for something to actually happen to you, for them to take action ( the cops). The employees at Murphy don't want to help and that's a fact. Amazing how unprofessional and the unwillingness to help a single mother that's is being bullied by another neighbor. Don't even rent from this place, it's not family friendly. The current office manager Jennifer has been great in providing services and supports to the tenants. She is pleasant to talk with and very professional in interacting with people. She is far more friendly, effective, and get things done for you in comparison to the previous manager who was here in 2020. Melodie is a great office agent who provides excellent services, prompt replies to your inquiries, and would go extra steps to fulfill your requests. She is friendly, pleasant and professional in speaking with you and providing services to your needs. I've just recently moved to California and Irvine was one of the places I decided to visit . So far it's a really nice and peaceful city . Irvine definitely one of the safest cities in California. The Murphy apartments was the best choice I Made to move in . I've been here for over 3 months and I got to meet the new management and leasing team and they were wonderful. Jose maintenance supervisor is always on point and amazing person. Easy to talk to and gets things done. Definitely recommend for someone to live here if in the Murphy Irvine apartment. read more

Let's start by saying the initial perception is nice until you actual reside here. The cleanliness is horrible, even though the cleaning crew is here each day. People live so disgusting, enough to attract mice in the pool area (see photo) as people leave garbage all over the place. People also smoke in the apartments and in the elevator. The fire alarm has gone off multiple times in the middle of the night (1-2am). This alarm is extremely loud and goes off until the fire department arrives to shut it off. Half the time you wake up with your heart pounding and wonder if you need to go running out of the building or see if it's a false alarm. No chance of going back to sleep after that. Bike theft is a common occurrence here as the bicycle storage cage is faulty. I had 2 bicycles stolen, one which they used an angle guide to cut through a krypton lock. It took multiple tenant theft complaints before they actually realized that the cage was faulty and anyone could break in. They sent a notice to all tenants to not store their bicycles until further notice. We still don't know if it's safe and it's been months. There's also a design flaw for the dryer vents. They are right over your patio. We have not been to use our patio since we moved in because of all of the dust and lint that blows all over the place. We complained day one when we did our first load of laundry and we were told to deal with it because it's structural and there is no fix for it. Really? Why have a patio that you can't use or need to sweep and dust every day. Not to mention if your windows are open, good luck dusting your living room and bedroom furniture everyday. If you're into techno music you'll love the pool area on the weekend. I grew up listening to Avicci, David Guetta, Deadmau5 etc. (no pun intended) but this is too much. Most people like to relax on the weekend. Good luck. Another horrible situation here is guest parking. There's no such thing. Tenants who don't want to pay the $100 fee for an extra spot park in guest spaces so when you actually have a guest they have to drive to the roof to park. Gym equipment has some issues but they use the maintenance manager (who is awesome by the way for regular maintenance issues) who is not trained to fix this type of equipment so it's really not working properly or to it's full capacity. The last and major issue, which I witnessed on several occasions is that people let their dogs pee and poop on the sidewalks, in the pool area and in the zen garden. Come on, we have a dog park but people are too lazy to walk over there. The staff is amazing here and we wish we could have the at the new place but these major issues that are mostly out of management control diminish the value of this community. Was nice when we moved in but went down hill really fast. There's a lot of great apartments in Irvine for less. Do your research. This community is one of the highest priced apartments in Orange County and not even close to worth it. read more

We moved at this place back in Oct 2018. At that time Murphy was really nice. They screen the people who live here before having them sign the lease. It was good until they changed management and there last year even before Covid, there were numerous break-ins from cars to storages and now a recent attempt to our unit. Our storage was recently broken into last May but management did not even bother to care. they said they will change the lock of the storages but nothing happened. You would see cops almost every week at this building. Most recent one was yesterday because two people who we suspect on airbnb have been trying to break in to our unit. So glad that we have our own Ring monitoring and we were able to save the videos and had IVPD review it. There is so much going on at the first floor due to AIRBNB. I am 100% sure which parking slot is even occupied by AIRBNB people. IVPD even said that AIRBNB is illegal in Irvine so I don't know why the Leasing manager is allowing this. The friendly people like Austin and the others have left. This place turned ghetto and unsafe. We are just here because it is walking distance to my work. Other than that there is nothing nice about this place. If you report an incident to the leasing office, they tell you to call the Cops. They wouldnt care for as long as they get their money every month. Safety is not a concern to the Murphy. read more

Ok this place is legit awesome. My wife and I have lived in several complexes ranging from high end Irvine Company to privately owned small places and this is our favorite home we've had. Let's start with the property, gorgeous landscaping and awesome community spaces. We've made use of the pool/hot tub/fire pit a couple times a week since moving in. Also just saw the rooftop lounge and it looks like a legit hang! Management: Jazmin is amazing and always looking to help in any way she can. And with top notch leasing agents Arielle and Jenna, they've got a great little crew to handle all your needs. Also, the maintenance lead is super legit and always asking if there is anything that needed fixed. They've been quick to help with the few things that come with living in a new place. Overall, I highly recommend the Murphy and if you're cool, I look forward to being your neighbor. We plan to live here until we can purchase and think this will be a great place to call home for the next few years. read more

I'm looking to move in February so I came in to tour at the Murphy. The leasing office is huge and makes a statement when you enter! The staff was super friendly and I was able to see their beautiful and large model. The building doesn't have as many apartments as some of the other Irvine buildings and I thought that it felt cozy. It's super close to the district at Tustin too. It is a little more expensive than I was hoping but I am going to check back in February and I think it will be worth it. read more

I have viewed over 10 properties in the Newport and Irvine area to search for my new home. All tours were self-guided, understandable, but not my preference, except for the Murphy tour guided by the fantastic Austin Hendry. Austin, who has only been employed for a month, knew the property inside in out. As we passed by current residents, he knew their names, and they knew him; you can tell the residents like him immensely. Hands down, this was the best experience I had viewing a property thanks to Austin. The apartments and grounds are beautiful, with excellent amenities! Have you noticed that there hasn't been positive reviews in the last 3-4 months? I can honestly say that I loved this place at one point. Suddenly the management staff was replaced with an entirely new team and it's been the worst experience and major factor in our decision to leave. The current management team is unresponsive, unaccountable and lacks a sense of urgency. Of all apartment complexes that I have lived, I can say this team is by far the worst at communication. I tried to be understanding of their transition but for three separate matters, we had to reach out to the team and follow up for updates multiple times (honestly felt like I was doing their job for them). We never received a renewal notice, as promised. We were not given the proper form until our third visit to the office. We were charged a ridiculous 'early termination' fee when we were leaving on the last day of our lease agreement. We also received a $75.00 late fee and were told that it would be waived because of their mistake with the 'early termination' fee but that was not the case. We finally spoke with the manager, who was incredibly aggressive and clearly does not prioritize customer satisfaction. We reached out for reassurance and peace of mind but were instead met with excuses. For each situation she decided to say that it was her team who made the mistakes and that they were "talked to". The team would tell us that something was taken care of but it was never done; when we addressed the manager she decided to tell us that the request was not possible (when the gentlemen at the office was the one to offer the solution). Three days later we had to reach out to be told that her team member made a mistake and we were now responsible for fees- she blamed it on his lack of experience. I am most upset that with her "15 years of experience" she was unable to pick up the phone or email us with updates. She did not advise her team member to notify us and she did not bother to tell us that we were responsible for the fees. We were under the impression that we were in good standing but again no communication from the office. All I can say is this place needs some quality control and quality assurance. I would never recommend the Murphy to someone- not under this management team. at least. read more

First & Foremost maintenance team is so welcoming, Very nice & always so accommodating, They try to maintain the property to the best of their ability. however things at the office have changed once the whole management team was wiped & replaced by self centered ignorant a**holes. They never do anything for the community. Everything is all over the place with the office, they do not have the courtesy to enforce the rules on residents that feel like they can do what they please. So, 1 week in and already kinda disappointed. Let's start off with service. You're gonna pay a higher rent price, because of the area and new building which brings me to service. If a business entity expects you to pay 2400+ for 1 bedroom rent in the Irvine area you would think that they would pair you up with competent and able leasing office. The people at the front desk are slow to respond and not very helpful. Their is no sense of urgency to ones inquiries and they don't respond via email. You gotta go in person. They could also be more personable. Also, the move in was a pain in the ass! READ THIS....there is only one elevator for the moving people to use and it is far from where they can park their truck. This also makes it painful for one to move in alone. Apartment building setup could have used more thought. Lastly, hidden charges. Everything in this damn place costs money. From parking to apparently, receiving ones packages. Make sure you ask about these fees. The apartment itself is brand spanking new. However, when we received it was dirty. We had to sweep, mop, clean the whole nine yards. Overall, disappointed. Will post another review in 6 months to let you all know how the place holds up. read more

I recently stayed a couple days with a friend here and the place is really amazing. The location is convenient and close to many restaurants and very close to the airport. I may be looking at moving to the Irvine area for work and this is definitely my first choice as a residence. I made sure to stop by the office before I left to inquire about availability and everyone in there was so helpful and polite really made me feel like I was already home even though I am not a tenet yet. I would like to point out that the other reviewers really only have one or 2 official reviews on yelp. I signed up on yelp just to leave this review. I have major RENTERS REMORSE. I needed a place to live due to a new job and I kinda just picked this one on a whim, because it looked nice and was close to my new office. A couple weeks in and it has been a huge pain and I'm very annoyed. I can guarantee you there are better options out there for the price...but as stated I needed a place to live fast due to work. Let me start off with the problems....They have these key fobs that are electronic....they never work! So the leasing office tells you to use to use the app, because that's a great idea. Well, the app is not Android friendly so not very helpful. Let me continue....trash here is $45 a month...WTH...ludicrous pricing. This was not disclosed earlier and didn't realize this until I had to make my first payment on 10/01. Also, leasing office is not helpful and did not make the move in easy. They did not provide any kind of welcome material providing me with information for internet providers or show me where the mail room is. Actually, they don't put much effort into things and I don't want to be mean, but they're not helpful. A big issue that I had was having to pay $50 to have my packages delivered here. I didn't know until move in day! I have to use a service here called "Luxer" so if you want to receive any sort of package every resident has to sign up for that service here. You see the trend right....$ pit. Next issue....apparently each unit gets 1 parking spot and every parking spot thereafter is $100 monthly! So now I have to pay an additional $100 plus the above listed fee's just for my partner to have a parking space. Don't make the mistake I did....just look elsewhere if you have the time and resources. Sure the place is new and amenities are new, but not really worth it in my opinion unless you have $ to spare from your $ tree to pay for all the above listed services. read more
